one dissident is powerless, but a multitude who,morally in a higher position, stirred even the battlehardened soldiers of our insurgency plagued country. the people there offered flowers, food to the soldiers, and held their hands together waiting for the firing to start, and the tanks turned around. it lasted just days,until our dictator was whisked away in an american helicopter and taken to hawaii to spend his last days---a washington puppet to the end. the control apparatus of fear disappeared. it was like the old egyptian people or incan people when they, for the first time believed, that their rulers were not god-kings, but mere mortal men.

even the 20,000 strong armed communist insurgent army could not make heads or tails of what was happening, as ordinary people stepped in the middle of a situation that was nearing a civil war.

bloodless revolutions do happen my friends. it was our people's finest hour. may it inspire you all, because it did happen. it is something the global elite are afraid of letting out into the open. we also have another revolution now--creating communiities outside the federal reserve system,and it is working, and is now being exported around asia. these machiavellian group is being attacked now on all sides, and is fighting for their way of life

Ron Paul has made it clear that he believes in Austrian economics and that he is a gold bug. So any posts on those subjects (both pro and con - the DP is not an echo chamber) are relevant.

Paul has also made his position clear on immigration and a number of other topics - they are enumerated in his recent book. So it is entirely relevant to discuss those things here.

However, he has NOT made any mention of UFOs, secret societies, alternate explanation for 9-11, etc. There are lots of sites on the internet where such topics are welcome. Let's keep the DP focused on things Ron Paul himself has actually discussed.

I think that the "Campaign for Liberty" is being designed to answer your call. I think that Dr. Paul's mission with this new organization is to offer you EXACTLY the ideas and training you need to help turn the country's THINKING around. AND, I think he is kicking off this new organization this week and will be explaining more about it's FUNCTION this week and on into the future. The C4L is the perfect extension of the Revolution.

Did you know that delegates to the Republican National Convention should never, under any circumstances vote for John McCain? Instead, they should vote for Dr. Ron Paul; because, after all, a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for freedom.

We Revolt at the GOP Convention. Don't get discouraged we are going to win the nomination. Like they say "it's not over until the fat lady sings" and she ain't sung yet. The delegates are going to do this so if you know any or are on any other sites spread this message....

If Ron would have given direction concerning the delegate process in the beginning we would have had this election wrapped up already.Still possible but the disinfo tools are hiding this at DP. My opinion is that the delegates that have been bound to vote for McCain 1st round that are now enlightened by Paulites or just the plain old truth have to vote their conscience and vote Paul first round to stop McCain from getting the required number first round. Damned people are still telling people to vote first round McCain if they are bound.This is really important and we are just about out of time and I think since there are only 11 days left. I encourage all the delegates to revolt and also try for a vote of no confidence motion in McCain from the floor before ANY voting even starts.This could make the difference in McCain not getting the required amount and winning the nomination.

After the National Convention the focus will no longer be on the presidential candidacy of Ron Paul. That much is true.

However, to say that Ron Paul will cease to be the guiding star that inspires this movement is to be in error.

What needs to happen is to refocus our enthusiasm for Ron Paul's candidacy on analagous local races in our own back yards. We now have organized groups all over the country, united as the C4L.

Make sure that the enthusiasm of your local liberty supporting group does not dissipate. Get it refocused on filling empty precinct level Republican Party openings with your liberty supporters. Run one of your people for city or county commissioner, constable, school board, or if you're really organized, your state house of representatives. Get behind them with all the enthusiasm and energy you had for Ron Paul.

If you live in a state where, as in Texas, the Republican Liberty Caucus is strong and growing, join, and work through your local chapter. If your town doesn't have a local chapter, join the state chapter and start a local group. The liberty Caucus has roots going back over 15 years, much longer than the Ron Paul meetups. Some of our people have been in the Republican Party for decades, and are respected as real Republicans. The Liberty Caucus is an ideal way in many places to gain acceptance in the local Party, as you gain a voice through your precinct chairmen on your county's local executive committee.

As your local RLC chapter grows to 15, 20 or more members, begin inviting local candidates for office to your meetings. Let them know that you will support candidates who support RLC principles. If there is no good candidate, run one of your own people.

Keep the number of races you support and the number of candidates you campaign for and give money to down to the number you can really help. In other words, choose your battles wisely, but when you do, go all-out. When local party people see that your support makes a critical difference, and your supported candidate wins for the first time, you will gain unimagined respect and clout in your local party.

We just need to promote it, support it and use it.

in conversation. Be tactful, friendly and honest. The truth will prevail.

Monetary policy the federal reserve and the IRS and how it has caused all these problems. People right now are feeling the crunch of inflation and know something is wrong, and people universally hate the income tax. This is how we educate people appeal to things they are feeling and seeing right now but do not fully understand what's going on.

The new movie IOUSA will be a good tool it does not go as far as I would like but it could do well for the sheeple without scaring them off . Freedom to Fascism has been a very good tool for this also.

I am thinking IOUSA will prime people for FTF although FTF has done very well on it's own when given to folks and they watch it.

This is a refreshing post, I agree we need to stop focusing on divisive issues and focus on what unites us.

First...our central focus has shifted away from Dr. Paul's 2008 campaign for president (note, I didn't say we've given up) and moved to the Campaign for Liberty.

The best way i've found to get people on the path to understanding our cause is asking them to dream of what we could accomplish. Commit these numbers to memory.

The federal budget has increased by 1.3 trillion dollar in the last decade.
We pay less than 1.3 trillion dollars in income tax
Therefore...if we reduced the size of the federal government to the same as it was in 1998, we could eliminate the income tax without any other effect.

Or ask them to imagine a world where a US soldier lives on a base in the United States, spends their money on US goods, and is responsible for defending America. Instead, we have a Homeland Security department. Shouldn't the Department of Defense handle "gasp" defending America?

In order to win, we must stay focused and not be split into factions. I think some clear objectives should be our focus.

1) Reduce the size and scope of the federal government
2) Balance the federal budget
3) Get a grip on immigration
4) Close unnecessary military bases and bring our children home
5) Get rid of the income tax
6) Rededicate ourselves to freedom
7) Read and live by the constitution

Any other suggestions?

They have jobs, mortgages, bills to pay. They worry about their future and the future of their children and they often represent fertile ground for planting the seeds of revolution. As suggested, the process should begin by engaging their individual concerns and developing a personal trust. We do what we can do.
