I expect things like this to pop up in the forum topics every now and then, but I'm disappointed that this has been put on the front page.

Frankly, I'm agnostic about these things. I've looked into them a little and can't explain the ones where the stalks seem to be bent by heat, with the plants livings and continuing to grow sideways. That said, this doesn't belong on the front page, even on a slow news day.

How come we never see crop circles in fields of zucchini? Or pumpkins? Now THERE'S a crop circle I would like to see!

I read that the stalks are bent 51 degrees, not broken, and the crop is not damaged. The "fruit" (grain) is still harvestable. Also that no animals are found in them except two porcupines were found once and their quills were mixed into the crops. They were not alive. Also that some formations have been found in snow or ice and sometimes the formation is on an inner level of ice. Also that these non-crop formations have been found in St. Paul.

This is a great site showing who the artists and techniques behind making cropcircles. They are works of art, and math, done with exquisite skill and yes, mystery. Unfortunately for those of the alien persuasion I hate to disappoint, but they are made by very clever humans. This does not diminish their beauty or put them in a class of being a hoax, just pure ingenuity. There are some cropcircles that are unexplained, and a mystery to these circle makers however. :)

The artist's talent is showcased in a spectacular way because of the sudden mysterious appearance of this work overnight as well as the farmer gets compensated far more than what may be damaged in the field. The only thing is the artist and farmer need to collaborate to make money.

2 guys confessed to creating crop circles, but has anyone ever been caught in the act of creating a crop cirle? I don't believe so. I find it rather odd that in the 20 or so years that this has been going on, that no one has been caught red-handed.

But who pays for the damaged crops?

Yeah....Belief in Crop Circles isnt a stereotype of a Ron Paul supporter at all....way to dispell the beliefs of the rest of the world.
