This is not Kucinich's philosophy. His philosophy is that government (taxpayers) has a responsibilty to take care of people. It's completely upside down to what Ron Paul believes, that the people should be self reliant and take care of each other through voluntary means rather than be forced to by welfare state.

Don't blame me if there's no voice for liberty opposing McCain and Obama in the Presidential debates. I donated to Ron Paul Libertarian, Bob Barr's campaign.
"Provide work not welfare for those able to work." The only big difference is what to do about those who are unable to work, and where their support should come from, Ron Paul says charities, Kucinich believes government should be able to take care of it's people at times when they need it. Both seem to agree that due to the conditions we have now, pulling the plug on SS, medicare, etc., would hurt many people, neither of them want that, and you cannot just suddenly rely on "charity" to jump in and help some 85 yr. old on a small pension and reliant on SS and medicare if you just dumped the system suddenly, it's a nice dream, it just is not feasible, morality has declined, people are less concerned about their fellow citizens. It's not going to be an easy transition to self reliance.
The government should not be providing work or welfare. It should only be protecting liberty. Kucinich believing that goverment should take care of people and Paul believing it should be charities is a HUGE difference. It's the difference between socialism and libertarianism. Yes, I know that Paul is in favor of a gradual elimination. But Kucinich in not in favor of that elimination. He wants to EXPAND the welfare state. Paul wants to eliminate the minium wage. Kucinich want to increase it. And so on.

We have been saying "wake up." So now the CFR is using our words. We mean wake up to the elite shadow government. Wake up to the fact that our country is being swept into the dustpan of the New World Order. Wake up, we are losing our country and our freedoms are being removed so that our money and our way of life can "conform" to a United People around the world with only one power government. As usual, just like all the neocons, they use our words to make it sound like they agree with us. Wake up to them means, "Vote the Republicans out. Wake up and see what they are doing to us, to our country. Vote for us and you will prove that you are very aware and intelligent voters."
Their wake up is like a mom waking a baby so that she will sleep through the night later on. Our "wake up" really means, "Paradigm shift" used as a verb.
We should let them use the vague term "wake up" and we should come up with something more descriptive. Seek the truth, remove the veil, Learn the secrets, discover the truth, ulterior motives, underlying agenda.

DK is good friends with Dr. Paul and even came out and spoke at the March on Washington back in July. I trust Dr. Paul's judgement on DK. Based on some of the comments I have read I feel like many people here do not understand what Dr. Paul message of liberty is all about. Like I said before I don't agree with much of DK's ideology or philosophy because I am a conservative but that is the case with most Americans and thats the way the founders envisioned it. All ideas would be heard. We all have different beliefs on how to fix things and what is the best way to go about it. I personally as a professional scholar and teacher embrace contrasting opinions, it keeps me level. The problem I have is not when someone disagrees with me philosophically its when that person or group tries to circumvent the law and Constitution to meet their ends, which becomes illegal and immoral. DK stood there in front of thousands last night, and in front of more at home watching and mentioned several of the major problems we have with this country. Many of these same problems that have been debated on here. How many times have I read "wake up" on the dailypaul. In the end it doesn't matter if DK believe's his speech (although I believe he does), he laid many of the problems we need to fix right in front of all the Americans watching which furthers the cause of liberty. He did it without harming any other person and without violating any laws or the Constitution. He gave the message that so many people on here have been trying to spread, and yet because his ideology is different some would rather attack him. Very few people in his position are promoting the message of liberty or pointing out our problems in a public forum such as DK did. Do not be so blind by ideological differences that you miss the bigger picture.
I do not see this as attacking HIM. People are concerned because they know the arrow is missing the target. The word attack is overused, like the word hate. If someone puts thought to "this isn't quite right," it is called an attack.
I too trust Dr. Paul's judgement on the man. I agree with you that liberty means you are free to have your point of view as to how to correct a problem.
Yes, you do read "wake up" here. Now we need to change that phrase, because it has been claimed in another ideology. We need to now be more specific as I have mentioned in a post above. Actually you say he gave the message we want to spread, but he didn't. He didn't explain anything at all about the fact that our government is being operated by people we are not electing. That our elections are not dependable. That our government has gotten so huge under the two twin parties that the people can no longer tell IT what to do. IT now tells us. Just like the neocons, he successfully rallied the troops (people) to follow the same thing they have been following for years and years. He did nothing to make them see what is really, really going on.
I like Dennis, but he sounded like a cheer leader for everyone who is taking the podium there. He makes it sound as if a voter will be very intelligent and do the right thing for this country if they just vote for the candidate of the Democrat Party. I wanted to say, "Wake up, Dennis."
as an excuse to push taking away more of our individual/business economic liberties and promote and institute socialism in this country.
It's the same as those who use the war as an excuse to limit civil liberties, except for him it's economic liberties he wants to take away. He's just the other half of authoritarianism.

