The last option

Folks, there is only one way left to make Ron Paul president.

The Electors.

Unless you haven't studied your constitution lately, you should know that the people do not pick the president. They choose electors to do that for them. 538 of them to be precise.

This year, there will likely be several thousand (about in the 3-5 range) at most nationwide vyeing for an elector spot. Most likely, all of those eventually chosen on November 4th will be either pre-pledged to support Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin.

The goal then is to play to the potential electors. Some will be bound by state law to vote for whomever they were pledged to, and some will pay fines or do minimal jail time for being 'faithless' but if you can find enough willing to break ranks, you can at least throw the election to the House, if not give it to Dr. Paul.

While this is a bit far-fetched, the case can be made to both slates of electors, that the only way to prevent that other evil guy from winning is to vote Dr. Paul. It probably won't work. But it's the last stand we can make. Perhaps a compromise, get them to vote RP as the Veep instead of Biden or Palin, or even Paul as Pres and Obama or McCain as VP, or Perhaps let them make up their own tickets, Clinton/Paul, Palin/Paul, etc. The permutations are endless.

The nutshell is it is the electors who pick the president. That is who we need to influence.
