Likely motion for voice vote for McCain by acclamation!

pull a fast one on us. Every Paul delegate should be booing as loud as humanly possible, and a delegate closest to the stage should throw a chair up at the podium. (Not to hit or hurt anyone, but to get the television cameras attention!) Keep up the booing, have someone move to nominate Paul by acclimation, have someone ready to second it, then erupt into YAY's! :-)

Here I think is a simple, yet very effective plan if it does come down to a vote by acclamation...

That would not be an acclamation. The old media will not be able to say the convention is united. A real vote MUST happen. Procedures MUST be known to prevent this. It's time to do our Constitutional homework.

There will probably be Aye's, but they would betray how unenthusiastic McCain voters are. People vote for McCain as a compromise, not necessarily FOR him.

My husband,who will be there as a Delegate says, the key words from the Chair are "without objection" which needs a loud response of "NAY" and "DIVISION OF THE HOUSE", or just plain "division".

It is important to keep in mind that we are all planning for the worse. Don't be discouraged because you may think that McCain's nomination is set it stone, which it certainly isn't. Remember how everyone was trying to guess who his v.p. would be, and it turned out it was someone from way out in left field. We can and worry or we can do something about. Knowing what we accomplished in the past year I'm convinced we will do the latter. The sky is not falling, we are just as smart and dedicated (if not more) as our opponents and we will prevail. Just keep on keepin' on and we'll be fine.

Then everyone there needs to start yelling "roll call" at the top of their lungs.

I have just started getting involved with the local GOP in trying to take the party back. If they do this role call vote and hustle McWar into the nomination without even a fair hearing from the people, I am afraid that will push me into the column of those who believe the corruption is so severe that there is no longer even a chance of reforming the party. If that happens, Constitution Party, here I come!

Are they aware that the DVDs4Delegates project has mailed the DVD#1 and #2 to all the delegates including themselves? Are they encouraging the delegates to watch the DVDs?

We never did get the names and addresses of the delegates from Puerto Rico. If you give your DVD to a Puerto Rican delegate I am sure the DVD project will be glad to arrange to send you another one.

I'm afraid that may well be the case. But if he selects a pro-choice/abortion candidate, there may be a lot of upset, not only from Ron Paul supporters.
Other than the Democrats though, Ron Paul has not even be invited to speak and this will come and bit them. Our support is at least 15% of the GOP and the GOP can impossibly win without it. McCain thinks he can offset this loss with say 10-25% of the Hillary CLinton supporters, but I am afraid this is not going to help him.

I dont know if this post was meant to discourage but its turning into a great post.Remember the gop has to walk a tight rope here as they did with nevada in having compromisiing delegates.They can take everything away from us but our pure displeasure and disgust at the actions they take.We should dress each of our delegates like they are going to maudi gras with Ron Paul stickers and signs when they call for this action out comes the cowbells and whistles and become loud and unruly.Frankly I dont think it would be a bad idea if some of our delegates were forcefully removed.When john mccain mentions something about endless wars ,,socialist agendas out comes the cowbells and whistles if we can do this then we have won in more ways then you can ever realize.Also have all the our delegates sit together.And have one big RON Paul display of signs and paraphenilia. I was only able to make it to my state convention, but I got to see enough to know how brutally fast and well orchestrated the process can go down. There may be drama in the twin cities, but it won't be at the RNC.

But, more importantly, now's is not the time to pack up our marbles and go home. I'm proud of all the Ron Paul delegates making the sacrifices necessary to be there. They have the job of contributing to the private conversations and make a name for themselves and leveraging that in the future. Let us hope that they stay true to their principles as Ron Paul has done for 30+ years.

It disgusts me that $34 million of our tax money is being wasted on the Elephant and Donkey dog-and-pony shows to promote tyranny, the contempt for democracy practiced so expertly at these events as the ringleaders use every tool at their disposal to snuff out dissent.

Control yourself! We all know that this scenario exists as a distinct possibility. God forbid, none of us here want to put this thought into the great energy field to solidify into reality. Our delegates would roar in outrage! I would have given my life to become a delegate, I tried. But, by all that's precious, please meditate on Victory! Visualize a wonderful upset.
