there is no reason for any dealer to get any personal info to sell to you unless you are buying kilo bars of gold, kuggerands, or philharmonics.

i've invested in gold/silver for some years. take physical posession of your commodities and do NOT buy online. if "they" confiscated or tax your gold/silver the information you give on line will help them.

find a reputable local coin shop and buy with cash. bury your gold/silver, put it in a safe, etc.

if you want to invest in gold/silver mining companies, euro pacific (peter schiff) is a good company, but if the crap really hits the fan you will be faced with the same challenge.
