He mentions Ron Paul at 3:03 but listen to the whole short discussion for the context! Just shows why Ron Paul will continue to attract votes from disillusioned Democrats and Independents as well!

A lot of people in this movement are young or were politically unfocused before Bush II, and they don't realize that Pat was, in many ways, a forerunner of Ron Paul. His message was less pure and constitutionalist, but he was also a better public speaker than Ron, so he was effective at driving home whatever points he had to make.
Pat was once very politically viable, and could be counted along with Reagan and Goldwater as one of those who tried (and failed) to steer the GOP toward liberty, conservatism, and away from the New World Order.
Chuck Baldwin's tagline "when I am sworn into office, the New World Order comes crashing down" was originally spoken by Buchanan in the Nineties.
I used to be in the Buchanan Brigade (yes, we had a name, just like 'Ron Paul Revolution'). I also used to do cover artwork for his magazine, the American Conservative. My esteem for him is very high. In many ways he's a kindred spirit of Dr. Paul.
Pat's just a guest on cable TV now. Food for thought.
We need to get our act together, or our movement may end up like the Buchanan Brigade.

I like Pat. It wasn't too many years ago, when he was demonized horribly. ...and I actually fell for it, till I wised up... and here he is now sitting next to Rachel Maddow.
I sincerely doubt Rachel Maddow would sit next to him if he was the racist, gay-hating, monster that the attack-dogs said he was.
Anyway, Pat is incredibly smart. Him and Charles Barkley, are able to take a situation, and cut through all the crap and get to the important stuff...in a matter of seconds.

I wrote to americancause@gmail.com to encourage Buchanan to attend and / or speak at the Rally. I reminded them this was not an anti-GOP event so it is actually less controversial to endorse than the Reform Party. I also pointed the significance of the occasion.

I went to the convention in Long Beach that nominated Pat Buchanan for president in the year 2000 and it is true he does give great speeches.

continues to work for Edgar Miles Bronfman and Jeff Immelt, two of the worst NWO collaborators. Now I know. Don't be surprised if Pat is "relegated to the hinterlands," henceforth.
Buchanan works for MSNBC for the same reason that
Ron Paul works within the GOP.
Buchanan's books, columns, and his campaigns have made it abundantly clear that he knows what's up and he tells it like it is.
But on MSNBC he is paid to be a political analyst, which is why he's sitting on this panel analyzing DNC speeches. His decades of Washington experience make him well qualified to be a political analyst, as well as the pundit and candidate that we love.
Buchanan vs. the "scripted"
when Pat mentioned Ron Paul, there was the usual 'blank stare' reaction from the other commentators, like....this isn't on our talking points....these people are totally scripted....a Big Thanx! to Mr. Buchanan for his 'breath of fresh air'....
I believe the context of his remarks was when someone remarked that there hasn't been much anti-Bush, anti-Republican rhetoric at the DNC, and maybe there should be more of this....Pat says [paraphrased] come down to the Ron Paul convention, there will be plenty of this...

I didn't find anything on buchanan.org to indicate that
PJB might be present at the convention, but I did write to lindamuller@buchanan.org in order to inquire about the possibility.....as well as encourage the pursuit of such an appearance.

Pat Buchanan is an expert communicator
He knows what to say, and how to say it. If he uses a certain word, it is because he intends to use that word.
I have every confidence that Pat will be at the R4R. He may be a speaker, which would be awesome. Or he may be doing commentary for the media, which would be very cool also. Or maybe he will just be in the seats with us, taking it all in. [I am sure, if that were the case, he would be in the VIP section, of course.]

Somehow I think
the MSM will not ignore the Rally for the Republic, that will be on CSPAN.
With McBama currently polling the same, the influence and role of the Ron Paul movement in and outside the GOP will be important and crucial. Just think of Dr. Paul's percentages in PA, MN, AK etc. etc. in the primaries. And it will also be a very interesting event, over three days. Hopefully much more people sign on during the next few days so that there are at least 10 000 plus people.
The Media are Idiots
They sit there criticizing the politicians for talking about the wrong things to get elected, when they should be criticizing them for doing the wrong things for the country.
Instead of pointing out the real issues, they are mere sports commentators talking about "the game" strategy of the "players."
This is why I skip all news during election seasons. (Except for the pre-screened bits here on DailyPaul.)
