Anyone here still think Ron Paul is going to win the election?

As in being elected as President in November?

Just curious.

Serious question.

The "idealogical battle".

I think that several posters here hit a good point about the "idealogical battle", but truthfully, we won the idealogical battle before the campaign even started.

The general Republican and Democrat positions are idealogically/intellectually bankrupt, and have been for years.
Their "idealogy" is to deceive enough people to win, and then do as they please to enhance their control and profit positions to benefit themselves and their criminal cohorts. Their "platforms" consist of a pack of lies that they have no intention of fulfulling, and the public seems to know this, but doesn't really care.

So no, I don't think it's the idealogical battle that is the issue here.

I define it as a battle against the entrenched INDOCTRINATION that has been carefully fed into the public's minds over many years, which makes them fall prey to the Republican/Democrat overtures.

Strange question

Dr. Paul has already said weeks ago he would not be on the ballot in November. How can someone win the election if they are not on the ballot in 48-50 states??? Please come up with something more constructive.

I'm assuming that those

I'm assuming that those talking about this is saying that the electoral college could vote for anyone they choose. While that may be true, its pure fairytale fantasy land stuff to even begin to think such a thing would ever happen. For crying out loud you couldn't even get some state's delegations at the dog and pony show to admit he got a couple of votes, when those votes would have meant nothing.

To me I did what I could do to have an impact, and like many people sacrificed a lot to help Paul. But that race is over and its time to move on. Now I will do some more to make an impact by helping Barr get a few more votes. That is the thing we should all be doing now, as far as the election goes.

Discussing the federal reserve was fantasyland stuff, too

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine a major presidential candidate would take on the Federal Reserve. But Ron did. The only one, ever, in recent history. Just last year, open debate about the merits of the fed seemed like fairytale fantasy land stuff.

Anything's possible...

I plan to either vote for him no matter what. But the average person seems to seek out shallow concepts.

People don't want non-beneficial things—except for what they want. Lobbyists don't want needless programs—except for theirs. ...Same old disgusting song.

In a presidential candidate, people prefer all kinds of dumb promises, pretty/fun words, and artificial glitter to good sense every time. They don't want to have to think about anything complicated; they just want to be payed off.

I hope I'm wrong (in fact I'm actually praying [hard!] I'm wrong), but I think folks will just take the high road (after all, their friends are all voting for the Indonesian actor Mohammad Husein McBanembaum).

We're very likely headed for many many years of turmoil (and the world bankers will be delighted to propagate our misery). The older I get, the more strongly I feel that way. I started the movement of constitutional patriotism in the 1970s. Progress has been moving forward at a painfully slow pace (periodically moving backward). We'll get there someday. The fight's not for wimps, that's for sure. We have future generations to protect (what more motive do we need?)

The American people will not vote for someone

who looks like a physical weakling, someone with a scrawny neck who looks like he couldn't take a punch. Too many voters are driven by non-ideological considerations that are largely unconscious such as biometric desirability factors. John McCain's neck is nearly as big around as his head. He looks like he could take a punch. Ron Paul's head wobbles around on his scrawny neck when he talks, especially in TV interviews. It is a huge unconscious turnoff for many voters to the point they don't even consider him.

I was aware of these turnoff traits when I gave my $2,300 to Ron Paul and supported independent efforts on his behalf. I had dared to hope they might be surmountable. Indeed they might have been surmountable under extreme circumstances, which the Fed was successful in postponing. But since most Americans are still in beer-and-TV mode, ideas about monetary policy and more freedom than they think they have are not paramount in their selection process.

Dude, we elected Alfred E. Neuman. TWICE.

Not to mention Obama looks like a freak, if you ask me. It doesn't seem to affect his popularity, though. Mitt Romney reminded me too much of a JC Penney catalog underwear model. Hillary Clinton, well, lets not go there...

Your conclusion

of the matter is that people did not vote for RP due to his looks ????
Oh good grief...YOU are the one who needs to stay away from the "punch" bowl

Some of your remarks

seem very strange. Is it not Americans that voted for McCain, with which he won the primaries, yet you say "the american people will not vote"..> Newsflash: they have already voted, also for Dr. Paul.
Dr. Paul is simply a slender built of medium height, nothing strange with his looks, unlike McCain (who looks very "unnatural and is shorter than Dr. Paul). Obama is also slender and tall.
Talking about head/neck movement, have you watched Ventura shaking and moving his head while speaking? Definitely not "natural" or ordinary, yet he won the governorship as a third party. I'm sure the overall majority of Americans do not vote on your description. If Dr. Paul was taller and bigger (like Reagan), it could have been a plus, but then again Napoleon was short (like Bob Barr)....

Its the absurd thinking of

Its the absurd thinking of the like of, "its not over" that makes us look like fools to the masses. It IS over, our guy lost, end of story. You don't have to like it, be happy about it, and you can sit around all day jumping up and down wishing it were different, but none of that will change it. He lost, and that is all there is for this election.

Now of course something else could happen, aliens could make first contact tomorrow, a volcano could erupt and destroy half the country, dogs could start to talk, but none of that is all together too likely to happen in the next two months. Is anyone quiting their job getting ready for that volcano? Why not? Its possible isn't it?

Ask me after the "Big Announcement"

The actions in the Constitution Parties of Montana and Louisiana speak for themselves. Even if he on the ballot in all 50 states, he might not win, but who even suspected he'd be on the ballot 48 hours ago?

I've got it!

