These delegates frustrate and disappoint me

You guys validated for all of my outer friends and family that Ron Paul was just a nobody -- a fringe kook -- and now they are all voting for Obama.

Watching you guys cheer to Bush and the rest made my stomach turn.

You talk about moving up in the GOP, but I would never support you guys because who knows what else you would sacrifice in the name of supposed 'party unity'.

If you guys are willing to vote for McCain, you'd probably would vote for Hitler or Stalin.

What's the difference between you and Romney, Huckabee, or Giuliani -- absolutely nothing.

I really don't blame all the people who want to leave the GOP now -- who can you trust?

I thought this was about sending a message to the GOP, but apparently it was just selling out to 'get them democrats and the black man'.

Once you sacrifice principle what do you stand for?

You guys will never be like Ron Paul.

The least you could have done is let us know all about your stupid secret beforehand so we could try to replace you with someone who cared about Ron Paul and the message.

I think we have accomplished a great deal :)

Cheer-up Patriot's! Ron Paul hung in there longer than anybody,
He got more votes than the 'others I have to believe this HAS put a dent in their agenda and embarrassed them, while some thought Ron would get nothing. WE are opening the eye's of many more to come. Keep the faith.
The R3vOLution has just begun. =)

BTW The Campaign for Liberty only needs 1,500 more to reach its goal,

I understand your

I understand your frustration.... personally, if I had been a delegate, I would have refused to vote for McCain, even if it meant getting kicked out....

But, from all the accounts I've read, there's really nothing the delegates could have done. They were steamrolled. They had the secret service and the RNC gestapo monitoring them on the floor. They weren't allowed to speak, they had their belongings confiscated, they were shouted down with chants of "USA!", their votes weren't even counted.... even when they voted for Ron Paul... most of the states just overrode the votes of the delegates and pledged "full delegations."

I can understand the

I can understand the frustration. Always before I thought how stupid for someone to change over to Obama. Although I will never vote for Obama and his socialistic ideas, but watching the RNC, I do understand wanting to hit back at the GOP. It so frustrating to work so hard, only to be cheated again, and again. I hope anyone who is tempted to vote for Obama will reconsider and vote for one of the third party candidates. Not much chance of winning, but at least you won't have to face your conscience later down the road, knowing you helped him win. We should all vote our conscience. For all those who feel like taking revenge by voting Obama-think of the strategy. The evil ones who have prevented us having Ron Paul for president strongly approve of Obama-do you really want to help them in this way? We must keep our wits about us folks, and not let our emotions cause us to do something very foolish.

The storm hit, and we all got it good

But, as the saying goes, "there's no crying in baseball".

The closer all of us get to making real change, we will get even more resistance by the hardcore holdouts. We need brute force emotion, logic and personality to win over 'whole' human beings. Using logic alone, we will continue to marginalize our entire movement.

Then you and your people don't get it

Obama = NWO, more IRS, more Federal Reserve, more war.

Give me a break Obama? Obama=Bush=McCain they are all in it together.

The Democrats and Republicans play good cop / bad cop every four years to make the other one look so bad that you don't stop to think that its the same thing, the same people, the same problems.

The Democrats are not the answer, the Republicans are not the answer, the only answer is Revolution.

What's the story on this?

What's the story on this? I'd like to read it from a good link.

SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States

next time we need to put the

next time we need to put the delegates thru a test to see if they will break under pressure,,,,,, the delegates should not go for ron paul if they break easy under pressure

So, do you have some sort of "test" in mind?

Are you planning to administer it? Or require some sort of loyalty oath?

I just think a lot of people posting here don't get the fact that each individual chooses his/her own path. Some are straight-shot, no curves.
Others take a windier path with detours for subsidiary reasons they see worth exploring.

It's hard to go through the pain of watching the RNC debacle, hard to channel our anger in a positive direction for the future. And it can be hard to support those in our movement that see action differently than you or I might. But that is part of the freedom package. We come in all shapes and shades of committment and make differing choices about how to spread the freedom concept.

Maybe the Campaign for Liberty will develop some strategies and training for future delegates, now that we're wiser and know the territory.

