Should RP call for a Summit to include Kucinich, Nader, Ventura, Barr, Baldwin etc. to consider forming a Unity Party?
Should RP call for a summit of people including Kucinich, Nader, Ventura, Barr, Baldwin etc. - to consider forming a UNITY PARTY?
Starting the efforts now would give it a head start for the next election cycle!

I just don't know what it would do
The news organizations will choose to ignore it, and they could still be easily kept out of the debates. On top of that, the news organizations will pull out every old video and take something one of the candidates said out of context to make them all look crazy.

Nader is a nut case
and would agree to be on any ticket. He is on the ballot in Michigan for the Natural Law Party. I'd never heard of that party. After a little search I discovered the NLP are in league with an organization called US Peace Government dot org. another dot org involved is john hagelin...any peace palaces in your state? Talk about globalism on fast track!!!
Not true
No one has sued the government more than Ralph Nader. Ralph Nader is credited with creating and influencing over 80 federal acts, such as the Freedom of Information Act. Nader's presidential runs are constitutional exercizes. In 2004 he earned himself 21 law suits in 17 states. Ralph Nader is not a globalist NWO neocon or lib. Ralph Nader says "The elections are rigged" and he prooves it every election. And Nader would LOVE to see his non-profits as profit organizations on the free market. Nader thinks it would be great if instead of one big corrupt EPA, the USA would have thousands of shops offering their "seals of goodhousekeeping" or consumer reports. We should have more choices and voices for protecting ourselves. It's not the governments job... Nader is misunderstood because the MSM corporations don't like how Nader is a threat to their business. Ron Paul and Nader have allot in common. Nader is NOT a Democrat, and let me remind you, it was Nixon, a GOP president, who took Nader's non-profits and made them government departments.
Nader will NEVER be president. But Nader is suing the government and I'm happy to help him do that.
Finally, there are 36 registered parties in the USA. In 2004 Pat Buchanon gave Nader the nomination of the Reform Party that put Nader on the ballot in 7 states. Nader is on a mission and he deserves support, if keeping the two major parties honest is important.
Remember that John Hagelin
Remember that John Hagelin got something like 15% in Jefferson County, Iowa in 2000?
that is scary!
I believe Iowa has more than one "peace palace"
That could never happen,
That could never happen, sorry to burst your bubble. These parties have such different philosophic viewpoints it would never work...I couldn't imagine seeing Nader or Mckinney speaking on behalf of free markets. It would be like RP speaking on behalf of 9-11 truthers. It just would never happen. ZING!
It's called coming together to

LMAO! Good one. Best chuckle I've had all day.
I just posted this on
I just posted this on another forum:
Did you guys read the post last night from the guy that attended Nader's speech yesterday (or the day before)? Nader told the group that he and Mckinney,Barr and Baldwin will be joining RP on Wed to discuss some things that they ALL agree on. Come on I used to be a liberal socialist. If a liberal socialist is smart and open minded we WILL change them faster than neo-cons. Why because in their hearts they really want to help they just believe the socialist programming like I did.I have just realized we what we supporters have done for Ron Paul besides validate him personally, we have made it possible for him to reach out to other politicians that really want to do good and see Ron as a force to reckon with. Don't tell me that Ron will not influence them. I've said this before. If corruption was not in charge then socialists, and conservatives would find their way. I just spoke with an attorney friend of mine I haven't seen in a year and he told me he donated $1000 to RP, & Kucinich. We discussed policy and when I used the term socialist my friend says "Hey I'm a true blue socialist at heart" It was very very easy for me to point out the obvious flaw of socialism and I said "I believe 'voluntary socialism' will always work because I do believe in the good will of the people of this nation. If we could handle the $ ourselves and not let the govt be involved while keeping the fruits of our labors could you imagine what we could do?"
Guess What!? Convert Cha ching cha ching! Better than winning a big jack pot. Just keep an open mind don't fall into the left/right paradigm. It's way more complex than that.
Great posts!!!
Despite major differences of ideas when it comes to political ideologies, we can all find agreement when it comes to ending corporate fascism and the mainstream media that enables it by promoting a two-party dictatorship. The last poster was exactly right, through friendship and civilized discourse we can sway many semi-socialists thinking over to the free market. Our goal as a nation should be to have a country where logic and reason will be used to determine the most beneficial systems to grow our economy and steer our foreign policy decisions. Hope is rising.
I have long hoped for a
I have long hoped for a temporary alliance between the Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party to go after the big two. Even those two are so diverse that they are natural adversaries, though win-win adversaries for the people. Cannot imagine bringing the other in even for a temporary alliance, but to make big gains, I would not totally discount the possibility. Maybe a nanochance in a million. Better to unite the Constitution Party and Libertarians against the GOP and the other against the Demos. Dr. Paul has been very clear about NOT leaving the Republican party as long as he holds an office won under that flag.
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unity against fascism.........otherwise we are pet food.

