I think (and I'm totally BS guestimating here) that rappers who use violent lyrics are trying to somehow relate to their target audiences through their lyrics while blurring the lines of reality through their established street cred. Rap afficionados tend not to take a rapper who uses violent lyrics seriously unless they've been to jail, been shot or shot at, or shot at someone, or have done some other similarly violent act described in their lyrics. Then there's metephors which are a whole different "figure of speech" as you put it. It's that blurring the lines of reality that I think scares the bajeezus out of white folks because they and their sheltered kids are too stupid to know the difference.

Come on man, I know its just an "expression", but have you ever heard the term "blowback". I know your have. If you dis fellow Ron Paul supporters, then the blowback will be real. Especially with Ron Paul supporters, who would gladly give their lives for the "message".

You are a passionate individual, and a true supporter of Ron Paul's message, but you need to deal more tactfully with others. Not every one agrees with what I have to say, and not everyone will agree with what You have to say. But we must try to be respectful and argue our points intelligently without derision and foul language. I have fallen into that trap before, and it doesn't help spread the message. Do not lose heart, we all want to change this country for the better.

Cameron. I was asleep in fact comatose so when I woke up I had a lot of catching up to do. I learned a lot of stuff and in my excitement and desire to help others I get over excited and maybe pushy. Being involved is just so new and different. I never supported anyone with money other than Ross Perot. I am learning to use the computer and I am proud of it because I didn't think it was possible for me. I gave to Dr. Paul because I believe Dr. Paul. I have given to others but I am more selective. After the rally I will make up my mind on what I want to do. I like Alex Jones because I get information from him that I won't hear on MSM. I think the ganging up is more about respect. disappointed in Olbermann I like him a lot as well as the others you mentioned I even have their books. When Dr. Paul was running it sure could have helped if Olbermann could have given Dr. Paul some coverage. I kept looking for it. If he is against the war and for civil liberties Dr. Paul should have been a natural fit. Then it clicked for me a while back when I was watching the news on all the stations. Every time we bring up about free speech people look at us like we are crazy. They point to the O'Rielly's and Olbermann's and they say "What the hell are you talking about". This is just my two cents so I don't think there is harm in speaking but their owned lock stock and barrel. They're performance is Oscar quality. Even Rush Limbaugh Mr. Republican, yah, yah perfect conservative comes along and where's Rush's support for Dr. Paul. Here is the way I see it. If you own both sides of the argument you win.
