"Health care for all" means that the 'government' is basically taking MY money by force, essentially at the point of a gun or threat of jail time, and giving it to someone else who isn't as productive and isn't willing to take responsibility for their own needs. Socialism is ROBBERY, plain and simple. What if I don't WANT to give my money (or have it taken away from me) to pay for someone else's shitty government health care, huh? What you miss when you support big Gov. programs
is that government bureaucrats totally control people in those programs.
Only officially approved doctors or treatments, in the instance of medicare.
The favored suppliers have an absolute monopoly and alternative practitioners are suppressed, along with traditional and new care options that many many people prefer to the few expensive, invasive, often harmful "approved" protocols. Much of our society including kids are drugged and harmed by the officially mandated medicine.
It happens in all government programs. People lose choice and are weakened in every realm of their lives. Freedom out the window.
You have been selling out for money. Witness what the government has done with tax money. They've destroyed the economy trying to pay for every conceivable want people have, except the liberty to live as free individuals deciding all aspects of personal life choices without coercion.
I beleive the system should be built around free market insurers
and vouchers.

How in the world can you justify obombo's support of the Thought Crime Prevention Bill?? I thought of at least 50 other similar questions but this is the one that most often haunts me.....especially since he claims to be a supporter of the Constitution and oh yeah! he took that oath, remember?
Truly a act I'm against...but only two people voted against it..
Paul and Kucinich. And at the same time, the ACLU actually defended the bill. I read it, and the wording could be MUCH, MUCH better; and I'm deffinetly against criminilizing thoughts. But if the bill were to fit to discourage the actual actions I'm all for it. Frankly; I don't see why theres such a big fuss about it.
Its deffinetly controversial; and I definetly wouldn't of written it like that. But frankly...only two people rose a stink about it. And even Paul has fellow congressmen in his Republicans for Peace organization that should of voted against this; but they didn't. Frankly it's comparable to the recent bill banning lead paint in toys Paul voted against; and was once again the only one to vote agains. Frankly I supported that one strongly.

But at the same time he has said he wants to work with everyone, to bring safe limits to guns and allow the liberties of the law-abiding-people.
McCain has just as bad of a record on Gun Control. And its not a deal breaking issue to me this election cycle. Neither is abortion, gay marriage, and such. They just don't matter right now. Bigger issues at hand.
I trust Obama to respect the Constitution far more then McCain. And yes I'm very angry at him over the FISA vote. But at least he tried to reach a middle ground. McCain doesn't care about trampling peoples rights.
Obama is far from the ideal candidates. Some of his policies are a bit too authoritarian for my tastes. But then again, even the candidate I like most; wants to outlaw guns completely. And I'm against that.
Generically theres never a perfect candidate. But I voted for Bush in 2004, I'm a ex neocon; and I'm not letting myself fall into the trap of letting neocons win this time.
If at the very least; if McCain wins; I can say; "Its not my fault, I voted for the other guy."
And ultimately thats the only satisfaction you will get out of our essentially two party system.
Sure its flawed; sure its horrible. But like I said, there are two candidates on my ballot; there are no third party candidates here. No write in candidates. I choose one or the other. Its that simple.