Great job of explaining this. We are supposed to welcome other's viewpoints in a free society. It does keep us balanced. We, who's minds have been opened, are attacking this guy? There is a reason that he is good friends with RP. Bring some non-predetermined thinking to the table folks!
Amazing how a man can be so right and so wrong in a single sentence. He clearly has a grasp on what the government is doing to us, but cannot see that the dems are just as guilty as the repubs, if not, more so. Wake up Dennis Kucinich!! You are half way there, take the next step!
for high oil prices. Speculators and high prices serve a purpose. When the prices goes up due to speculation, it lets us know to conserve so as to prevent a shortage when it is predicted supplies are not increasing fast enough for demand or the supplies my be at risk of disruption by war. If prices stay low, consumers don't recieve the proper signal and they exhaust supplies. Not understanding really basic market economic principles like this is a huge problem in this country, especially so among socialists like Kucinich who think central economic planning and regulation can improve on an unregulated market.

exactly. THAT is what many people are growing sick of. The blame game. How's this for an idea. GET THE F**K OUT OF THE WAY!!! By constant meddling in the economy we've gotten nothing but ever increasing problems from government. WAKE UP AMERICA! The democrats and republicans are ripping you off!!!
speculation has little to do with rising oil prices... its the dollar being devalued that causes the price of oil and everything else to go up. do you even listen to what Ron Paul says?
The market determines prices. Speculators are market participants. They're trading based on inflation predictions as well.

Attack, attack, attack
He's using outrage against the war and dismay with the economy
as an excuse to push taking away more of our individual/business economic liberties and promote and institute socialism in this country.
It's the same as those who use the war as an excuse to limit civil liberties, except for him it's economic liberties he wants to take away. He's just the other half of authoritarianism.

Don't blame me if there's no voice for liberty opposing McCain and Obama in the Presidential debates. I donated to Ron Paul Libertarian, Bob Barr's campaign.
Amen
Great job of explaining this. We are supposed to welcome other's viewpoints in a free society. It does keep us balanced. We, who's minds have been opened, are attacking this guy? There is a reason that he is good friends with RP. Bring some non-predetermined thinking to the table folks!
Amazing how a man can be so
Amazing how a man can be so right and so wrong in a single sentence. He clearly has a grasp on what the government is doing to us, but cannot see that the dems are just as guilty as the repubs, if not, more so. Wake up Dennis Kucinich!! You are half way there, take the next step!
reminds me of a song
Reel Big Fish... "Sell out! with me oh yea.. SELL OUT, with me tonight..."
I wish he would wake up and see the real causes of the problems he talks about.
It's asinine to blame "Wall Street speculators"
for high oil prices. Not understanding really basic market economic principles like this is a huge problem in this country, especially so among socialists like Kucinich who think central economic planning and regulation can improve on an unregulated market.

exactly. THAT is what many
exactly. THAT is what many people are growing sick of. The blame game. How's this for an idea. GET THE F**K OUT OF THE WAY!!! By constant meddling in the economy we've gotten nothing but ever increasing problems from government. WAKE UP AMERICA! The democrats and republicans are ripping you off!!!
speculation has little to do
speculation has little to do with rising oil prices... its the dollar being devalued that causes the price of oil and everything else to go up. do you even listen to what Ron Paul says?
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
It has a lot to do with rising prices.
The market determines prices. Speculators are market participants. They're trading based on inflation predictions as well.
