The way I see it is Russia baited Georgia into war over Ossetia. This war now means that Georgia can't join NATO. Both sides are equally fucked.
The problem with "the MSM" is not that they're trying to get you to "join the right side," but that they are choosing sides in the first place. Seems like some of the people in this thread are biting the Russian media propaganda instead.

Yes, the problem is the US politicians and media are automatically first chosing sides and then look at the facts. Also, you know war is quite profitable also for the MSM, as they get much more viewers.

Do you believe in the rule of law? Well, Russia handed out passports in South Ossetia. This would be like Spain handing out passports in Puerto Rico. The right thing for them do would be to talk to Georgia and cut a deal for them to let go of South Ossetia.

I don't know if you realize this, but, Russia ethnically cleansed Georgia, too. Putin himself ethnically cleansed Chechyna. The ukranians (one of my coworkers is Ukrainian) are going bat-crazy because they think that Russia will somehow use this to leverage into a reinvasion of Ukraine. That sort of suspicion does not come out of an innocent past. What the doofus on the video never mentioned was that Saksiavili offered surrender, many times, over the last few days, and Russia refused. Do you believe in just war? Russia bombed civilian targets within Georgia as retribution. How is that a proportional response?
Both sides are totally effed up in this conflict, which is why we should NOT BE TAKING SIDES. How do you not understand this?

Your right. We do not need to take sides. You lined yourself with the Innocent Georgians who did nothing to aggravate this conflict. The big bad Russians got a wild hair up their ass and decided they wanted to attack someone for a weekend. The hapless Georgians were sipping tea and watching "Armenia's funniest home video's". Then out of the blue Russia starts attacking everyone for no apparent reason other than they like war. The harmless Georgian president cried out for a cease fire but the insane Russians wanted blood. They killed babies and cats. Children and dogs. The Russians were merciless in there blood lust. They dropped bombs on hospitals andd razed crops. Raped cattle and made off with the farmers daughter.
That is the war according to the MSM from which you have been getting your info from. I have been digging around in this dirt a little longer than you have so please next time calm yourself and get so news from outside sources. Anything other than Faux news and CNN should suffice.

As I previously reported on another thread a couple days ago...from a friend that is in US state of Georgia National Guard who is stateside now but has friends he recently spoke with that were deployed in Georgia Ossetia region as part of US training for this operation "Immediate Response" They told them that in last two weeks the Russian military has been extensively building along border in expectation of this attack. The troops he spoke with in National Guard have since been pulled out.
Also, I see the same sort of tactics in this attack as I remember from our involvement in Kosovo . Please research for history of how US played /manipulated that by MSM spin. We always use "backing democracy" in these countries to gather support just to put in place the scenario where we eventually profit from oil /coal reserves and as an excuse for permanent US military bases. The people in these regions do not matter at all to the powers involved...they are only expendable pawns in their bigger game.
