I read a lot of people's responses and many seem to say 9/11.
I wish I could have been a bit more aware or more conscious at my age when the Twin Towers were attacked. I was only about 15 when it happened.
What "woke me up" was Hurricane Katrina. I had always been raised with Demorcatic ideals, always taught that government is suppose to take care of us. I was deployed to Kuwait during the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina and afterwords i noticed how ineffective the government was. I already despised Bush so this further confirmed how our current system was not working.
The volunteers accomplished more than the government. I did a lot of research, Martial law in New Orleans, Government spending. My way of thinking completely changed. I thought I was the only one who thought this way. It wasn't until almost 2 years later that I found out about Ron Paul and was surprised how much I agreed with him. I'm now 22 and this Friday will mark the 3rd year of my "waking up". It's just kind of sad that hundreds, maybe even thousands of lives had to suffer in order to do so, I owe it to them to help make America a better place.

My bright, articulate son, a Temple University junior at the time, came home for Easter Break 2007. He was raised with our house being very liberal , very democrat, very vocal in our political views and active in our community. We have had, and continue to do so, many late into the night debates over social/economic issues. Imagine my astonishment when he said those 4 infamous words last April, "What about Ron Paul?" What about him, he's a Repuclican for goodness sakes, are you nuts. I'm to busy here trying to decide do I support the black guy or the women, a liberals' dream. He then proceeded to educate me on Ron Paul. He said you tube him, google him. So, I did just so I could say to him I did. I never expected to spend hour after hour listening and learning, weeping at times with the pain of having to acknowledge that all I thought I knew never was. Feeling a passion I didn't know exsisted, I work my way though the stages of greiving for what this Republic has lost. I seem to be stuck in the last 3. I alternate between anger, always angry, depression, that more people don't get it, cause once you do, you can't let it go. Last is Hope. I joined my local meetup, became a county coordinator, turned off my tv, worked the polls, donated way to much money, plastered our county with signs, passed out 20 copies of his book, went to rallies, the march and yes I have hope. I've been obsessed with this movement and message to the point of questioning my sanity. I've lost sleep over this, feel an urgency I can't explain. I even registered as a Republican. Was it worth it? Hell, yes. People that thought I was a nutcase a year ago, either seek me out to ask what Ron Paul thinks or totally avoid eyecontact as everything we predicted comes to pass but continue to support more of the same. Finally meeting other Ron Paul supporters, supporters of the message of real freedom and liberty is a gift. It's almost like we share some wonderful secret, there's just a certain serenity, a smile we reserve only for each other, like yeah, I get it too, your not alone. For that I am humbled and grateful to be a part of this. Peace..

Ron Paul got me on the path, but he didn't fully wake me up. Basically just got me looking in the right direction, asking questions and searching for the answers.

I had never heard of Ron Paul until maybe 10 or so months ago. I wasn't sure if he was credible, etc. Everything I read was validating what he said, but I still didn't fully wake up.

Judge Andrew Napolitano and David Walker are the people who virtually pushed me over the edge in terms of waking up. Or, maybe it was more like pushing me off a cliff. The things they said in their speeches/interviews were rather shocking, even moreso due to it being said by them (since they both have the highest level of credibility). When I met my wife I was working for the Federal Reserve Family of Money Masters.

Shortly after we met she made a comment that the IRS was a private corporation incorporated in Puerto Rico.... My internal response was "uh huh...here comes the deal breaker...she's a nut case". I tried to ignore it. I really liked her. And I rationalized that she was a former vice president with Bayer Corp., a Magna Cum Laude grad of Carnegie Mellon in economics...

Little by little she 'leaked' more tid bits. The Federal Reserve was also a private corporation. At that point I just started to ignore those kinds of comments and accepted that nobody is perfect and I loved her no matter what...

I didn't even know that the bank I worked for was an owner of the Fed.

The thing that finally collapsed the whole thing was when she decided to default on all of her credit cards. After 30 years of perfect credit. Dozens of credit card accounts and hundreds of thousands of dollars in available credit, she decided to draw the enemy out into the open and challenge the whole scheme. Scared the hell out of me. Because I knew the ruthless and relentless assault she had just unleashed on herself.

