...means nothing. He's a loyal Republican apparatchik without a scintilla of integrity or ideology.
Kristol pushed Palin because she's young, pretty, an executive, and has no penis. It was a nakedly cynical ploy for both strident Hillarites and libertarian Republicans. Billy probably would have been just as happy with Linda Lingle, but McCain is smarter than Kristol and knew that a twofer was more valuable than a token vagina.
