Traitor Paul delegates worse than McCain supporters

...hear it from the horses' mouths before I render any opinion or pass any judgement on anyone's behavior. As others have said, we weren't there and don't know the full extent of what transpired.
I emplore you to tone down your rhetoric until the facts are revealed for ALL the RP delegates...what happened to one may not apply to others.

In a last-minute show of unity, Bay State Ron Paul supporters decided to throw their votes behind Sen. John McCain last night.
About a dozen Massachusetts supporters of the Texas Congressman and GOP upstart decided to back McCain only an hour before the delegates began to cast votes for the presidential pick.

This article doesn't go in to detail of the "Why" these Dr. Paul delegates gave their vote to McCain. I'm still at a loss as to why these delegates didn't vote for Dr. Paul. Were they threatened, were they bribed? I guess some of these delegates will be posting and explaining their actions soon.

This is politics. The American version. It is only lying, cheating and stealing if you get caught, and are not strong enough to get away with it. Most American politicians have been elected with assistance from the graveyard vote. Even Honest Abe. It is very possible that votes for Dr. Paul were not announced, or simply counted as being for McCain. Remember, we are talking about control over the richest and most powerful nation in the world. People will not play nice.

Judge not lest you be judged. It's easy to sit back and say "I'd never do that!" but you don't know that for sure. You weren't there, and neither was I, and I'm certain they were under some incredible pressures, even worse than you and I were at the Congressional and State assemblies.

In some states, the delegates were pledged for 1 round and in others for 2 or even 3 rounds. Then they're unpledged and can vote for whoever they want. This is a state by state issue. Let's see what the delegates have to say.

Last night a delegate posted on DP something about not wanting to go to jail, but that she was too tired to post more detail at the moment.

I can honestly say I would have refused to cast my vote for McCain, but it was their decision, and winning Ron Paul the nomination was impossible.

I'm ready (and actually anxious) to move on from the election. I'm sick of the election.... I need new projects....

Did you spend your own personal funds to go, take time out of your life to work for a spot at the convention? Can you not imagine the confusion of conflicting strategies our delegates were subjected to? The strategy was to work within the party to gain future as well as current support. Maybe the strategy was naive, maybe it was right on.
You are overly hasty in rushing to criticize. The truth about the RNC suppression of delegates and protest is leaking out already. We will hear of the delegates stories when they come home.

They weren't permitted to cast their votes. I know RP should have gotten 6-8 from PA.
