My main tactic for soliciting support from businesses will be to create a network that will effectively pay them to donate to liberty.

I'm not going to ask businesses to put signs up for Ron Paul myself, but that is always something that patrons can ask of them.

Perhaps businesses will even ask their patrons to put up Ron Paul signs.

there is no reason why we can't have every kind of business that there is, listed nearby everyone in America.

I'm going to try to collect $1000 in donations, so that I can get the most important things done perfectly:

* Search function/browse function bugfixes.
* The ability for users to rate businesses, and the ability for listing owners to respond to ratings.
* The development of a tool that allows listing owners to show how much money, if any, that they have donated to liberty campaigns.
* The ability for users to add their own categories

It's free to list with the site, and the way that I plan on verifying that businesses are legitimate liberty supporting organizations, is by developing a tool that allows listing owners to show how much money, if any, that they have donated to liberty campaigns.

Anything that a company would like to advertise, including any special deals that they may offer other Ron Paul supporters, may be added to the "business message" part of the standard listing form, or the company may insert its own HTML code on my site, and create what is essentially their own web page on my site.

I'm going to add a feedback system, so that users can rate businesses, and businesses can respond, and anyone will be able to see all comments from any one user, so that an online identity can be developed.

Then I'd like to add the ability for any user to show how much money they have donated, if any, to liberty candidates, so that the dynamic can go both ways.

The "News" section of the site has a list of planned fixes/upgrades, and that is definitely on my list.

One really important thing is gonna be when I add a rating system for users, that won't be too hard.

Then I wanna add a complete auction system to the site, and definitely a barter system.

A barter system may be particularly handy if a complete economic meltdown occurs!

I cannot stress how much I believe in this project.

We have 1.2 million people who voted for Ron Paul, and if we think of that segment of the population as a literal market by which we can enrich ourselves and while directing a consistent flow of currency towards the movement with, then anything is possible.

But I do have the foundation of the site built, and just zooming in works fine, in the same way as any of these internet maps (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo)

You click on an empty area of the map, and then you drag the map so that the area that you want to zoom into appears right in the middle of the map.

Being able to do that well may require some practice, and in the future I may pioneer a method to make this super easy.

If crosshairs appear in the middle of the map whenever a user is dragging it, then the user will not have to estimate when the desired area is moved into the exact middle of the map.

Also, are you sure that zooming in right away takes you to the middle east?

It should zoom into Germany in that instance.

Well, I never thought that promoting this project could be perceived as distracting from anything that DVD's for delegates is doing.

Though you have always had very nice things to say about my project, so this gives me great pause I suppose.

Do other people feel this way too?

My perspective is just that I am extremely emotionally and financially invested in this, so I'm just trying to do everything I can to make sure that it succeeds.

I know that the CFL has told me that they will be featuring the project on their website, so I'm just trying to keep the project bumped in the forums, so that I can get a couple of new people signing up per day, because then I feel like I'm making sure that the project does not go stagnant.

I thought I was doing everything I could, but now I feel worried.

I guess that I will make a post that asks everyone their opinion on this, so then I can know if I really need to tone it down for the next week.

At least it's only a week anyways.
