I WAS THERE!! Were you?
Hey everybody!
I was happy to see so many people clap when our Daily Paul was mentioned! I'm only sorry that I was not able to come talk with anyone.
So, after ariving at around 10AM, I went to wait in what turned out to be the VIP line. They were handing out wristbands to the first so many people who came with a ticket that got you floor access. I felt so over dressed in my formal attire! And it was pretty hot, too. So after grabbing my wristband I went back to my car to drop off all the crap I didn't need, which included my coat, laptop, and umbrella, and headed back in. I was able to skip through the line to get into the main area, but I had several encounters with ushers where they wanted to see my ticket too(the receipt of wich I left in my car). I used the simple argument: I have a wristband, therefore I have presented a valid ticket.
It was a pain to stand all that time, but I had some of the best "seats" in the house. I started about 10-15 feet away from the STAGE to the point where I was literally leaning on it! You may have seen me down there... I was the only one wearing a white dress shirt and tie. I often had my hands up on the stage. I got to highfive Aimee Allen and shake Dr. Paul's hand! I was on stage left, and I got covered with conffetti! I saw myself show up on the big screens a few times. LOL I almost got clocked in the head by the boom camera!

I was there....
Just got back to my hotel to clear email and check DP.
It was a long day, but I'm so glad I made trip! The Real Politics training on Sunday was actually the most useful thing I did while here, but the rest was fun. This is the first time I've ever been around this many of "us" at one time......very nice.
Good times
...good times. Chatting briefly with Lew at the corner was a pleasure.

He was on his way to the Rally last time I read a post by him.
Dr. Paul cured my apathy
you know
some people at that rally looked like they were sooo bored, why? If i was there I would be yelling and screaming, drinking a few whiskys and jumping up and down!
People were tired...

There was a lot of speeches that involved lots of clapping and chanting. Those of us standing next to the stage were all very active in clapping and chanting, and I think many of the chants were started in my little area. We had some big Ventura fans that were standing next to me calling out "Run, Jessie! RUN!".
I'm a rollercoaster enthusiast so I'm used to standing around for very long periods of time... but this was pushing my limits. Plus I had to get up even earlier so I could drop off my dad at work.
I think everyone got pumped up a bit more after Aimee Allen performed (I taped the whole thing). And then she actually came out and sang the song AGAIN! That was awesome.
I heard that song performed live by Aimee four times this week
and I could stand to listen to it live a hundred more times.
There is nothing quite as cool as hearing 10,000 fans of Ron chanting the line in the song where Aimee says "RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!!!!"
Wow. I love that song, and Aimee is such a nice lady. She is so energetic. I just wish she would have stood still a little more so I could get some better pics. :)

I noticed you right at the end when Dr. Paul was crouching down to shake some hands. Bet you're exhausted but still hyped! Sure wish I could have been there. Had it on here all day and enjoyed every min.

So I actually made it onto TV? Where were you watching it?
watching online as I don't
watching online as I don't have cable for tv. Flipped back and forth 3 different sites as tech problems occasionally a problem for some of them. Overall quality was good. Probably best at the embedded one on CFL site.
Yes, you leaned further into the stage stretching arms out as Dr. Paul walked back the other way. I wondered for a min. if you were going to pull up there! lol

I could have if I wanted too... after all, I AM a 2nd degree black belt and an officially accredited instructor. But I didn't want to make too big of a scene. He looked alive and well, and there is no doubt in my mind that he will be good to go in 2012... that is, for his second term at least 8)
I was at his speech at Northrup, and I was at the MN state convention as an alternate. I was front-row center for his speech outside the convention, and that was when I got my first chance to shake hands with him and tell him how much I respect him and thank him for everything he has done... and ask him to sign my 3rd copy of the Revolution.
kat? Is that you?
