DNC Report From the Steets. Must Read.
I was at the first day crazyness of the DNC that started today. I live in Denver and first of all there were tons of people. The city has transformed into a political haven, and the media flooded everywhere and everyone. I decided to wear my Perot 08 shirt which was fun to see peoples reactions. Some people were offended and others were humored. I had at least 5 reporters of various news agencies interview me about the shirt ( one being an informal interview instead just a political debate with some Fox News reporters). When asked about my shirt I spoke of a true meaning instead of a humorous one. I explained the message I was trying to send with the shirt was that a vote for Obama or McCain was a vote for the elitist, a vote for the lobbyists, and a vote that forces people to conform to the downfall of the nation, Anyway so I started downtown where I watched Chris Matthews and gang do a live show. Then I quickly and not planned ran into the Recreate 68 crowd. The protesters where out in full force where they were accompanied by the ever growing police state. The riot patrol was out in full force who at times seemed more like robots with no emotion to what was being told to them. Things like " who's streets, @!#K the police" where echoing through out the streets. No matter where we walked we ended up running into the Recreate 68 mass that had their way with the people and streets of Denver. The most moving peace of the protest was when the protest moved to just about to the footsteps of the capital. The mass stopped in front of the capital to make sure their message was heard. Soon thereafter the riot patrol came over their mega phones pleading with the people that they had "4 minutes to remove themselves from the street and move to the sidewalk." This is where the scene got depressing. As people were forced to the sidewalk flipping the police off and yelled in horror, things hit me. The control our government has is disgusting and we no longer live in a free society. The police say they were there to protect the people but the way they were acting was in no way protecting the people. After stepping aside for a water the protest lingered off into the streets. Once again not planned we ran into the protest where the humor portion of the day came. Once again the police were demanding that the protest remove itself from the streets and onto a specific area. Over the mega phone we heard, " attention protesters, this is police chief Piggy Pigface ( he didn't really say that) and I order that you have exactly 4 minutes to move yourself s to the sidewalk.... the time is now.......... 4:20"..... cheers and laughter tore through the streets of Denver. Once again though things turned somber when police were using force to push men children and women to the sidewalks. After that as far as I know the "create crowd" started to disperse where most were left still feeling the real war is between America and itself, with the ever growing police and nanny states. Shortly after while chowing down a Chipotle burrito I glanced up to see a truck driving with a billboard that contained a disturbing message that kept me from eating the rest of my burrito. The billboard contained an anti abortion message which had disturbing images displaying baby's that has been aborted. The message was taking it too far and didn't help my confused thoughts that had been populating about abortion previously.
Overall the day was confusing. The Democrats are supposed to be celebrating the nomination of their candidate but were overwhelmed by the "Revolution". There where many Obama supporters but did not even come close to the number of people who are in for the Revolution of our country to not to conform to the 2 party system. The police state and government control was disgusting and people seemed to agree. There are still many days ahead on the DNC but I do think that Obama and company are in for some pretty loud revolutionary's. It gives me faith that no matter what your party affiliation people are starting to come out of the robot state and realize this country is no longer free or prosperous. I would also like to thank whoever reads this because this is the real media at this point and depending on the response I will continue to try to have daily reports just like this one.

I'll bet....
The mobile anti-abortion billboard truck was be driven around by Clyde Harkins or Doug Newman. They, and other Constitution Party members, loved doing this shtick back when I was active in Denver, and I imagine nothing has really changed, except maybe the drivers.

The [anti-abortion] message
The [anti-abortion] message was taking it too far
I am glad you are thinking about it.
We each have a natural right to our own lives. We each have a natural right to defend our lives.
Killing an unborn human is murder. Pictures of murdered babies is free speech.
Years ago I was uncommitted either way on the issue. Now I understand that if I support freedom and liberty, then I must oppose the taking of human life (including the killing of unborn babies).
Now that's what I call hittin' the streets reporting!
Maybe the msm will learn something from us, like we just want the truth, no spin, no propoganda shoved into our brains anymore! I'm sure the cages will be filling up as the protesters get bolder...
Hope you give us a daily feed!
Well, I'm off to be an inspector at the polling site tomorrow, my little contribution for fairer elections...
I'm also on the ballot for the REC committee women, wish me luck!
Thanks for the perspective
Finally, some competent reporting. Thanks for posting.
If those protestors
would fight that hard for socialism, just imagine how hard they would fight for freedom, if they knew what it was.
will they take this opportunity
to create a false flag attack? i'm not sure.
see you in minnesota people!!

