Hi All! I have been lurking on here since February and have decided to come out of hiding, I am a huge Ron Paul supporter. Like many others, he has brought me out of apathetic views of politics. I wanted to overall thank you all for the information you have shared on here! It has been a blessing and I am very appreciative of it. I joined the a Young Republican group last night and it was great to see young people getting involved. I was probably the oldest in the room. I am 28 and a high school teacher. So for me besides sharing information, it was great to see younger people actively involved. My cousin is really getting into the whole arena and in a few years will definetly be running for various seats. Again, thank you all

Since I am still "learning"
Since I am still "learning" myself about politics I work more with them shaping themselves, then on actual politics. As it integrates more into my everyday vernacular, then it will be part of me and will be shared more effectively. Unless, I "get it" and have a passion, I steer clear because I doubt myself. You guys have given me so much food for thought, as well as an education that I will be passing on as I feel more confortable. As will all things, it has to be done carefully so we can fly under the radar.

Hello fellow English
Hello fellow English teacher! Reading early American Lit really influenced my politics. Age of Reason, Common Sense, Federalist Papers, etc. I tried to sneak in little comments about self-reliance. That era is loaded with religious stuff from the Puritans too, which battles common sense a bit. Anyway, welcome and I hope to read your comments.
Teacher, do you have to be guarded with your views
in the classroom? Have you had the courage to speak up with other
teachers?

I know a teacher who teaches history and government and he
has to tow the line cause he cannot tell the truth to the students.
He's so frustrated and it's so hard to repeat the lies in the books.

overall, they are trying to rebuild the party from the ground up. They disagree with the ways things are going in the party and they want the Neocons out. Some are avid Paul supporters and others respect him highly. They are reaching out to the colleges as well as the high school to get kids involved in their future.

I got to meet a
I got to meet a congressional candidate for NY last night and everytime he said McCain I cringed. Afterwards, I spoke with my cousin and he stated that they are trying to rebuild from the ground up but they still have to play the game. His friends are going to the rally. They actually have a 21 year old running for an Assembly seat. My cousin was asked to run for another one but he did not live in the district. So it will be interesting to see how they proceed in the future.