I'd like to see a list of those delegates

that DID NOT cave & cast their vote for Ron Paul. These are the true leaders & need to be rallied behind.

Yes! I would be happy to support any delegate that got in there

and got the job done, Love to hear from you :)

Where are you getting

your information. I had no expectations about the delegates going into this. I was just happy anyone even made the effect to go. I contributed money to the delegates. This is not touch football this is serious scary shit. The general public still don't even know who the hell Ron Paul is. We don't know how people voted because the mics were cut off. So take a chill pill and get yourself elected to office. Leaving the GOP is what they want and it's not happening because if it drives them crazy that is my sweet revenge. hee,hee
It took 30 plus years for Ron Paul to be Ron Paul. I figure I have 29 more years to go before I could have Ron Paul's courage and wisdom. Peace

some of them stood up and

some of them stood up and did their job but others crumbled in the face of thousands of opposition ...

some would say they should have held together better and others blame them

each individual was affected differently although i still do not understand how some of them switched to mccain

I'm as disappointed as

I'm as disappointed as anyone, but if you've ever faced off against a group of 2 OR MORE angry, highly motivated, close-minded people (aka a mob) and ended up winning your argument, YOU are who we need to represent us going forward. You need to be adept emotionally, physically AND mentally to win this fight!

I have very mixed feelings about all this...

I was initially angry and disgusted, but after giving it some thought, I must admit that I was not there, thus I have no idea what pressure/threats/coercion was placed upon our delegates. I have also been thinking about what Ron Paul espouses...change from the bottom up. The higher ups in the GOP, I think will continue as they are, and are beyond "redemption". But because some of our delegates went for unity this time, I think the "regular" loyal GOP members would be more inclined to listen to our views next time around...going for unity may have knocked down that wall between us... made us seem less like "kooks", etc...
Just some thoughts I've been having...

We didn't have the numbers to win...

THIS TIME.

Politics is an ugly game. We had a presence at the stuffy GOP coronation, even though our delegate vote count was not what we would have liked. I would like to focus on the almost 15,000 delegates at the Rally for the Republic. There is more creativitiy, knowledge and resources in those 15000 people than the entire Republican Party. (Notice I didn't say money.) We have sent a message to the GOP and will continue.

I hope our delegates at the coronation will continue to work for the freedom message. This is not about a single candidate, it is about ideas. Believe it or not, our ideas are taking hold... not as quickly as I would have liked, but they are.

I agree with Dr. Paul

JM
on all the issues. I think everyone here does also. And I agree with you, to a point. This Sat. 06-08 7:50am ET. I've searched the web, all of this site, and I still haven't been able to find out too much about Dr. Paul's delegates vote at the RNC convention. About all I've been able to find are rumors and second hand info.. I don't know exactly what happened at the convention, and it would seem we will never learn exactly what happened there. If the delegates made a statement to the republican party that rings clear the constitutional rights of the people, then I haven't heard it anywhere. Not the MSM, not here, or anywhere for that matter. I'm still waiting. I can understand the MSM not reporting this, but I thought I'd hear more about this issue here, but it hasn't happened yet.
I think a delegate report is needed. It could be what Dr. Paul has in mind for his press release next week, but I just don't know.

Then You Agree With Dr. Paul

when he told Colbert, "I would lose everything," in reference to why he didn't support McCain in order to get a speaking role at the convention. If it's a good enough reason for Ron Paul it should have been a good enough reason for his delegates not to support McCain. No, I wasn't there, No, I wasn't a delegate, but I've been in the trenches here in PA for over 18 months, worked my ass off, precinct leader then county co-ordinator, canvassed, worked the polls all day for our delegates and you know, I never in a million years expected this. Never.

I think all the info.

JM
on the delegate count will eventually be posted here. Again, I really don't know what happened. The MSM didn't and will never report on Dr. Paul's delegate count. Thank you for all your hard work for Dr. Paul. You are a true patriot. I'm going over to http://www.campaignforlib... there might be something posted there. Thanks again.
If it turns out that the only way they could get to the RNC was to vote for McCain, then I don't see any point in going. I don't really understand the process, so, I'll just have to wait and see.