The first time a sherrif came to the door and delivered a summons she was rattled.

But after her first court appearance she was hooked on the cause. An old high school classmate was the judge. The banks attorney failed to appear and she got a judgement in her favor. She then put on a complaint against the attorney for abuse of the courts, a federal violation of the FDCPA (Fair Credit).

She started a legal club for folks who had fallen into the credit pit and couldn't get out.

She mounted state and federal cases against the banks.
Huge collection attorney's came begging for mercy, asking to settle these federal cases she brought.

I was still a supportive spectator. Then I saw a video about WTC 7. I was so stunned I stayed awake for 2 or 3 days. Just researching everything I could find. My whole sense of reality was shattered.

Then the in March, along came Ron Paul.

At this stage, I've gone through that crazy, all-over-the-place mentality and chosen to focus on the long term, development of infrastructure and respite, sanctuary development. Preperation for when the SHTF.

Putting all of my experiences together I believe it will become very volatile.

And after watching many unprepared revolutionaries get ground up launching half-hearted attempts to change things, I've done a lot of thinking.

I am trying to bring together all manner of possible support. I may not see the victory in my lifetime but if I build strongly, there will be a foundation for others who follow. And it's got to be more than words.

I have had 4 years and mine started to when I began to question 9/11 and the IRS

I bought the book Federal Mafia and when it arrived in the mail it sat around for a few months before I could actually read it, same with Health Secrets the Government doesn't want you to know. and Medical Atrosities the Government doesnt want you to know about.

But when I started reading my mind exploded. It is so heavy that I grew in spurts. I would read and read and read and then I would go cold for months.

About a year ago I really began to follow Ron Paul, reading his speaches on the floor and anything I could learn of him. He really has changed my life (and so many of you)!

I didn't start my dailypaul account for many months after learning of this site. I spied for about 4 months before I opened my account. And when I did there was such momentum that is why my name is letushope. I was so hoping he would secure the nomination. I was so niaeve (sp) but thats okay too.

I am wrestling with two things right now. First is the realization that I am spiritually not putting my faith where it needs to be. I am a Taurus and feel like I have to be in control. My future depends on my working for it and obtaining it. What is being revealed to me is that - that is not putting my faith in control and solutions is not what the whole point of faith is. I have some real reconciling to do.

Second is my career. After learning about the 1933 revision to the trading with the enemy during times of war act. I know it's not the right title, but after learning of all the changes that took effect in 1933, the social security number, the birth certificate etc and began to understand admiralty law vs. constitional law. I am understanding that every time you obtain any of these things plus any licenses, permits etc you consent to admiralty law. I am now a fire marshal and you can't build anything without my approving your building permit, you have to have a set of plans from an architect (licensed), with specialty systems mechanical, electrical, structural, fire engineered from a licensed engineer and finally approved by both the fire licensed official and the building licensed official. I am exhausted by the levels of ownership all under admiralty law. And I am a part of it.

While my political apathy has been cured, I sometimes long for my days of ignorance as knowledge has scorned my belief in my government. The days of me believing everything will be ok are now gone and my anger has risen to levels of pure angst against the dog and pony show of the Republicans and the Democrats. I am very thankful for this knowledge from the R3volution, but then I see the masses and the ignorance they display in their blind allegiance to the Main Stream Media and complete ignorance of the Federal Reserve, war, and our socialistic programs that are driving our country off a cliff. The ignorance shows through their allegiance to either McCain (more war, inflation, and monetizing of debt) or Obama (socialism/fascism, inflation, and monetizing of debt). My anger will be relieved once the other masses wake up and see the light, along with the revealing of the man behind the curtain of our government (The Federal Reserve). My hope is that the R3volution will be our guiding light to the path of the same knowledge that I have received and our freedoms and liberties are restored.

I was having one of those "recreational herb" sessions with my friend, when we started watching "Freedom To Facism". Well you can imagine what kind of conversation would ensue from that Video. (And an old congressman with the funniest quote on his desk)

A few months later, I'm watching bits and pieces of republican debates and I see this old speaking on TV and making sense. I hark back to one of the old men on the street in Freedom to Facism who was the only one to know the truth about the Federal Reserve among the people Aaron Russo was questioning (after that clip i yearned for the wisdom of those with many years).

