AZ Election Official Arrested for Flagging Tampered Ballots: Charged with Criminal Trespass: UPDATE

During Saturday's audit of Pima County ballots from Arizona's primary election, official observer John Brakey was forcibly removed by sheriffs when he raised questions about possible ballot tampering. At least seven ballot bags arrived unlocked or lacked proper chain of custody documentation. Elections Director Brad Nelson had Brakey arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
"I was doing my job!" Brakey said, who represented the Democratic and Libertarian parties in an official capacity at the state-mandated audit. "The first thing you do is check the seals. Are the ballot bags locked? Do the numbers on the seals match the seal number listed on the documentation inside of the bag? This lets us know that the ballots were properly stored and sealed by election workers, and arrived with chain of custody intact."

And in the aftermath of that Election, we both sensed that it was stolen, though for different reasons. I had been following meta-analyses of the pre-polling that showed Kerry winning by about the same percentage that he is “officially” supposed to have lost by. (I knew meta-analysis to be a sophisticated mathematical method used in science to reliably combine data on the same subject taken by many different methods; these data were not likely to have lied.) On the other hand, as Democratic Cluster Captain for four polling places in Tucson’s 27th Legislative District, John had encountered poll workers at three of those sites doing irregular things and hiding from him the carbon copies of the poll books to which he was entitled. By the end of the day, he concluded that those poll workers were up to something. And John decided to find out just what that something was...

omg ! That first video documented what the people could do. They did need one reasonable board member who felt he was there to serve. Then they convinced another one, scared several, and the right thing happened in 2006. Do not let the media "spin" the fight this time around. Those people were RP people without knowing it yet. And they got it done.
Gosh, it was good.

There is no argument here.
The ballots were not documented correctly and the monitor did what he was there to do. Each of those officials are guilty of tampering with the election by preventing him from doing his job.
At the very least, they should be fired, prohibited from serving in any capacity of public trust for the rest of their lives, denied all benefits/retirement, prosecuted, and imprisoned.
While the people have generally been apathetic, now that we are waking up and trying to fix things, this type of behavior on the part of public officials is inexcusable. There is NO legitimate argument, legal or otherwise for their actions. NONE.

Until the voting problems are fixed we will not have fair elections, and we're all just spittin in the wind.

When I voted in the primary before this last one, they were shaking and banging the voting machine to get it to take the ballots. At the most recent primary, the machine had broken entirely and they were just shoving the ballots in through a slot in the side of the box.
It's an air-tight system I tells ya!
