Tomer (alias), formerly a soldier of an elite IDF unit, returned from Georgia a short while ago. He was enlisted by Defensive Shield, a company owned and operated by Brigadier General (Res.) Gal Hirsch, to help train Georgian soldiers for battle, but returned disappointed in the manner in which the company handles secret army material.

Merkel and Sarkozy put the NATO membership of Georgia on hold earlier...
one of the requirements for membership is that there should be NO territorial disputes int he country, so Georgia does NOT qualify (at this moment still).

Yes, they have been there for a while
and also the US national guard from Georgia ( state ) was there to help train...they were pulled back on the 7th! It was in Stars and Stripes article..I will try to find it. Also, my daughters friend is in National guard and he has friends that were there helping to train the Georgians.
