"Morning After" Edit: To be clear -- this particular forum is merely a place to let off steam; to express that which is honest and true, and to allow the natural process of emotional expulsion to take place. When one has food poisoning, it is a natural and healthy response of the body to forcibly evict that which poisons it; likewise, this is a place to eject that which keeps us from moving forward. It is a cleansing. Get the venom out, so that the healing may begin and focus may be quickly returned to our real efforts. This is not a place to linger and dwell, but a place to purge limiting emotions, thus allowing us to move on to the formidable business that awaits us.
That being said, please remember Michael's house guidelines. Unlike the GOP, we wish to play by the rules. And remember: you can have fun with (yes, even) this.

That was classic.
I did my version below somewhere but this has been on my mind
since I watched that mockery they called a convention. All those gung ho McCain supporters, as steadfast and diehard for McCain as we are for Ron Paul, every one of them with that sickening glazed look of euphoria in their eyes as they waved their signs in media brainwashed support of McCain and this nonsense war. I can't help but wonder how they will all feel when plane loads containing the war-torn, dead corpses, of their very own children in boxes, start coming home to them, all for the sake of their great leader's 100 years of war. I hate to see good people die because they were as naive as their parents, but as sickening as it sounds, if that's the sacrifice it takes to awaken them from the blindness, and football pool mentality of simply being on the winning team, that they suffer from, then so be it. I have no pity here for them or their grieving family.
What this also proves
is that good, honest, well intentioned people can be lulled into the trap too. There are great, persuasive, prominent, well respected
people who support McCain - blindly as it is.
So I can see the lull happening...however, no excuse will do for me.
We are all human, after all.
We must continue to wake people up, one by one. And as things continue to deteriorate, it will become easier, if not too late.

Those LEMMINGS we saw fawning over the frauds ARE the very people in many cases, that we will have to recruit and train in the future.
They are the 'pro-active' politically oriented Americans.

This reminds me of how I felt after Super Tuesday
I was in a complete stupor after Super Tuesday, continually asking myself "how screwed up are we in this country?" "How can this be?" "how stupid and asleep can people be?"
It took me a few days to recover from Super Tuesday. I am stronger now, though, but the wind definitely was knocked out of my sails due to our delegates' votes not even being counted.
Of course I've been at this for a while. In 1994, at the tender first-voting age of 18, I saw vote fraud happen first hand; so nothing in the last 14 years has ever surprised me, sad to say. Angered and infuriated me, yes. Surprised, no.

Takeaction, you should have heard me during the roll call vote. Er...on second thought, no; you probably shouldn't have. Let's just say I was, well, expressing my feelings, too.
Hence my creation of this thread. My own vocabulary had suddenly narrowed to a small spectrum of choice exclamations, and I needed to find a more civilized and creative outlet to express my discontent; else drown in the gutter. After hurling a few of the Shakespearian insults out, I found myself feeling more powerful and more pleased with the utility of speech.
So I thought I'd share the same opportunity here with y'all. I figured there might be one or two of you out there who were also displeased with the GOP's proceedings, and who might appreciate this venue for self expression.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, given the circumstances, "FU" remains a perfectly honest and fitting response.

I reluctantly had the feeling McCain would take the nomination. But this is'nt the end of Ron Paul, and certainly not the end of the rEVOLution ! We did get people into offices and that's just the start. We have to continue seeding the local and state levels.
