Once diehards are snapping like peanut brittle
I logged onto facebook for the first time for several months, and I am appalled by the number of once diehard Ron Paul supporters now snapping like peanut brittle. These are some status messgaes I see:
******* believes you can save America from being taxed into oblivion: Vote McCain/Palin '08.
*******watched the RNC, and may change her vote from Bob Barr 2 John McCain!
*******has decided to vote for Obama...
I swear these are people who campaigned for Ron Paul not too long ago!
Now I see how worthy of respect Ron Paul is, to have voted his conscious for so many years.
People: The lesser of two evils is STILL EVIL!
Carve Ron Paul into the Diebold machines!
Or at least vote for Barr or Baldwin for Pete's sake!

I'm on facebook.... I
I'm on facebook.... I actually just posted a note refusing to vote for either major party and detailed the fascist actions taken at the RNC. I'm Ron Paul for life.
Facebook Status
I changed mine last night to read "Thinks McBama has nothing to offer and that everybody should vote 3rd party."
I'm hoping my FB friends take notice.
MMMM
Peanut Brittle....
You mistake frustration and anger..
for 'giving up' or 'giving in'.
I don't believe that to be accurate. Sure, I'm bummed. Depressed actually. I recognize the signs in myself. However, I'm not tossing out my beliefs and principles because we got screwed during the RNC.
I mean, what did anyone expect? Fair play?
I too would have liked to see Dr. Paul walk away with the nomination but we all knew it wouldn't happen. At least the realists. I had my hopes, but deep down I knew I'd be depressed post-RNC.
So now, we mend our wounds, wipe the dirt off and get back out onto the field of battle. Just another page on the calendar. Just another day.
Christ, if it was that easy to beat us, they wouldn't be so worried.
I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...
Thank you for posting this. Well stated.
Love your tag line!
These aren't diehards
Diehards continue support and working for the cause after all seems "lost," people like you and me. We're diehards, they aren't. We need to knock them around a bit with our long stick of Rationale, and their bleeting selves will eventually come back into the fold. Persistence, optimism, and the occasional bitch-slap should do the trick. :)
For liberty!! *gong*
Carve Ron Paul into the Diebold machines! I like that
sentiment. It would get noticed. :)

Two out of the five young people who changed their voter registration to R and walked over to vote for the Doc with me in the primary are voting for Obama and the other three will vote LP at this point. We talk all the time about it and maybe I'll be able to show the O supporters something that will make the difference...
There are many 'former' RP supporters who are now more liberty-oriented than they were, no matter who they vote for this time. It can be a gradual education process. It can take years of study to become a full-blown libertarian, willing to vote on principal and not for the lesser evil or against another.

False friends are like autumn leaves
Found everywhere
True friends are like diamonds
Precious, but rare
ONWARD!
Diamonds are'nt rare.
The diamond thing is another scam. They are portrayed to be rare by they diamond cartel. If you knew how many children were mamed and killed in that business you would never wear a diamond again. Sorry I get it is a saying but not a good one. Do'nt buy diamonds. If you are getting engage there are truly more beautiful and valuable stones. True love does'nt need to be bought anyway. Look into the whole diamond business is evil. Alexanderite is very rare. Sorry kind of off topic but an issue that is of concern or should be.
Uh..yeah, just a saying...but..
perhaps you'll approve of this?
true friends are like Ron Paul
precious, but rare
Can't argue that one! ;)

We have a lot to do between now and November
My plans are to now research all the incumbents on the ballot in Oklahoma. I have to look at how they have voted on every issue since they have been in their respective office, contact them and ask what their platform is. Then have to research their challengers for their viewpoints and platforms. Next step will be to notify each one as to why I am or am not voting for them and help campaign for those I support. Any one in Oklahoma that would like to help me with research please contact me through personal message here on the DP.
I hope that other people will do this in their states!
already been
d-u-n...done. LOL
well would you share your
well would you share your info with me, please?
what?
Any one in Oklahoma that would like to help me with research please contact me through personal message here on the DP.
I have contacted you through a personal message here on DP.
You need to change the title
These people were not ever 'diehards' or anything less than a flag blowing in the wind.
Get some real patriots for friends.
As unimaginable as it is to
As unimaginable as it is to me that anyone who has had the light of liberty switch on in their brain can have it turned off, it is my opinion that the people who say such things are merely infiltrators, and were never supporters. If they were, they could never go back.

