Wow. Less than 10,000 going to R4R??? Sad.
Ron Paul stated we expected to sell out that arena.
200,000 germans showed up in Berlin to see B. Hussein Obomba & 15,000 of us can't show up for Ron Paul here in America?? Embarrassing.
I hope on the day the Rally starts the remaining tickets are sold at the door.
See ya there!
P.S. If you can't make it, did you buy the Commemorative Ticket??

I am so tired of the
I am so tired of the negative view on this. I see this as positive that 8000 plus are going. People are hurting out there and tapped out. You don't think 100,000 would go if they could afford it?
Stop comparing a couple hundred thousand thinking people to 250 million sheeple who believe the old media.
I would love to go but I can't afford it financially or taking the time off work. I am broke because I poured every extra dollar I had into this campaign. I am stuck with 3 mortgages because I am invested in the real estate market then the bottom dropped out and I am wondering if I am going to loose it all now.
I am active in my local party, was a delegate to my state convention, ran for PCP. Stop acting like not being able to make this rally means people have stopped supporting the cause.
While this rally is important for the troops it is not the be all end all. It will be largely ignored by old media or spun as usual and not be any big turning point in recruiting people to the cause. It will mostly be for rallying the current troops which is important but again not the be all end all. Eight thousand plus is a huge turn out among as small a group as we are. And I bet many will buy tickets at the door.

Ticket Master Is Sharing
Oh yeah..they sharing the list of names..addresses..phone #s..credit card info..everything..straight to the Fed...
I wonder if they 1st cousins to AT&T???
Freedom is another way to God...A corrupt government is a straight way to hell.
The counter
food freedom, one seed at a time.
The counter is not in real time. This should be updating but it just crawls.
O.K., O.K.
"FEE BEER AND FREE FOOD", maybe that will help
I'm able to attend
Because I got laid off and I'm joining a Ronvoy that will let me "pay" my share with a credit card at the pump - I'll be eating a lot of gas station food. Otherwise, I could not attend.
I imagine lots of our young people are off to college - I know I'm seeing my son off today and he wishes he could go to the rally with me but he can't - he'll be starting a Ron Paul group in his university though so the C4L is well and alive.
people are
avoiding ticketmaster. They are getting them at the door.
I was thinking the same thing ;)...we may see a last minute rush
If your not too far go get'em now! It'd be fun to scope everything out
including that big billboard 8)
When reality hits at the RNC
Tickets for th R4R will be going like hotcakes.
Besides I'm sure there are a few folks going to the RNC who aren't complete f'tards. They'll at least wander over to see what all the hubbub is about.
Or to see Sara Evans...
I would definitely be
I would definitely be attending if it was within driving distance of my home. By that, I mean being able to drive there, attend and then drive home the same day. I would do that every day of the rally if I was closer...
But, I am too far. And for me it would be too costly. I cannot afford the expense.
I've wondered if it's good
I've wondered if it's good to buy tickets to help sell out the event even if you can't attend. In effect make it a donation.
That is a good idea...you could then give that ticket away
to someone who can go.
BAD IDEA. If you can't find
BAD IDEA. If you can't find someone to go then there are empty seats. I know people who purchased 7 tickets and get rid of them. But a commemorative ticket.
That is a good idea...you could then give that ticket away
to someone who can go.
I am never disappointed when I'm around freedom loving people!!!

People are tired and want results...
Not some Rally they have to travel across the country for.
I wouldn't even be mildly interested in politics if it wasn't for the gov. going completely nuts.
People want action, not entertainment.
Are YOU going? Want these to pass out?
UPDATE: The free cards have been claimed.
-----
Okay, so who's going, that wants FREE War/Peace cards to distribute in MN?
I've been making this offer for about 45 minutes now, and (frankly) I'm astonished there have, thus far, been no takers.
250 FREE business-sized cards
Full-color War/Peace image image on front.
B&W "CampaignForLiberty.com" on back (maybe mission statement, too)
Sent directly to your hotel for you to pick up on August 31st. Spread the message of liberty with these little cards that make a BIG impression.
Drop 'em on restaurant/bar tables; tuck 'em into car windows; pass 'em off as you hand someone a tip; leave 'em in taxi cabs for the next rider to discover -- the possibilities are endless.
I can't distribute them from here in California, but I can have them printed and shipped to YOU to pass out in MN!!
Did I mention they're FREE? Yes!! I'm footing the bill, minor as it is!
Go here for details.
(Sheesh...I thought for sure these'd been snapped up in minutes!)
Allthough
I will be attending most of us are broke.
I`ll be there, a hurricane in the Gulf can`t keep me away!
HYDROMAN
Hope my boat is still floating when I return.
Even 30,000 would be a spit in the ocean
No negativity intended.
In fact I'm positive and grateful for 10 or 15,000.
Why?
It will provide good videos that we can use to recruit new members.
Personally, I believe we will have a very tough, even violent fight on our hands for this country. So I'd rather not be ID'd. now.
I'd rather work behind the scenes building infrastructure as a foundation from which to fight the long hard battle.
I'd love to be at a rally. Hang out with the patriots. It's always electrifying.
But that's the job of those who are going.
There are numerous jobs to this revolution.
The rally is another good piece of evidence to share with those who are still hypnotized or indifferent.
We need to concentrate on building up an overwhelming force.

again... tyrannical government with a retarded population
Alex Jones said it perfectly. Trust me there are very few of us. Retrds still have somewhere to live and something to eat, everything is just fine!
Love it!

