Ron Paul Policies taught in High School

Hey everyone,

Im relatively new to the dailypaul, but im glad i joined. im 16 and i have a class called theory of knowledge. Well, each day I have the class we are allowed to bring up a topic of discussion. I brought up Ron Paul and his Rally for the Republic and we talked in class about it for half an hour. My teacher actually swam with Dr. Paul's son Ronny in high school and even went to his house! Anyway, my teacher, along with me throwing in side comments, preached what Ron Paul said to high school students. We mainly talked about the foreign policy with having bases in 130 countries and how we wouldn't like it if another country told us what to do. I did mention the monetary policy also and my teacher called Ron Paul the "true conservative" from the past. It was a stimulating lecture for high school students to hear and about 1/2 half the class got involved with asking questions, etc.

By the way, I wore my Ron Paul shirt proudly!

A few more things I wanted to add:
A quote that my teacher did use was that Ron Paul is determined to get the troops out immediatedly, while although Obama appears that he is and will eventually, he would not do it as fast as Paul.

Also, I got Ron Paul in my yearbook last year, mainly because I went to the CNN youtube debate and had a picture of me there.

Although my teacher told everything about Ron Paul accurately, of course he had to give the opposing viewpoint to 'appease' some who wanted to 'finish the job in Iraq'. Nevertheless, the message of Ron Paul and his principles were shared to high school students, and hopefully it will stick with many others.

Next time it is my turn to bring up a discussion, anybody have any topics that is similar to Ron Paul and his policies, but maybe isn't necessarily just about Ron Paul, because I think we have to change the subject. (But it can relate somewhat.)

good for you! I'm too afraid

good for you!

I'm too afraid to really do that here at my school... everyone is either for Obama, or is otherwise a hostile liberal, Marxist, or socialist... It's an art school.... there are literally huge portraits of Obama on display. It's disgusting. People here cannot comprehend not voting for Obama (although I am in Chicago... which is like their home planet...). The school actually promoted/advertised that people could work for Obama's campaign.

When one of the teachers found out that I could register in one of the swing states he tried to convince me to vote for Obama... actually the entire class did.... and this was during the class....

The one time I brought up Ron Paul, it was during a critique.... I had made a large portrait of Ron Paul... I was attacked mercilessly.

I swear, these people don't even know anything about Obama.... when they tried to get me to vote for him I said no, and that if I voted at all it'd be for a 3rd party candidate. They told me I was wasting my vote and I should vote for Obama because he was the lesser of two evils and he was the "peace" candidate. I responded by saying, "and yet he regularly votes for additional war spending, wants to send more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, supports aggressive Georgia, would continue the War on Terror, would continue to police the world, voted in favor of FISA, voted to renew the Patriot Act, etc. etc. etc."

I got goose bumps! This is how it's done.

In four years you and your classmates will be old enough to vote. This is how it's done. We don't need to convince everyone, we just need to plant seeds of truth. Great job, I'm proud of you. I hope me children will jump on the freedom train when they are old enough.

When I hear this, it gives me hope for the future of our country

www.dvds4delegates.com the newest and possibly the greatest weapon the Revolution now possesses.

please hold onto these values and spread them far and wide to your friends. There are a lot of sixteen year old kids who are not as smart as you are, please take time to educate every one of them that you can. Great job!!! We need more of you.

I'm going to spread them the

I'm going to spread them the remaining years of my high school career. Unfortunately, you still have those Obama supporters for 'change' and the McCainiacs, so I'll hope and see.

This Makes Me Smile

Things are not as grim as we might think eh?

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I'm having fun picturing all the 16 yr old kids going home

to neocon mom and dad and say "yeah but Ron Paul says" lol Why does that just give me goosebumps all over. Um these people really have problems when this age group start talking to each other about these issues. They are like sponges and they have very good common sense and good hearts. This is actually where these kids should be learning this stuff anyways. Our country wouln't be in this mess if the teachers and the children could actually have free open conversations about history. history and math are probably the two main subject a child can learn in school. anyone who does not study history is just doomed to repeat it. Give no more details about your school though we are very proud of you and your teacher might I add he is a very good man.

Do you know someone who cares a lot about Israel? Send them this link that explains why Ron Paul's message is better for Israel, America, and the world. www.AmericansForIsrael.co...

Wow, that is great

wouldn't that have wonderful if you could have video taped it. I would have loved to have been there. Peace

Next time i will. Now this

Next time i will.

Now this is just an idea that one other person said they may do and we've got to look into it and the price, but getting a whole bunch of Ron Paul shirts and wearing them on the same day. Now some people said they'd wear them, but wouldnt buy them. So if anyone has extra shirts, let me know. I need to look into them and see if I should go Campaign for Liberty shirts or Ron Paul for President shirts, I'm leaning towards C4L.

Great kid!

our generation screwed the pooch, it's going to take your generation to show us how to fix it.

September 17th, is Constitution Day, and Congress passed a law in 2004 that on this day, public schools must include the Constitution in the classroom.

I recommend the JBS video "Overview of America", for viewing in class.

Get your teacher to watch it, and let him know that September 17th, it would be a fine presentation for Constitution Day.

I heard that somewhere, but

I heard that somewhere, but I'm definitely going to do it! I'll make sure to tell that to all my teachers, not just this one.

I'm sorry to say this, but...

Be prepared to have your school shut down due to non-compliance of "no child left behind". Having crippled the educational system, I believe they amended it this week to further punish any school in which the words "Ron Paul" are uttered.

Seriously though, kudos not only to you for bringing up a topic relevant to your generation (as you will be the ones in a position to lead America soon!) such as foreign policy or monetary policy. Additional kudos to your classmates and teacher for keeping the conversation going for 30 minutes. Important topics to say the least, and thank you for letting us know Generation Y cares.

But again, please accept my condolences regarding the fact your school is going to be visited by an armed USAF Predator aircraft in the near future. :-)

Cheers,
A (very late) Gen X'er

That's great!

I'd like to adopt you!Keep up the good fight!
