She has endorsed Barack Obama in February as an antiwar Republican, but one wonders whether she would have her doubts in the meantime after Obama's weakness with AIPAC and his continuation of more war in Afghanistan etc.

Eisenhower was a great man
Eisenhower was a great man and a great President. My grandfather was a big fan of his and even got to shake his hand when he came to Chile for a visit. He knew about the military industrial complex and was very decided in not getting involved in the Suez Canal situation. He had guts.
Eisehower and RP are very similiar.
Ike warned the American People in his "Cross of Iron" speech about the cost and folly of war. He reiterated this same thinking in his televised "Military Industrial Complex" speech. I wonder who he was talking about when he said "Never before have so few people had so much power" - Go Figure!
You don't get any more conservative, honorable and trustworthy than IKE.
