Adam Kokesh retracts his support from Bob Barr

Red-blooded freedom fighter Adam Kokesh, who spoke so stirringly at the R4R, and stood up boldly as a protester in the RNC convention, has publicly rescinded his support from Bob Barr.
He did this directly to Bob Barr's face at the Barr press conference today, because of his anger at Barr snubbing Ron Paul and the unity meeting.

what was the attraction to begin with? Here is this articulate, young, passionate patriot as part of a Iraq veteran against the war and yet he was backing someone who not only voted for it but still defends it. Sorry, did not, does not compute. Why did it take today to turn him away. The confusion of today will pass away to tomorrow another day. Goodnight all of my fellow Patriots. Tomorrow will no doubt bring more questions to ponder and issues to sift through.

Turns out Barr will destroy what is left of the Libertarian Party first. Too bad I find their platform very close to my beliefs. About the only thing they can agree on is to disagree. Kudos to Adam for telling it like it is. The more I hear from this young man the more impressed I am.

It is understandable that Adam would react this way, but I can see both sides. The Libertarian party does not want to dissolve into the others or become a watered down message, they are serious about what they believe and uncompromising. They see a serious future for their party. Dr. Paul is trying to expand the debate and push down the two major parties. Dr. Paul is trying to grow the third parties which will put pressure on the two major parties to seek those votes while bolstering the other options. Imagine if we had a broad spectrum of parties and true competition and debate were reintroduced. The Libertarians want success and growth now, and who can blame them. It's certainly not a reason to pull support of a candidate. They both have their approaches and I am glad they are attacking from different angles. This announcement however was not aimed at us, it was aimed at the unconscious voters who will be led to our mission as they discover the real truth of the issues. I am supporting both approaches which is common sense and certainly nothing to be angry about. Anger is foolish in almost all cases.

The Libertarian Party couldn't be more wrong about this. After today I feel more energized and supportive of Ron Paul than ever.

While I was not a Barr supporter...I was willing to examine him as the lesser of "3" evils as I consider him to be a career politician/operative. Now, there is absolutely no chance for my vote, and in fact, I will act to counsel any and all against supporting him with their vote...protest or not.

that you are not familiar with Kokesh's in-your-face style of political activism. he is an iraq vet and he held a sign saying "mccain votes against vets" at the RNC. i actually saw it live on c-span during mccain's speech. how awesome! the other side of the sign said "you can't win an occupation". i wonder how many millions saw this too?
he also spoke for 'veterans against the war' at the R4R.
this is his latest stunt and i look forward for many more. hes a very inspiring guy i must say.
