Obama slips - "my muslim faith"

Wow, just read down further to some of the religion related comments. It is basically small potatoes to quibble about this when there are issues to discuss. Don't forget that our President used his faith to get elected and I haven't seen him once use his position to do anything particularly "Christ-like". Hmmm...let's see....pre-emptive wars, Katrina....do I really need to say anything else? Using the Rovian theory and playing the faith card are simple tricks used to mislead and control the public....kind of like how the "Muslim extremists" are using Islam in their spheres of influence. Hearing all of the "this is when I got religion" stories from the candidates make me want to both laugh and cry at the same time. Ridiculous.

First is that to be considered Muslim, all you have to do is say to yourself "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet" with conviction, and then shower to symbolically "cleanse" yourself of your past....after this you are considered to be Muslim.

Another interesting point is that Shia Islam allows its followers to be deceitful about their beliefs, if necessary to protect themselves. This could be due to the historical bloodshed between Sunni and Shia, and could also not apply since I've not heard if Obama attended a Sunni or Shia madrassa.

Something to think about. I can't figure out what is truth and what is lie with all of this talk about Obama's childhood and past and it annoys me because it is being made deliberately confusing.

we are bought and paid for, that is why we support Ron Paul.

For the people that "don't care" about his muslim faith you must understand his faith is being used as a weapon against the west. Here's the system:
1) Get one young biracial boy from a mother who's been brainwashed into believing all whites are evil
2) Fund that woman from some Nazi foundation (in Barack's case the Ford Foundation)
3) Raise that boy from a young age in the twisted, fundamentalist muslim faith (the type that advocates murdering infidels)
4) Train him to publicly renounce that faith, but in private still practice
5) Hire a handler (someone to make sure Obama does all the things they want him to do) to lead him through college (in Barack's case Zbigniew Brzenski)
6) Start a christian faith to raise political capital (Barack even testifies that is what he did)
7) Become president and behind the scenes promote the handlers agenda

Barack is one brainwashed puppy dog. His mother specifically chose black men to date so she could be counterculture. Interracial dating isn't wrong, but dating because she thought it would be injurious to her own race is pathological and twisted.
Barack's Muslim faith will be used as an invisible weapon against the american people unless we announce it right now. His Kenyan heritage will also be used to further erode the elections of our president. I'm not saying Vote McCain, just don't let your voices be stifled due to your inability of a real choice.

The irony is that Bush claims to be a Christian. Every leader claims to be whatever the popular religion is to the constituents.

It's easy, for example, to post the 10 commandments on the wall. Maybe we should pay more attention to whether or not someone actually follows the commandments and less attention to what they claim to be.

I'd take a good muslim over an evil christian any day, but it makes you wonder why he feels the need to lie.

But of course Obama supporters are just as dumb as McCain supporters. They are a bunch of anti war people supporting a pro war person, even though it is their number one issue. Only someone as smooth talking as Obama could pull that off!

With all of the faults you can find in Obama, don't make this 'slip-up' a big deal .Focus on the real issues.

that you can try to use it against him, but he can say what he said on the article or say he was talking about his early years, before he found Christ when it was convenient for him when running for political office :D

if you are Muslim and deny it, are there dire consequences. He also had a little problem with the number of states in the United States. He also had a problem with his arm when it was time to pledge to our flag.

so is he or isn't he? When I watched Stephanie Tubbs funeral it appeared the black caucus was patting themselves on the back about getting Obama the nomination-like it was planned for him for a long time-I say tread carefully on this one

It's not what faith he belives in, it's that fact he was caught
in a lie. If he can't tell the truth about his faith, what else is he
hiding ?

I don't care what religion he practices... I only care about his policies, and his policies suck. Period.

Most Muslims, Christians, and Jews are good people... A few mess it up for the majority.
