BREAKING: GOP Suspends Convention Activities

Now, the Rally is the only game in town for all those convention-goers who are locked into their hotel rooms etc. Sounds to me like the Rally ought to open the doors even more.

Heck, maybe they can even convert some delegates...

no convention not only gives the excuse for old manipulated media not to report anything on the other activities, it gives the rnc 2 things:

1. being free not to be put on the spot and be seen how they will deal with the protesters, the other convention, and what have you. it is a tightrope walk where any response from them is potentially catastrophic;

2. having a reason by the old manipulated media to make them look "patriotic" or "caring" about the potential hurricane victims. this story will be spun like crazy, like a soap opera drama unfolding, so that any other story can conveniently be buried--this story aims to be the "loudest in the room" to make these people look good in the eyes of ordinary americans.

this is a setup guys, plain and simple. the hurricane might not be,[haarp is a possibility]; but what ever did happen, this situation will be used as another "show" for the public.

remember that the issue of the protestors, the war, the economy, were all "eclipsed" in the democratic convention by the "emotional" declaration and appeal by hillary to support obama--an "unprecedented" call for unity---this is the shit being sold outside america, this is the script being peddled. the mccain "being a hero" effort to prioritize hurrican potential disaster victims is soap opera for the american public and the world

The people already in town for the RNC will avail themselves of the Rally festivities. Not likely for the media, but hopefully the others will.

Just got back from the liberty walk (parade) and we had 50-75 Paulistas with us chanting - we got hoots and hollers and even McCain people were smiling and waving back - not the image I had of neocons at all...I think deep in their heart they know they are wrong.

I saw more Obama supporters and even a few Nader supporters - but McCain were few and far between and didn't seems like much of a supporter though.

How right he is. Otherwise, people might hear from those hundreds and hundreds of RP Delegates.

This is the NV GOP Smack-down on a national scale. Perhaps NV was the practice run for precisely this.

I again would like to remind the ladies and gentlemen of the jury that over the past couple of months, Republican Senators and Representatives have been repeatedly urged by GOP leadership "not to bother with the Republican National Convention;" that they would be better off staying home, and, uh, campaigning or something.

Now, why would the GOP leadership tell their own to stay home from the biggest party event of the year?

McCain MSM and the GOP do not want all of America to see the anti-McCain support there that would burst out spontaneously to the detriment of "party unity". It would make the neocon/GOP appear to be hated by their own party members...can't have that, nothing to see here folks move along.