Utter Nonsense
I think a lot of you demonstrate a pretty poor understanding of politics. The ideologies of Ron Paul, the LP, and the CP are completely at odds with the ideologies of Nader and the Greens. The fundamental principle of Libertarians is non-aggression axiom. A person is free to do whatever he wants so long as he doesn't commit an act of violence against the person or property of another. Greens and Nader reject this theory. There isn't an aspect of human behavior in which Nader and the The Greens don't believe that in theory at least, the government has the right to control or regulate. If Ralph Nader doesn't like genetically engineered tomatoes than the state has the right to jail anybody who sells them. The fruits of your labors belong not to you, but to the State, who is free to tax you at whatever level it thinks "appropriate". A political party which unites non-aggression theory with unrestrained authoritarian socialism is an absurdity.
There are areas where libertarians and Greens, Communists, Naderists, ect can join in common cause. But these are mostly procedural issues such as breaking the unfair monopoly the two "major" parties employ to maintain their monopoly. Things like restrictive ballot access laws, and perhaps most importantly, opening up the debates.
Having a common enemy and purpose can be a powerful
persuader, and people have been known to compromise when trying to slay the dragon.
ONCE AGAINNNN.........
ONCE AGAINNNN......... KUCINICH... NADER.... HAHAHAAA HARDY HA HAHAHA! 2 socialists with Ron Paul.. wake up!
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
People have been known to compromise their
positions for the greater good!
an idiot who stands on a
an idiot who stands on a national stage and gives the thumbs up to nobama does not give a rats tail about the greater good! your in dream land my friend! kucinich is a socialist commie bastard! he is playing a role.. he likes obama ... what does that tell you about the mans character?? lol@ compromise their position for the greater good!
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
It's my understanding Kucinich and Ron Paul
are friends, primarily because they agree on a lot of the issues. What does that tell you?
It tells us Ron Paul is
It tells us Ron Paul is friends with a far-left socialist. Ron Paul is a likeable man, and so is Mr. Kucinich.
That all it needs to tell us. We need to stop being lemmings and pave our own way, and political PLATFORM is key.
SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
the only thing agreed on is
the only thing agreed on is the war... when that that idiot stands up on a national tv broadcast and endorses obama what does that tell you? he did compromise his "principles"! but not for the common good! and I will say this.. Ron Paul has said some things that he must say! you catch more flies with honey then vinegar! I would gaurantee you that 99% of kucinich's votes in congress turn Ron Pauls stomach! kucinich is not a friend to liberty and freedom! kucinich is a stooge!
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
Has has called for impeachment of Cheney
and he did say "Wake up America Wake Up". Ron Paul has also stated that he and Kucinich have a lot in common, which if it's close enough for RP, it's close enough for me.
It's kinda like that incident in the Gospel where Jesus says, "If they are not against us, they are for us".
lol....... Ron Paul would
lol....... Ron Paul would not ever compromise his character to work with a socialist... he may have needed kucinich to help with the war but everything else kucinich does is completly wrong! also please tell me what verse you are quoting!
as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD
Call it...
...the Patriot Party!
I LIKE THAT NAME!
And the name is important!
hmmm
some of them, but not all. The pro-life/anti-abortion issue is a dividing line between Barr/Baldwin and Paul on the one hands and Ventura etc. on the others. One could work together with Nader & Co. There should be room for the CP, pro-life Libertarians to merge.
"Independence Party" would be a good name. There is already two such state parties in Minnesota and NY and refer to the original revolution of 1776 and is a positive one. *Names like American Party is too general and non-descriptive, e.g. does it suggest other parties are non-American?). Independence also refers to individual liberty as well as sovereignty. The platform should include a few basic "radical issues to be differentiated from the two major parties, but NOT be too restrictive so as to exclude to many.
I love this idea!!!!!
I love this idea!!!!!
Political consolidation for freedom
Yes! Things are looking too grim not to consolidate in some way. (I notice that rense and press tv are regularly being interupted and that is the sign of facism.
'I always think of all you canvassors and precinct leaders and delegates at the front line and caucuses.
Good luck out there &Thank you. You're a gift.
The primary purpose of a summit
would be to discuss the possibilities. Even if they only agreed to throw their support to a particular candidate like RP, the weight of all of these forces combined could be a game changer.
It's called teaming up to SLAY THE DRAGON!
This might work,
JM
and then again I'm not too sure. Leadership is what is needed to make this happern. This might be over the top a little, but since we've had our own convention, and Dr. Paul is our choice for president, I think it's time for us to have our own election. Lets face it, Dr. Paul's message isn't going over too well with the Republican (elite) party. If we had an election, to counter the current presidential election, what the hey! It would be no different that the government within a government that we have now. Lets have a 2nd. president. We would have to set up a seperate (but constitutional) ballot system. This would have to be completely seperate from the political system that is presently in place. The MSM and all the political parties are corrupt to the core, so to work within their system would be completely out of the question. I'm sure all the details could be worked out by the patriots that are more informed than I. Why waste your time with the present political system, I'd like to vote for Dr. Paul under a political system that represents the people, a constitutional election, if you will.. How bout you?
Perhaps
it's the last chance to stop NWO finally taking over the USA.

