General Strike

Has anyone else come across this website: General Strike?
Many individuals have suggested to quit supporting this "elite" group monetarily through their corporations. However, beside that course of action, they are suggesting taking things a step further by striking on Sept 11, 2008 all across the nation. We can do this peacefully, we can send this message virally - we don't need to push anyone's agenda, anyone's theories...EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE knows there is something wrong with this country. They may not know what it is but they are paying more for their basic needs, they are seeing violence breaking out at our borders, they are seeing how FEMA reacts during times of crisis', they are seeing the socialism developing in the school systems...WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I have been on strike

my whole life.

I have already been doing that myself,

for a while now.
I only buy used stuff, if at all possible, and don't contribute to any sales taxes or major corporate outlets.
When I have to buy new, I buy at locally owned "Mom and Pop" type stores.

Even though gas has dropped a bit, I'm still not driving any more than is absolutely necessary. I want them to keep feeling the pinch.
And I'm doing it day in, and day out, and not just on one day.

I may only be one person, but I'm doing it, and I'll bet that I'm not the only one, either.

I'm with you too.

I started boycotting Walmart several years ago, I've never gotten in the habit of buying pop (thankfully, with all that high fructose corn syrup now), buy only what I need, go to the local fresh food markets, grow some of my own vegetables (will be canning for the first time in my life) and read ALL food labels to avoid certain GM food products. I make sure to read all labels to avoid buying anything NOT made in America! I've made my own list of major corporations that are supporting NAFTA, CAFTA, and illegal immigration so I don't use or buy those products either. But, I really believe if we could all pitch in and strike on a certain day - stand in groups with signs in front of our state capitols - just like Argentina we start banging our pots and pans - someone is bound to get the message!!!!

Why only buy American?

Dr. Paul is against NAFA and CAFTA but he's not a protectionist. He's for free unrestricted trade across borders. He says we should be trading with other countries. If you're buying American when American is more expensive, then you're contributing the inefficiency of the world economy. Doesn't make sense.

Don't blame me if there's no voice for liberty opposing McCain and Obama in the Presidential debates. I donated to Ron Paul Libertarian, Bob Barr's campaign.
