A Neocon's View of the Minneapolis "Paultard" Rally
The Weekly Standard's Matt Labash was sent by neocon Bill Kristol to make fun of the Ron Paul extravaganza in Minneapolis. Lew Rockwell comments:

as one of the drivers in the Oregon "Liberty Van"...
...as well as an attendee at the summit, and the Oregon state coordinator for the R4R, and having taken part in the discussion with Matt Labash (and given him my card after the summit in case he wanted to follow up), I have to say that Matt went out of his way here to cast us in an unflattering light. This article is worse than neutral. That having been said, it could have been even nastier. Some of us in the van group are total political noobs and didn't use discretion when talking with ML, who acted very friendly toward us... in a greasy reporter kind of way, at least.
So, considering the rag for which it was written up, I guess we can call it more or less a wash. Still, it will be nice when we have honest media and don't have to waste our attention on such considerations.
Having now read the article, I definitely feel good about having tipped off Debbie that Matt was in the summit. :-) Not sure if he's distorting Caitanya's comments about the side door; I'll have to ask him (Caitanya) about that. I don't recall any mention from HQ of an age restriction on the summit. Caitanya wasn't a summit delegate, but was allowed in by special request, IIRC.

I really really hate how
I really really hate how people have labeled us 'Paultards'.... that reference to being retarded is extremely rude and inappropriate. I think even the use of the word 'retarded' is kind of inappropriate.... and to label somebody that just because of their political beliefs is even worse.
I don't agree with this person and their political beliefs, but I don't call him any obscene name.
I do!
Mmmm...the options are overflowing! Yes, I know I do this just to feel like a big man, but dammit, I like eliciting enjoyment from berating the berator.
Definately with you on that feeling of incredulity seeing those professing political correctness to say such insensitive slurs masked as cheap political labels/jokes. Wasn't there a big hullabaloo concerning a phrase in Tropic Thunder when Robert Downey Jr.'s character utters the lines "you never go full retard?" I despise political correctness, but I also despise hypocrisy.
For liberty!! *gong*

NEO-CON CHICKENHAWKS
make me want to puke.
Thank You Ron Paul for bringing them all to light so that now they are all exposed for the cowards they all are.
It shows how scared the Neocons
And the inside the beltway libertarians are when they try to belittle us.
Ooops
there it is again,I'm Paultarded
I'm glad the neocons are
I'm glad the neocons are able to freely express their thoughts about us. When our sides attempts to do that, somebody usually gets arrested.
How right you are!
Great comment.
Not as bad as it could have
Not as bad as it could have been, I guess. I was dying to find out why Tucker left, though, and I guess this explains it. I think he was getting uncomfortable anyway. He didn't seem really "into" being MC from the beginning, to me..
Imagine what Tucker Carlson got paid by us
for that pathetic performance?
Too bad they don't have to file FEC expense reports
It's a 501c4
Who took over?
Who took over?
The Mcee part I mean
Does anyone know who took over for Tucker Carlson
When he bailed out?
