Hey! Check out Dr. Paul's Liberty PAC!
Thanks for the head's up from Steven Vasquez for pointing out that Dr. Paul has revived his www.LibertyPac.net.
Officially endorsed candidates can be found at:
Federal Candidates
State Candidates
Steven notes that this hasn't gotten a lot of attention in the Ron Paul communities and it deserves its own post. I agree!
You can hear a three part interview with Steven via this link.

Thanks for letting me know
Thanks for letting me know that. I plan on asking for my last donation back. I'd rather give it to Barr.
Most contributions come from the congressional campaign
There are a number of federal and state candidates who received $$$ that are listed in the 2nd quarter FEC report. Note that $10,000 was given to the C4L:

Also, in June, the presidential campaign gave $25,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee: Where that $$ goes is anybody's guess:

Thank you for pointing this
Thank you for pointing this out. I just called and someone will be getting back to me. There is no way I want my hard earned money going to support the Republican committee! I am beyond pissed off.
Well,
since Dr. Paul is a Republican, he probably has to give some $$ to the RNC. It could also be that at that stage there were negotiations about a speaking role for him at the RNC. 25k is not the world.
As not other politicians, you are almost never going to get political friends with which you agree on 100% all the time.
Candidates are not Ron Paul
Endorsed by RP, may be better then opponent but check out Roscoe Bartlett (Maryland's 6th congressional district) position on Iraq,"To win the war against terrorism, we must succeed in assisting the Iraqi people struggling to overcome foreign terrorists and insurgents and establish a government that will serve their interests instead of an anti-American tyrant's. No other country is willing or capable to lead this effort. To cut and run would create a power vacuum and make Iraq a haven for terrorists." I'm not enthused by this candidate. I don't think he really gets it.
Mixed Bag
Some of the candidates had great positions. There were a couple, like Denny Rehberg of Montana who left a bad taste in my mouth with talk of fighting for farm subsidies etc.
I do know that there are a lot more Ron Paul candidates out there than are on that list. There are some that are running for state representative here in NH, and for whatever reason they aren't aware of the Liberty PAC, or preffer not to be associated with it for whatever reason.
I hope we can see legitimately pro-freedom candidates win this year, and I really expect that there will be some sucess.
WTF?
People on this site day after day after day beat up on Bob Barr, and yet drool over a list that has this guy on it?
http://www.lambornforcong...
To be fair, I'm not familiar with him but I'll be in Denver tomorrow on business so that was probably on my mind as I picked one at random to view. There wasn't one from my state on the list.
His was the only site I looked at and all three pages I clicked on on his site were a turn off for me. So maybe you can tell me why his defense of marriage is ok, yet Barr's is bad when Barr said he was wrong in pushing for it?
Or maybe his comment on how great the surge in Iraq is just splendid, yet Barr's comment that had he known is was going to lead to what it did was an abomination?
And finally, he wants to build a wall to keep those darn Mexicans out. Yeah that's what we need.
Please tell me what I am missing here?
It should be noted
that Dr. Paul also said he would have voted for DOMA and he voted against the FEDERAL marriage amendment, according to the federalist position. Indeed, Dr. Paul and Barr's positions are very close on this issue as well.
to be fair
let ppl support whom they wan´t...
Which candidates have received support?
How does one discover which local candidates have received support from the Liberty PAC?
Cool. That site was dead and
Cool. That site was dead and void of any real content when I first visited it several months ago. Nice to see it being put to good use.

wonderful.
a money ticker would be great :)
Michael
great, I saw the wonderful redesign a few weeks ago and glad to see the federal list has been updated with two names, especially Tom McClintock.
There was a nice article about McClintock at reason.com a few weeks ago, he is basically in agreement with Dr. Paul, including the commodity/gold standard. He is sure to win his district, I think.
Maybe he could also be a speaker or be invited to the rally for the Republic.
I think it would be a great idea to also have candidate Barb Lee White, who is an African-American woman running against the (Muslim) Keith Ellison. She delivered a powerful speech - can see it on her website - in which she describe herself as a pro-life conservative and capitalist and also "blasted" McCain in the speech, which I LOVE so much. This would also help her candidacy and also demonstrate how diverse we are. Dr. Paul received the most African-American voters from all the GOP candidates in the primaries, I have heard, and she is a woman as well. I also see she has a Masters degree (I think) in Theology, which is very good.
Sure hope those candidate
Sure hope those candidate pages literally FILL UP over the next couple of years...
The site looks great.
Thanks for the info!
