They call it a bull market,

They call it a bull market, because it wants to throw or buck you off.

If I'm selling

If I'm selling that means that all the shit has hit the fan. It is my self-insurance, My way to survive in a calamity. I'd be most pleased to never have used it so my kids can have it.

I will sell my silver when

1000 ounces buys a median-priced American home.

Priced to move

....terms negotiable...

Trading or investing

If you are investing (long term), then this question is irrelevant, considering what always happens to fiat currencies at the end of the game. My answer is, I will sell my gold when it gets close to the 1980 levels in price, adjusted for REAL inflation (see shadowstats.com for more on this). This could be 10 years out or more, or it could be sooner. Who knows. Gold and silver, unlike paper, have intrinsic value. They can and will go down hard, but they never go to zero (unlike paper which is based on promises, such as those "backed by the full faith and credit" of any government. Credit is nothing more than a promise. Currencies today are credit currencies. Metal is real.

If you are trading, then your system should have a predetermined stop in place (for example, below the most recent weekly pivot low), and you should not need to ask anyone else when it is time to sell. That's as straightforward as it gets.

By the way, the current downward spike in commodity prices is likely a result of de-leveraging of hedge funds that were over leveraged long the commodities. Spot prices of metals are determined on the Comex, but you can't actually buy real gold and silver at the reported spot price with no premium. (Go out and try it sometime.) For more on this, see

Silver Shotage?

Wow, I buy my coins from APMEX but most all of the sites are experincing a stock shortage. Just two types of libertys available at APMEX right noe. I buy and hold for rainy days.

APMEX screwed me last week!

HYDROMAN
I ordered 10 1/2 Oz. Krands they said they had in stock. They sent me 5 1 Oz. Krands but did not tell me about the substitution. I will not deal with them again. My best source is ajpm.com and they have never changed or screwed up an order for me + they are lower in price with free shipping of 10 Oz. or more.

Oops, please forgive the missspelling.

Silver Shortage?

Oops, please forgive the missspelling.

Silver Shortage?

I'm playing....

I sold about 200 ounces of silver on Ebay when it was at @ $18.30 or so an ounce. We bought most of those silver bars when silver was at $13.00 an ounce so we did ok. The most important part is that we didn't spend the monopoly money that people sent us in trade, and it will be used to purchase more silver, rather than buying whatever new and useless electronic gadget that babylon is putting out there for the sheep.

I haven't sold anything, i'm

I haven't sold anything, i'm taking the short term loss for the long term gain

In a bear market never invest in anything ....

that includes precious metals and cash.

Always trade.

A bear market = investor's nightmare = trader's wet dream.

WAHOR!!

Have a supply

Just going to hold till my kids get Married ,,will not sell. The market manipulation can not continue for ever . Two things need to happen People all over the world need to get out of paper metals and only hold real metal . And possibly even shorter term people who are buying silver when they are told of a waiting period ,,,,We need to buy silver or gold were we can get it today

bought in 99' still have and

bought in 99' still have and have not sold.. 6 months from now people will be on this site will be bitching and complaining because they either sold or didn't buy! mark my words! the dollar will not strengthen.. it can only go down.. we are not heading into deflation. if slower business is deflationary then why is zimbabwe experiencing HYPERINFLATION!
talk about a depressed economy!

Zimbabwe

embarked in the practice of PHYSICALLY printing their currency. In such situation, defaults do not wipe out the currency. The currency is physically in existence, unlike the US Dollar which exist in computer entries, and is wiped off the slate when a default occurs.

The same is true of Argentina, same was true with 1920's Germany.

Right so the federal reserve

Right so the federal reserve since they don't need paper can print trillions more money, and quicker! we are no different from those other countries.. eventually it will ruin the currency.. and gold and silver will still be there, thats when the stampede starts! better get what you can get while you can. Tlked to my coin dealer in town today.. he is the largest dealer in denver.. he said he has people wanting to buy but NO supply!
what does that tell you? the spot prices are manipulated.. all you who think you can sell your silver and gold and make a quick profit, then turn around and buy it back are going to be in for a surprise when there is no metal to repurchase!

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

Buying although, I do hope it dips even lower (evil girl grin)

Once you come to understand that metals are a store of wealth and honest money, you just don't look at it the same way as dollars or stocks.

Well....I have a few silver

Well....I have a few silver coins....and the way I see it, why horde the metals when the price is high? Its going to go back down at some point. The dollar is going to go back up.

Hahaha..

Nah... I'm not even gonna bother. You are already shown for what you are.

They can keep their dollars.

I bought some when gold was below $300 and silver was below $6, so I have room to spare. If it drops down to these prices again, I will probably be able to buy gasoline for around $1 a gallon, so I really won't have lost any money.
Actually I made a table counter out of Benjamin 50 cent pieces which is probably not going to be traded. Silverware is also nice to use on a daily basis, have to be practical too...
grant

there ya go!

there ya go!

Not selling

Buying and holding till the system collapses, then we'll see what happens.

Physical gold and silver............

should be purchased as a "storage of wealth" to offset inflation. If you want to trade commodities such as precious metals, then you should buy mining stocks, or ETF.

As far as I know, everyone with a brain is buying.

Can't find a 'monster box' of silver eagles on Ebay AT ALL! Onesie-twosie sales, mint sets, etc. One guys asking for 12K for a monster box(500 coins) that he'll have for a while....

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

LOL!!!

He's trying to get ALL of his money back! ;)

Hold'em

I will not sell until at least until after the election. It's time to buy!

STR!KE

Went shopping yesterday and picked up MORE Ag & Au.

Oooo..

Periodic table of elements. So what's the letters on the front of your super hero tights. Ce?

Cerium?

Named for the asteroid Ceres? Also discovered in the early 19th century?
What's the connection? Let's see, then, consulting my CRC (56th ed 1976)...

"Cerium compounds are used in the manufacture of glass, both as a component and as a decolorizer... [and] an important constituent of incandescent gas mantles."

Do you suggest that, like Cerium, I cast light and promote clarity and transparency in communication? You flatter me enormously.

Or is the association more with Ceres, goddess of the harvest, and provender of plenty. No, that wouldn't be it. She's too giving and good.

So it's the metal. Not radioactive itself, but often found in the company of unstable lanthanides and actinides, and thus may be judged by the company it keeps.

Still, Cerium Man has nowhere near the ring of "Iron Man" or "The Golden Avenger." Thanks, I should probably stick with Lethargy Lad.

However, if you insist on the metallic connection, I'd have to recommend either Osmium or Iridium, as they are both quite dense. I think I'd lean more toward Ir, as Os is quite toxic and I am rather more benign.

Thank you and good afternoon.

I am only buying...

when cash flow allows. I am NOT a trader. This is my savings account. I won't consider selling any until we pass through this financial black hole and have a stable currency backed by gold. Don't laugh, it's possible.

gold and silver

I bought a lot at 654, sold it at 920, bought a little back at 815. It's at 809 as I write this. I don't recommend trading. You asked.

newbie wants to buy

In a democracy you do not always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve. Edwin Albin

I am not sure where to buy gold and silver, I have been checking with monex and looking on the internet. Any good advice I could get from a fellow brother or sister for freedom would be highly appreciated
