This is the video that
This is the video that summarizes the past year and a half of my life working for the Ron Paul movement.
It
means to me that there could actually happen a rebellion at the RNC, an escalation. A third ballot. I don't know the details 'cause I am anyway no US-citizen. I know it's barely possible, since it is not reliant on Ron Paul but on human beings as it were human beings that donated to this campaign this mean it to me.

Many of you have seen my videos in the past. My name is James S*gra I am the creator of the November 5th movement. It is my sincere honor to fight along side all of you. This video represented many things to me but mostly a culmination of all our success in the past year and a tribute to Kent Snyder. Thank you Mr. Nystrom for posting the video and to Liberty for discovering the video. To have a viral video for the Rally for the Republic one week before the event is truly heart warming. I saw our grassroots movement come together once again as many of you took the initiative to make it a personal goal to pass this video along. I got emotional reading many of your comments. To think that I may have left a little imprint on your heart is why I continue to fight for our country.

I would like to share a story with you all...
There was once a door it was said anyone who walked through it could change their future.
They hired a man to watch the door and after years of watching he saw many people change their lives. At times he quitely asked why can I not make change like the rest of them.
As he grew old and laid dying he got very angry and yelled why can I not make change to better the world.
God spoke to him as he lay taking his last breath and said I made the door for you.
You just had to walk through it...

For me the fight has just begun. The footage of the serviceman walking into his sons classroom, never fails to make me cry, and at times sob. I consider this boys sadness, but also the grief of all of the children whose parent(s) will never walk through their classroom door again.

A very good summary. The Rally for the Republic is the next stage in the campaign for liberty. As Dr. Paul has said, it is only the beginning.
When we the people
call him back in a constitutional manner, Dr. Paul will come. We don't have to say goodbye to our hope, our dreams, our presidential choice....we just have to follow the constitution.

All I know is that my eyes
All I know is that my eyes have been opened more than I ever dreamed possible. I was attracted to libertarian philosophy when I first heard of it, but most of it is rhetoric and infighting in the LP. Ron Paul did something amazing with his campaign. He became such a beacon because he proved incorruptible by the system. If you go back and watch Ronald Reagan's campaign speeches, you hear the cry for liberty, but he failed to produce anything of the sort in his presidency.
It is obvious that this country is not ready for liberty yet. But the time will come. I think if the economy had tanked one year earlier, we might very well be going into a real fight on the convention floor for liberty. I hope the seed that has been planted will continue to grow. I pray that more men and women in the mold of Dr. Paul will make it into Congress and the Senate, and that they too will have the strength of character to resist the corruption and people pleasing.
As it stands, I don't think it matters much who you vote for, as long as you don't vote for one of the top two. I will go ahead and write in Ron Paul, and it won't be counted, at least not officially. Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin are of course better choices than McCain or Obama, but they fall short of Ron Paul, and it's a protest vote anyway.
If that rare man or woman ever comes along again that is worthy of the support of you fine people, we will be stronger, more organized, more educated, some of us may even be established in a major party ready to make things happen. I have a lot of hope for the future and for what so many of you have done for the cause of liberty. We may disagree in the short term about strategy, endorsements, worthy causes, etc. But don't ever forget what we did on the 5th of November and the 16th of December. We can do it again.

In case you had not heard, RP has said he will accept the
nomination if we can deliver it to him. He said this personally to Alaska's own Evan Cutler, organizer of the DVDs 4 Delegates project, in June, after he had formally "suspended". Dr. Paul called Evan at home in June and said he would accept the nomination if by some miracle it were offered to him.
So as far as we are concerned, he is still in until John McWar takes the stage.

Come on,
The best way out of depression is to get moving and see some positive results. That takes character.
The reason people are depressed is because they have no defined goal and plan on which to focus. The Ron Paul presidential campaign provided that for awhile.
The cure for the current depression is to re-focus our goals and plans on more local, more realistic, achievable goals, little victories for Liberty that, in the aggregate, will make our movement strong and our future brighter.
Ron Paul himself, in his career as a Congressman, has provided an admirable model. We should have realized much sooner that one man, moved to the head of government, without an army of others coming up behind him, is not enough.
How to shake off depression and despair? Find some friends and start your own campaign at home.

We Have Work to Do
I am unmoved by the maudlin sentimentality. We have work to do.
Have you formed a local chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus?
Have you gotten your former meetup members into the local party, and into seats on your local Executive Comimittee as Precinct Chairs?
Are you preparing to run your people in local election campaigns at the next opportunity? Who for school board, who for City Council, Who for MUD or water district? What about County Commission? State Rep?
I feel like shaking each one of you guys and telling you to snap out of it. Get out of your misty-eyed funk and get to work.
You may not realize it, but Ron Paul is a Republican. His Campaign for Liberty is a Republican movement. Third parties are a lost cause. Democrats as a Party are beyond redemption. Energizing and growing the remnant in the Republican Party is our only hope. The Party movers and shakers are not impressed by our tears. They do respect numbers and effective organization.
See you in Minneapolis, but be advised that the really important events are being held on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The Rally is just dessert.
We can all work stronger and better,
rlcmcallen, if we take an occasional break for refreshed inspiration and, yes, even fun as Dr. Paul always advises.

Refreshment and inspiration, indeed! I fail to see that in this syrup bath of sentimentality.
What is more inspiring and refreshing than gathering with dozens or more of your compatriots, laying plans for victory of liberty's enemies, licking stamps, making phone calls, standing up in your local Republican assembly and proclaiming liberty to the cheers of your allies and the amazement of the conventional Republicans who thought they knew everything and have just been shaken by real thought.
The way to be depressed is to stay at home alone, searching the internet for hope but feeling alone.
I fear that the meetup groups, once the source for mutual action, fun, and inspiration, have lost their way and are dissipating for lack of purpose. The purpose is there for the adopting of it. Don't hole up with your computer, alone.

That one statement on Morning Joe said it all. Only Dr. Paul's campaign had true grassroots support. Dr. Paul says politicians keep asking him how he used the internet so successfully. He keeps telling them "It is the message, not the messenger". But only a true hero could shout such truths. He still has my vote (at least one).