Thanks for the laugh.

Regarding the Germans
I have family in Germany and was told that the people were attending a concert when Obomba took the stage. Many in the crowd were left wondering, who was that guy and why is he speaking english to us??
More smoke and mirrors.
.
- VERY MUCH media coverage about this speech (for days/ weeks main topic)
- VERY MUCH!
- public discussions (mainstream media, top politicians) about the location. Even the Obama Campaign was shocked about what they initiated.
A lot of us are working stiffs with families across the nation
who can't afford to take the time off or pay for transit & lodging.
We may not be there in body but in spirit - ohhh yeaahhh!
ten thousand for a first time - non official event is huge!
Should Be Several Hundreds
of walk ups from Minneapolis locals and surrounding areas ....
HOPEFULLY THE RETURNING STUDENTS TOO
(we need you guys there!!!)
10K
Considering the circumstances, am I the only person that thinks that 10,000 people paying to attend such an event is pretty darn remarkable? Correct me if I am wrong, but does anyone think a failed presidential nominee from either major party could come anywhere close to attracting similar numbers and enthusiasm? I think its inspiring.
I wish I could be there.
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help'." -- Ronald Reagan
I agree with you. Most
I agree with you. Most people can't take off of work those days and/or can't afford it. Plus, I'm sure some people have children to take care off, etc...
I don't think that the supposed "top tier" candidates such as Giuliani, Romney, or Huckabee could attract 10,000 people.
I'm very impressed. Nonetheless, I would still love to have the stadium completely packed!
C'mon people, try your best to come. This rally will one day be mentioned in America's history books!

The pursuit of liberty is addictive... Let's make it contagious.
It is remarkable and it aint even Sep 2nd.
I really get sick of these whiny defeatest BS posts and post titles.
PS: The arena will be set up for 13K people so it is very close to being sold out.

Yeah, let's see
John Edwards or Duncan Hunter or Fred Thompson try to even get 10,000 people to care about their candidacies, let alone show up from all over the country!
Scourgeof7seas
I'm with you and have thought this for a long time. It is amazing to me. Wish you could be there.
The didn't show up for Obomba
Apparently it was some big event that they were showing up for and Obomba managed to speak there. So, no way did 250K Germans go out to see him.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6
The Germans
came for a free concert, beer, and brats. They had 2 major bands playing (comparable to Willie Nelson and Madonna here in the states). Obama just had a chance to speak "in between" shows. They were probably applauding for the band coming on and Obama getting off the stage.
Gee, the news media didn't mention the bands.
actually, they only are
actually, they only are planning for 10,000... they can expand it to 15,000 if they need the room, but that's not what they were originally planning for.
In addition to ticket sales
there are VIP seats, C4L leadership seats (535 of those persons), and media. We will easily have more than 11,000 people in the house. As it stands now, the ticker says 9,721. That's 279 away from 10,000.
Many of us are spending A LOT of money on this. It will cost me almost $1,200 that I had no budgeted, to participate in this rally, the training school, and the associated meetings. But I am willing to eat ramen for a year if that is what I have to do to be able to afford to go. I would not miss this for the world.
HHmmm
Well when Dr. Paul explains how his campaign literally blew millions of dollars,( and by the way I didn't see a single ad) lots of donors might start to consider trusting him again with our money. Until then, we will support our next logical choice, which is one of the many third party candidates. For me it is once again a Libertarian.
There was plenty of advertising in New Hampshire.
I'm not much of a TV watcher so I can't speak to that, but I heard Ron Paul radio ads on a par with Mitt Romney's or anyone else's and I received more direct mail pieces from Ron Paul than from anyone else. (The next closest was Edwards.)
Correction
200,000 people turned out for a free concert featuring popular German acts, reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn, and free beer. Obomba was there, too, but you can bet without the free concerts and beer, there would not have been 200,000 people.
BEER
Maybe the C4L should hand out free beer for attendees??? Its not like Taverns and Beer didn't play a considerable role in the original American Revolution. If Beer will help draw attendees??? why not?

To this day, I still see
To this day, I still see more Ron Paul signs in my area than McCain. The message certainly got out.
I saw tons and heard tons of ads in my home state
It was almost embarrassing how often the ads were played. Of course that is a good thing.
We also had a leading GOP professional campaign manager leading the Alaska effort, and I know that was not cheap. Not that I believe he was very effective. But the grassroots clamored for professionals to be hired, so RP hired some pros. And they do not work cheaply.
ALASKARON!!
Let me help you out a little bit on your trip.
Remarkably enough, no one has yet responded to my Special Offer. I would simply love for you to have these to distribute in MN.
Go look right now, and let me know ASAP if you want these!

We had ads, campaign lit, signs, stickers, etc
We had ads, campaign lit, signs, stickers, etc - Missouri
But I think the majority of the money was spent in Iowa and New Hampshire
I would think they would hold many for local door sales.
They are advertising the Rally in Minn.
