Can you imagine if Ron Paul were the nominee, how he would be crucified for his promise to bring home American troops and stop projecting imperial power all over the world.

The details with Obama differ, and you can doubt his sincerity, but as the poster in another thread says, McCain War, Paul Peace, and Americans love war. I don't think Obama has proposed going as far as Ron Paul.

I have a hard time understanding your objection as Ron Paul supporters.

could someone describe the video they saw. I think they may have changed it. All I hear is a promise, a political promise, to slow down the military industrial complex. I don't believe hi, for a second. But it seems like there might have been one earlier about gun control, was there? Did they really get it pulled?

I'm not saying he didn't say it; I have some hearing loss, just that I didn't hear him say it. However, was it not part of that darn S2433 (?)(the so-called Anti-Poverty Act) ....which he sponsored...that we would be forced to obey UN resolutions, one of which called for disarmament??

You bet he plans to---gun control, along with lots of other forms of People Control that the Republicans have ignored while playing with their little tanks and military toys.

The only bright spot to McCain being pounded in a landslide would be a flushout of the GOP scum who have betrayed the Constitution these past eight years. And even so, their replacements will probably be even worse.