What "kind" of Vote to you have in your State?
No matter what kind it is, "Don't sweat the vote". Seriously, don't sweat it one drop.
DON'T SWEAT THE VOTE. We in the R3VOLution are here to stay and we have our eyes now on 2012, don't you?
Everyone has heard Dr Paul's message by now, and so, give them the Liberty to make the "Lessor of Two Evils choice" or "the devils choice". Don't worry, they will get a bad case of "Voters Remorse" soon enough.
Further, if I was living in a "swing state" like Ohio or Florida or California where the vote is supposed to be very close, I would have whats called a "Swing Vote".
What would I do with a "Swing Vote"?
I would probably vote OBAMA.
Why? Because in 4 years I would like to have Jesse Ventura (or whom ever we in the R3VOLution choose) go against "President Obama" rather than have to go up against a "President McCain".
Make sense?
The idea is simple enough, "vote now who you would rather be fighting in 4 years". Further, many of us are now getting deep inside the Republican Party, thus we are enjoying the use of those tools, the Voter Vaults that provide mailing lists, names and addresses. The out of power Republicans will warm up to our message, ...just to win. With a big name like Ventura constantly in the news and on the air, and on TV, the Papers, etc, Mittens and Huckleberry will fade out of favor.
I am in Arizona, so McCain looks to have a large margin, not a "swing state".
So now my vote becomes a "Protest Vote".
As a "Protest Vote", I will vote Barr/Root.... Or maybe NOT. Maybe I will have something much better to do that day, like cut the grass and take out the trash. Perhaps my son has a football game that day. Or perhaps a fellow Patriot in Iowa needs one hundred "Ventura/Johnson 2012" flyers & signs and I have nothing better to do but go to my garage, crank up the music and bang some out some Ventura 2012 signs. Or I might have fun overlaying a cool sound track of A Allen and Vaughn to some of Ventura and Johnson's best political statements and post it up on YouTube. What ever I do that day, I know this, I will be having fun.
Who knows what we will do that day, but DO NOT ...."Sweat the Vote".
Seriously, Don't sweat the vote.
The R3VOLution Lives on, and so the Vote is meaningless to you and me. The VOTE means zero, the R3VOLution continues to the battleground, 2012. And that 2012 battle will be fought and won in the next 4 years in 3 key States. If you live elsewhere, you should make regular trips to these 3 States over the next 4 years. Sweat that, but don't sweat the Vote.
Now is the time to get Jesse Ventura & Governor Gary Johnson SUPER POPULAR in 3 key states, Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Crazy as it sounds, "Name Recognition" is the name of the game. That was the 100lb ball around Dr. Paul's campaign, "low name recognition". The Media had a field day with Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and John McCain, giving them millions and millions of dollars worth of Free Exposure. Then Polling ensued, which Surprise Surprise, guess who was the "front runners"? Other contenders like Tancredo, Huckabee, and Dr Paul, had to get their supporters to fight hard to break that "media glass ceiling".
So our job is simple really. Over the next 4 years, as events unfold, we will use Open Eds, Signs, flyers, TV interviews, TV programs, radio shows, YouTube videos, etc to achieve massive NAME RECOGNITION. Believe it or not, Ventura is through the "Glass Ceiling", but its up to us to Keep Him There, KEEP HIM RELEVANT. He is our voice for the R3VOLution going into 2012. We must be highly focused upon these 3 states. The R3VOLution must berry in deep inside of these 3 States. That is where the Fun & Sweat Will Come From.
But don't Sweat the Vote.
Most of all remember this, ...."If you are not having FUN, you are not doing it right".
In Peace & Liberty,
Treg
Treg, I respect you greatly ...
you are high up on my dailypaul totum pole.
I too have said more than once that a vote for Obama could be a good thing and we all have our roles here. So pick your roles and do what is necessary.
Having said that ...
Ron Paul would not place a stratigic vote. Barr, however, did. Actions and words have meaning. This is very important.
As for me ...
I can not vote for someone that is against my ideals. I can not vote for Obama. You are a much more practicle person and this argument has merit. I just can not do this.
I will write in Ron Paul and my vote will not be counted in Ohio due to current Ohio election laws.
That is it.
WAHOR!!

you say once
you say once diehards..well..if they were truly diehards they wouldnt leave...so let them...half assers arent going to help anything anyway...
but the reason i checked on this post was to sasy wuttup djskiefer!!!! i still love the album and i listen to it frequently....
People don't understand
that one is as good or bad as the other because they come from the same cesspool. They are so afraid of taxes or wars so they vote for one or the other. Yes, so many of the Ron Paul supporters have gone back into their holes with their remotes and are voting with the rest of the sheep.
Doing the right thing is often a lonely business.