Or we could use the
Or we could use the throwback name of the old Republican party, the 'Democratic-Republican Party'.
People like name association and since they already know both terms, the sheeple are less likely to banish us to the fringe.
yep!
We should create a "Freedom Party"!
Freedom Party- Good idea.
Freedom Party- Good idea.
Any coalition of Nader, Barr, and Kucinich: Not so good.
The whole point of a party is a platform to go with the name. Two socialists and a signatory to the Patriot Act do not fit the platform--which should be strongly constitutionalist.
TSUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
follow the lead of our forefathers
Whatever you choose to call it, some kind of unifying endeavor is imperative.
The Colonies didn't take on the British as separate entities. While each state had their own distinctive agendas, they agreed to come together on the common goal of defeating King George.
The Democratic/Republican Empire is as much, if not more so, a threat to our Constitutional principles than the Redcoats were back in '76.
If Kucinich, Paul and others will go on record as putting Constitution over Party, there is surely a way we can make an alliance, a reality.
The thirteen colonies agreed
The thirteen colonies agreed first that they would have to be unanimous if they were going to declare for independence.
Then the southern slave states demanded that the clauses abolishing slavery written by Thomas Jefferson in the first draft of the Declaration of Independence be removed if they were going to vote for adoption.
In the same way now it would be wiser to know what we are joining before signing on. Would prochoice supporters join if the anti choice supporters considered it constitutional to abolish a woman's right to choose?
Would pro life supporters join if the pro choice position were considered to be the Constitutionally correct position?
I am in favor of separation of the State and Religion for that reason. Religious people cannot offer evidence of the veracity of their contentions which they hold on faith because there is no rational evidence to support their beliefs.
The right to practice your religion does not include the imposition of your beliefs on your fellow citizens. A bill granting unborn the designation of person and in possession of the rights of citizens would be un Constitutional by any rational standard

Kucinich and Nader would never join with RP.
Don't you realize how totally different their platforms are? The only thing they agree on are the foreign policy issues. Didn't you watch the DNC conventions? Kucinich, said "up with Obama". He supports Obama. Obviously, war and foreign policy isn't that important to him afterall. Kucinich and Nader are not men of character in my opinion, not like Paul at least. If Kucinich is willing to overlook Obama/Biden's foreign policy record then he doesn't deserve the respect he gets in my opinion. But then again he might just be really naive and think that Obama/Biden will change their zionist agenda once they get in office. I am trying to be optimistic as well. I mean Obama has to better than McCain, right?
