Of interest, I found George treats Mike with even less respect than Paul, snickering at him more than once he will not win. I guess George figures this is balanced journalism. If there is any truth here, Gravel is by far the most principled candidate in the Democrat side.

My personal take on this: this interview will ultimately help Ron Paul be the next President.

Oh George, now you've done it!

I'm going to redouble my efforts just for you. Come November, you will be eating crow. I guarantee.

What arrogance.

"That's not gonna happen..." - Stephanopolous

.
There was an eerie sense of smugness when George Stephanopolous uttered those words, in response to Dr. Paul's saying his goal was, "to win."

George Stephanopolous may have some nasty inside information that he's not willing to share with us civilians, but I have no doubt he's well-connected to some powerful elite, and he knows things we do not know.

To the Washington establishment, the global elite, the Bilderburger members, the CFR, and those packing financial heat, Ron Paul is a threat. He is a threat because, if elected, the globalists' plans for a one world government, a North American Union, everyone being "chipped", etc., would come to an end. The globalists will simply not allow it, and will result to any means to achieve their goals. They have the money, power and the guns. Worse, they have the power and ability to falsify election returns. (see http://www.constitution.o...).

But they do not have the people; and that is one asset that Ron Paul has, and which is growing significantly. I think we will all see, in the coming months, Dr. Paul's numbers increasing, as ordinary citizens wake up to his message of freedom. This will present an even greater problem for the NWO/CFR gang, and there is likely to be some kind of showdown.

That is why it is so important to pray for Dr. Paul's safety, and to get more people on board to support his campaign. The state of our Republic is more precarious than ever, and it was George Stephanopolous's glib, matter-of-fact statement, "That's not gonna happen," that gave me chills. We must prove him wrong.

right on the money

zenpiper,
I could not agree more with your comments. I believe a "showdown" is coming. However, I don't think the elite want to make a martyr out of RP... at least yet. What is more likely to happen is another terrorist strike (or series of them) in which they will argue for more draconian measures which will include (but not limited to) control of the internet, marshal law, and possibly even the extension of the Bush presidency. Don't forget the formation of the North American Union.

Yes, pray for Dr. Paul, and pray for the vigilance of the patriots in this country!

Way to stand your ground Ron Paul

We knew that ending was coming, I thought Paul handled it great. Ron needs to have a "SmackDown" ready in his pocket though. This will happen again.

Biased, lowball, inexcusable...

...is how I've heard George Steph's final comment described. And I couldn't agree more. You call this a HOST? Give me a break!

Anyway, I'm the kind of person who, when told I can't do something, makes me all the more determined. I bet there are a lot of us like that out there.

Let's not get mad - let's just get even, by showing that RP can win. Remember, getting excluded from Iowa was one of the best things that have happened so far.

Keep on fighting!

wow

you could see how angry ron was after that comment, as well he should be.

disrespectful.

No surprise

Snuffleupagus was one of Slick Willie's big government lap dogs.

Zingers

He needs to have some ammo...like "Why don`t we let the people decide who can win"...or "That is why we have elections"....personally I woulda choked theSOB.

Wolves in Sheeps Clothing

I was bracing for a nasty one and within the first few seconds I was convinced that "hey, this is a great interview!". These guys are getting more and more cunning with their ambushes and Stephanopolous takes the cake with his sheepy lead up to that ambush on Dr Paul. I can't wait to see him signing over his every last possession....

Don't they (MSM) understand that every time they assert the impossibility of Dr Pauls victory they only empower the people with more determination?...

As always he handled it as only an impeccable statesman would. I love you even more Dr Paul and you certainly seem a lot more confident in your interviews. A final exhortation :

"Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing, outwardly they appear gentle but inwardly they are like ravenous wolves!"

Go Ron Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good exposure, but...

I'm getting awfully tired of mainstream media talking heads telling their audience that he has no chance. If Dr. Paul's momentum continues, smug Stephanopoulos will have to eat his words.

Other than that, very nice interview. I like how he focused on Dr. Paul's consistency and integrity. I think exposure like this will only help the good doctor.

den of vipers

I thought it was an honest interview until the final "you can`t win" baloney...these SNAKES need to get a wakeup call

Time to lay Wagers

Geo. St. is full of baloney. I'm sure that he hasn't laid any wagers with anyone or at the online political betting sites that RP will not win.

He should put his money where his mouth is and say that he has done so or shut up when he's in front of a microphone.

Good interview until the

Good interview until the remark "you can't win", but expect that from the MSM, remember George Stephanopoulos is a member of the CFR and the Bildeburg Group. But hey, 15 min exposure on ABC, thats a good thing, lots of people saw Dr. Paul today. Our job is to get Dr. Paul and our message of Freedom spread across this Republic with our "Feet on the Streets" and contributions to the campaign.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.
Thomas Jefferson

Stephanopolous took the bet, good!

Stephanopolous -- on his own show on national TV -- took the bet... he bet all the money in his pocket that Dr Paul will not win. How much money is that? Maybe $400 cash and $8,000 in credit card limits, $8,400 in total. Let's take him up on it: he puts that amount and we put that amount into an escrow acount. Winner takes all in November 2008.

the bet

While this might sound like a good idea, due to various laws supported by politicians like the ones George used to work-for, discussing it on the internet might be illegal internet gambling activity these days. Sigh...This campaign is SO important to the future of America, but I'm scared if we're this much of a success the evil ones will find a way to kill Ron. :(

Ron Paul's security

"but I'm scared if we're this much of a success the evil ones will find a way to kill Ron"

I hope Dr Paul's team, while not being paranoid, is being normally prudent about security. Security is sometimes most effective when it is least obvious.
(Obama's Secret Service coverage looks a little silly and pretentious.)