My God this DNC convention
would be a ripe ground for recruiting Ron Paul Revolutionaries!

PARAGRAPHS already... ouch ouch ouch
That was painful to behold. Just a couple taps on the ol' key now and then will relieve the pain. Have mercy on your fellow patriots.
Contentwise, it was good to hear about what happened. Thanks for reporting it.

Thanks for the News Coverage
It was a nice read though it would be great if we could get some pictures or video.
I wouldn't be asking if we didn't live in the age where everyone and their dog has a digi cam and a cell phone.

hmmm I did wish I had a video camera as many people did but I forgot my nice camera as well. It was honestly not really what I expected and will be taking my camera in the days to come. I did take some pictures with my cell phone which I may try to post in the coming days. Thanks for the support.
Good
post. Thanks for telling us. I am encouraged that there are protests.
When I went to the GOP site months ago thinking about whether I would be going, I was surprised that there were suppose to be (I don't remember the exact number) say 4000 delegates, but that there would be 15,000 media types. Then the very next thing they said was how much money this should bring into the economy there. It was all about the money on the GOP site. This seems to be a society that is totally in love with money. Morals are totally out the window along with it. Interesting that there was an article on prostitution increasing majorly during political conventions.
I am just very glad to hear that people are not after the "status quo" and they know that the buzzword "change" actually means "status quo."
One question, why didn't the people just get on the sidewalk?? Did you see brutality or arrests from the police? Any reports of the police getting out of line?
You know what it was a
You know what it was a little crazy. The police were a little pushy and I would say they crossed that line a little bit. The police were not brutal but what I would call it forceful. There were a few arrests but there was really not supplied enough attention to them. The people got on the sidewalk because these cops or riot police were very well armed. Honestly I think it was out of fear, because there were tons of them all armed with tear gas, tasers, and riot guns. I was always watching my back waiting for something bad to happen.

Very amusing. Most amusing
Very amusing. Most amusing is the notion that we have ever had a so-called "free society". The word "society" at it's core means 'an ordered community'. You cannot have order without giving up freedoms. True freedom is anarchy, and you won't find many serious human beings willing to live in utter anarchy all of the time.
"Freedom" is the ideal, but compromise and negotiation is the reality of life among anything more than 1 person. Nothing to get upset about, that's life.
This is a superfluous post
Chasing after absolutes is pointless in anything.
You get the most amount freedom when you live in a simple and moral society.
Right now we live in an overly-complicated society run by scammers, con-artists, and just plain assholes.
Right you
Right you are.
Unfortunately, I've been to other countries and you'll find the exact same "scammers, con-artists and assholes" everywhere. People are people everywhere, not just in the US and certainly not just in politics.
This was an interesting
This was an interesting post. It will definitely leave me something to think about. I am a young man at only 21 years of age but I just think there has to be a simpler lifestyle that has more freedom. I think my overall thought was America seems to offer freedom but is farther from it than other country's who don't claim freedom like we do. I have although come to realize that complete freedom is impossible.
complete freedom
complete freedom can only be known on the inside, apart from the chatter and details of out here
Amen
I agree.
thanks for the news
I agree, this is real news, and while sad I see the definite glimmer of hope there.
Enjoyed reading that...thank you
yes i am going to try to keep up with it

by the way, I congratulate you on eating at Chipotle. They are the only fast food place with a conscience.

I will be trying to make it
I will be trying to make it to most of the events. I do have a day job but will try to keep these posts up so watch out for them. There was so much going on today that content will not be a problem no matter when I decided to head down there.
interesting
I enjoyed reading that, the nightly news tonight with Brian Williams did briefly show video of "1,000" protestors in Denver protesting the war. It looks like there were more then 1,000 though.
Thank You! for your report from the front lines.
And yes, continue to give updates please. Who needs FAUX News?
more tomorrow?
I'd most definitely be interested in reading more reports from the DNC... wish I could be there!

Thanks for your support. I
Thanks for your support. I have a Ron Paul T-Shirt that I plan on wearing in the latter part of the week. The T shirt may be a daily event in itself.
Good job with reporting from the street
When you meet someone from New Hampshire this week, be sure to ask about the Free State Project. Ron Paul's message and the FSP's motto, "Liberty in Our Lifetime," are the perfect match!