A while later I realised this old congressman in Freedom to Facism, and this guy who made sense @ the Republican Debates was the same guy.

I am with you takeaction. I sometimes wish I could live in Neverneverland too. Although I grew up in a home where my dad was a member of the John Birch Society and I couldn't watch a TV show without him saying "hey do you see what they are trying to get you to believe", I was still sucked into a lot of the TV propaganda. One day my fate took a different turn and I was helping my son write a speech on the Constitution when I stubbled upon the rabbit hole. It started with 911 and led to my marching with other liberty lovers in Washington DC. Sometimes I wish I could just watch Dancing With the Stars or worry about what Brad Pitt is doing. Alas it is too late.

I come from a country that is only comparable to a county here in the US, only 300k people. I have the perspective of Ventura of being on the outside looking into the US for the first 22 years of my life.
My father taught me never to fully commit to an ideal to the point of blocking out all other options, because like he said, if we would always stick with the most widely believed idea or the first idea we had on a subject 99% of the time we'd be wrong and probably not know it until it was too late, to use common sense and facts to come to the correct conclution on my own. He also told me that I should never trust what politicians said, rather watch their actions and evaluate them prior to listening to their rants.

The first thing I can recall as making me suspicious of government is when back home there was a large debate around an aluminum factory releasing Fluoride into the land around it, a lot of which was lakes and other places full with wildlife, the pollution of the chemical killed majority of the animals there, but then when I inquired about fluoride in toothpaste I was told it wasn't the same thing.

Next thing that sparked questions in my mind was the conflict Israel/Palestine. Most the news I got was about one side hitting the other, but when I would watch US media I saw everything turned in Israel favor, as if they did no wrong.

Final thing that I experienced before going back asleep for a few years was a discussion with my then girlfriend(now wife) she had moved to my country and she was from the US, and I questioned her why children were programmed to be overly patriotic with daily recitals of the pledge of allegiance. I called it brainwashing and she fought me hard on that saying that you don’t have to do it if you don't want to, but she never really thought of the psychological aspect of it where no child wants to be different, and if you do something enough you will not question it and it becomes habitual then truth. (Only been done by Germany and Italy around WWII, and now the US, also depicted in Orwell's book 1984 as form of programming)

Between 2003 when this happened and 2006 I left all these subjects alone, I moved to the US and was too busy making a life here with my wife and didn't really pay much attention to the "outside world". Until a friend of mine from back home sent me a link to the clip of Keith Olbermann talking about the Military Commitions act and the death of Habeas Corpus, a week after that he sent me a link to Zeitgeist and I got hooked, after that I started looking at everything related to False flag terror (was aware of Reichstag and historical false flag prior to all this just never connected the dots), IRS, FED, Inflation, Ron Paul. And the further I dug the deeper the hole got with more subjects. Prohibition, arming of both sides of wars, Start of aL-Qaida by funding bin Laden against the USSR, selling Hussein WMDs against the Iranians, Overthrow of foreign governments by the CIA, NLP, manipulation of communities as showed in the "Century of the Self" documentary.

Now since I cannot vote or donate to anything, I spent my time during this election talking to my co-workers and family/friends with the most "socially acceptable" topics to change their mind about one or another candidate and lean them towards RP.

Being a foreigner living in the US, I used to be apathetic to the rhetoric that the US is the best, to actually thinking that the base of the country has a promise to be the best, but the culture of "dumb is cool" and "celebrity obsession" has ruined what was a good idea and I want to do everything in my power to restore this country to the potential it has.

He was going to be the next Democrat darling, only one problem, he's an outsider to the Washington mob.........Kennedys and the Federal Reserve don't mix at all........at least JFK stood for U.S. Money. No problem at all for the industrial military guys. No pilot error. He'd already contacted the destination airport with a visual...then whammie.

Let's give the internet much of the credit to search out un biased news sources, and freedom thinkers. Just think, if we were all still being fed the crap on the 6 O'Clock news, we'd still be in the dark.

I recommend that you hunt down and listen to the words of this song. That's what I do when I start feeling like it is all too much to bear. Know that there are others like you out there doing what we can to wake people up. As this song says, "Your life and the life of everyone you know, depends on it."
