Ron Paul Republican George Lily Wins in Colorado!

Yesterday, Ron Paul endorsed Republican George Lilly, running in Colorado's the 1st Congressional District, defeated Charles Crain for the right to take on six-term incumbent Denver Democrat Rep. Diana DeGette in the November general election.

This District is Beyond Solidly Democratic - It's a Lock
It was gerrymandered decades ago for Patsy Schroeder who held the seat for 24 years. It has a very high GLBT population, etc. The GOP used to let them run unopposed. DeGette will win with >70% of the vote. Just a dose of political reality. There are many good Ron Paul candidates, both libertarian and GOP and they should all be asking for funds and endorsements from Ron. The $$$ is there because we gave it.

and a hyphen between "endorsed" and "Republican" would make that much more readily comprehendable.

If you're not familiar with the situation in Colorado, here's what doesn't get reported:
The Neocon State Chairman of the Colorado GOP and his Neocon attorney lapdog were involved with getting an opponent to run against George in the hopes of killing him off in the primaries.
The opponent they picked listed his address as a homeless shelter.
George didn't really run much of a campaign because he realized that most Republicans in district 1 (including people who were not interested in Ron Paul) would like to see George run against the Democrat incumbent.
Now every Ron Paul Republican has a candidate to truly campaign FOR in the general election!

I have met George, and I can attest that he does believe in values such as limited federal gov't.