JM
We had our own convention, why don't we have our own election?

Who cares

He said: "It's not over until it's over".
That sounds very reasonably to me.:)

Well, the GOP nomination

Well, the GOP nomination part is over, so what's left...?

The Presidential election on Nov 4th, if I am right.
Today is Sept 7th, if I am right, that means the presidential election is not over yet.

:)

Its not about an election or Ron Paul

Its about the Constitution and what kind of Federal government we have. Right now we have a Federal government that has way over steeped its bounds of power granted to it by the people and the states in the constitution. Let remember the spirit in which and how power derived from the Constitution. There was not a Federal Government that granted the people of this country a right to exist but we the people granted the federal government a limited power and right to exist. Some how we turned from limited federal government is best to a please big daddy government give us everything we want. The media is trying to play up that Obama is so much better because he has so many plans to fix this country, but do they ever question if the federal government even has the power to do what he wants. The tide has turned so much that we the people, the true granters of power no longer have rights. Ron Paul is no going to be our next president but what he stands for is the constitution and the ideal that every citizen has the right to be free and the power of the federal government is limited to what was granted to it by the constitution. We may not win the country in this election but we have created a movement that understands the issues, not from a knee jerk reaction of what is best for them, but a true understanding of the kind of government our constitution created and we have the spirit of live free or die. Its not about an election but that we are serious about a Revolution!

We're winning the

We're winning the intellectual battle thanks to Dr. Paul.

Unfortunately, we're losing the political battle.

Both are very important.

There will be no election

Everything is in place to suspend an election. Bush has his HR 1955 Homegrown terrorism prevention act passed which gives him the power to suspend elections in the event of a "terrorist attack" or natural disaster. The globalists are going to start some kind of conflict just watch. All the signs are there, just look at all the things being stirred up right now. I can not honestly see either Obama or McCain in the white house.

Don't think so. But it's

Don't think so. But it's not about one election... It's about our freedom message. Period.

Do you know someone who cares a lot about Israel? Send them this link that explains why Ron Paul's message is better for Israel, America, and the world. www.AmericansForIsrael.co...

Didn't you hear Jesse?

Voting in this election is not about picking the winner. It's about voting your heart and conscience.

The Question for us is not who wins the Election.

The Question for us is WHO is winning the ideological battle.

The battle is between us, the SMALL GOVT, PRO CIVIL LIBERTIES, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, CONSTITUTIONAL .....that is us small
" l " libertarians....

"libertarians" VS the twin headed snake of the State, ("Leftists Socialist & Rightist Fascist)

Are we winning that election war in 2008? Well for this election, the answer is no.... the country will make the devils choice between evils, either way Big Government wins, freedom looses.

But the R3VOLution is not about ONE election. The R3VOLution is about the bigger war, the war to take our country back from the Statists of both stripes. The war to shrink government power, thus increasing freedom. For those of us who understand WHERE the State gets its power, we zero in on Abolishing the 16th Amendment -- no income tax. By cutting the States life line -- its power to tax --- the flow of money, control and power over our lives evaporates and we free ourselves.

The IRS should be on everyone's radar screens. Like Dr Paul said, its a philosophical battle ....a battle for the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans.

You are absolutely right..

You are absolutely right..

actually now that I think about it I would bet

a whole pay check he wins the election on election day. lol I mean he has no one running against him.

yep

~peace

yes.

yes.

LOL

LOL

I know you're lying. I can tell from your postings that you're a sane person.

I was talking about his congressional seat

no one is running against him so I know he'll win the election. hahaha

No, Ron Paul will not the election but, God willing and I'm able

WE will win the "War For Freedom"

"Evil flourishes when good men do nothing."

Just another retarded

question. Nothing better to do?

Of course not ... never did ... neither did Dr. Paul.

That was not and is not his end game goal.

Freedom will prevail.

Paul will go down in history as our greatest citizen.

We still have work to do though, so keep setting goals and achieving them.

Having said all that ...

I am beginning to think you intentionally pick these topics to raise feathers.

WAHOR!!
http://www.dailypaul.com/...

I knew it was rigged in

I knew it was rigged in december and then I was convinced after super tuesday. I am not here thinking Ron Paul would be president but I am here to help him spread the message of freedom.

I've known elections were rigged

since I first really got involved in a campaign for the first time, in 1994. I have only become more convinced of it over the years.

Well, he won my heart and mind

so that's two wins. Peace

most likely not the election

most likely not the election ... but we won in our goal so far ... the goal wasn't to win the election it was to promote liberty and awaken a revolution to the ideas of the constitution ... so next time around we have a better foundation

Anyone here still think Ron

Barr wasnt always just another troll?

Live Free or Diebold

he was a winner from the first day

loser!!!!!!

ummm..

He won my election. :)

Is that supposed to be

funny? I hope so because if that question wasn't intended humorously, it could have only been intended derogatorily.

No, not supposed to be funny.

It's a serious question. Some people were still convinced Dr. Paul was going to get the nomination. There are some really unrealistic people around here. So it's a serious question. I'm just curious if there's anyone who still believes.

Surprising.

Because I knew that "seriously" was also an option, I actually just doubted someone would ask that particular question with the convention passed and all answered, seriously. Thanks for the response RonBarr.

I just want to know how far gone

some people are.

Wow

I must say there are not too many other people that think like I do. I wondered that too. Heh, I just never bothered to go for the answer.

ron paul IS my president

and that is good enough for me

~peace

Amen.