Once you go Ron Paul...
You don't go back.
The media knows how to play tricks with our mind.
Even as hard core as I am, the fact that the media controls what we hear and the fact that most people don't wanna wake up...
It's hard sometimes.
But it's Ron Paul for life!!!
Carve Ron Paul into the Diebold machines!
Best idea yet... and it gave me a smile just thinkin' about it... thanks djskiefer.
they never really cared
they never really cared about freedom
Yes, I was shocked
to see a few weeks ago this youtuber who supported Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul, switching to John McCain and making videos for him, mostly an anti-Obama thing. (As a Protestant, I have a problem with his "extra ecclesiam nulla salus).
http://www.youtube.com/us...
I suppose there will be a few, but they will only be the minority. Some conservatives who may have been looking at Dr. Paul, are probably inclined to vote for McCain based on the Palin factor. This is one reason Dr. Paul should stay - for now - in the GOP, for these people (sheep) will follow Dr. Paul once they are dissatisfied again.
Palin has some problems:
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
One has to see how she would develop and react. If McCain-Palin wins, do not think Palin will have much of an influence on McCain.
Go for Dr. Paul and gov. Gary Johnson.
dont be fooled
it is just their latest attack... mind games
it won´t work...
Some people sway in the wind
Some people sway in the wind like blades of grass....here now, there later..which is ok..at least you know on whom you can count.
These 'emotional' ones are the very ones that should keep us doing things like rallies, and marches...'bread and circuses'...it doesn't matter a great deal this presidential election...but it will next time around.
Well, you won't
find me voting for those warmongers. Peace
If you wish to be believed please post ...

We all have our roles.

Lol, you'll just have to
Lol, you'll just have to take it as an everyday story from a long time DPer. Kind of like those stories of walking down the street and converting a person to the cause. :)
O.K. then ...
I will put this in that catagory.
WAHOR!!

all I can say is the people
all I can say is the people who were with Ron Paul and are now changing...to Obama and especially McCain really didn't get why we needed Ron Paul in the first place....Do not grasp the evil that is coming our way...or the evil the US has traveled thus far.
I have encountered the same
I have encountered the same thing from people who should know better and I discovered why. TELEVISION! The greatest mind control device ever invented. All the people I have met, who "turn" like this, immerse themselves in watching television for hours on end each day. The saturation has the intended effect even if they are not consciously aware of it. My advice to everyone is to turn off the damn TV! Better still take an axe to it!

Agreed! (with both you and the poster below)

Just block the brainwashing channels (MSM, movie, religion, etc)
I say the religion channels because nearly every religious channel ends up saying we must fight enemies of Israel.
Indeed, the brainwashing channels are the majority of what cable/satellite offer, but there are still some good channels like music channels.
I love the Dave Ramsey show, but it's on Fox...and has anyone else noticed that half the time the Dave Ramsey show doesn't have Dave Ramsey. Instead, it's some neo-con show, but the listing says "The Dave Ramsey show"?
You can not block them. I
You can not block them. I was watching Law and Order the other night and EVERY single break, there were commercials for Universal Health care, and Standing strong for America, and all sorts of weird organizations to join. It astonished and sickened me. They all sounded so good. I even talked to someone who watched the ENTIRE rally on C-Span2 and was more in the dark than when I left to go there, 5 days before. They are propaganda masters. It is horrid.
Nail on the head...
You got that right David,
The MSM is not stupid, evil, yes. They have the science of mind control through propaganda down to an art.
Cancel your cable and/or satellite subscriptions immediately. I got rid of mine two Months ago and haven't missed it one bit. Mind you I hadn't really watched it for about a year before that and NEVER the news. I lean toward the mindset that absolutely EVERYTHING you hear in the news is the 180 deg. opposite of the truth. Take global warming for instance, BS! If anything, we are going into a new Ice Age.
Shut it down folks, especially if you have kids.
Thanks again for mentioning that David.
It's creepy how people will be forced to have digital TV in 2009
I refused to pay for TV up until a year ago when suddenly my rabbit ears wouldn't pick up anything.
Since I got cable, I've actually watched TV about the same or even less.
I worked in the telecommunication industry for years and believe me they are noting everything you watch...think big brother TiVo. They sell that info to marketers...including government marketers so they know how to best manipulate us.
Forcing everyone to go digital is for the government's benefit...thus, the government is willing to hand out 'free' digital converters. But there is nothing free about TV.
(1) TV is the ultimate time waster. With an inflation-based, interest-based economy, time is money. The less time we aren't working to pay off debts and become independently wealthy, the wealthier the banks get. Also, the less time we are involved in the leading of our community, the more they can get away with.
(2) TV is the best means to brainwash the masses. It's in your home and people want to watch it...just slip in little bits of brainwashing here and there. They do this with movies (Dark Knight was great, but big brother telecommunication listening in for our own good!?!).
So I firmly believe in blocking most channels or, just throw out all the TVs...and put all the computers in one room. People are likely to spend less time goofing around on the internet when other people are around. Oh yeah, as much as I love video games, toss them out too. Go outside and have a water baloon fight...or better yet, go to a townhall meeting and engage in community improvement discussions.
It's amazing how the many civilization sim games out there have almost no carry over value to getting involved in one's community. Instead of having a Second Life, have a First Life.
