Weren't the states raising
Weren't the states raising money individually for their state delegations? I have already contributed to that? I think that makes the most sense, kind of like small government.
Since money is getting
Since money is getting tight, how many delegates have asked for a ride by mentioning their respective location to the folks going to the Rally? They can purchase a one way ticket back home which is cheaper than a round trip tickets. How many delegates are sleeping 3-4 to a room outside of the city? We are renting a room for $69.99/per night. How many are renting are economy car while there is they need one for a day or two cost less than $70. Split with others and it's much cheaper? There are so many ways to cut cost by keeping it simple. The most expensive thing should be the convention. Don't stay in those $120+ hotels a night. That city is way too expensive.

I've seen the amounts of money some folks think they need to get to Minnesota- $2,000+ in some cases.
What are they doing, flying first class, staying at the Ritz, and dining on caviar?
I'm driving from all the way from Texas (in a fuel inefficient truck, at that) and staying at Ronstock ($27 for the whole event), and I don't expect to have my total costs exceed $800 (mostly feeding my gas guzzler), and that includes the cost of the Rally ticket and beer!

Delegates are pretty much
Delegates are pretty much "required" to stay together in hotels that the Republican Party in their state has reserved for them. They told me that in AR. Everyone here told me it cost about $2000 for the trip, so I have not been surprised to see this. I suppose you do not HAVE to stay there, but it is definitely expected.

Due to security issues, the only transportation delegates are allowed is in shuttles from their proper hotels to the venue for the convention. A delegate who is not staying in his hotel will have a hard time getting to the convention center, due to blockades and extended security.
When we were running for delegate spots from Alaska, they told us to expect a total cost of $3,000, and they required a $1,500 deposit up front with our delegate applications, to cover the hotel costs.

I believe the convention is expensive. If i remember correctly, the cost is $400 or something like that to attend. And who knows what else. But yeah maybe it doesn't need to be that expensive. Honestly I did not know there was a moneybomb prior to 9:30 and I just donated money to a local group. I would have given it to the delegates not to mention I donated to the C4L before knowing about the bomb. I am getting tapped :( Plus the cost of going to Minneapolis.

Where is the FEC report at the end of the quarter telling me where my money is going?
I am sorry but without somewhere I could go to view where my money is going I cannot donate to a black hole. Yes I said it. I am not made of money. Ron Paul would probably agree to the point that this wouldn't be fiscally responsible for me to pursue. This is following a formula.

2 Donate money to us to help them (delegates,dead relatives,Ron Paul bus)
3 If you don't donate you hate Ron Paul and freedom.(Same as loving terrorist and being unpatriotic).

Am I saying not to donate? No, I cannot nor would not tell anyone what to do. What I am advocating is critical thinking on such matters. Think before you act. Look before you leap. Set emotions aside and just analyze the situation. Yes I donated to Ron Paul. My name appears on a few FEC reports. That is where my donations end. For Ron Paul and his presidency.
