Tom Woods: "Baldwin is the best guy left."

From Tom Woods's Facebook profile

When asked where his vote is going:

"I'd say Baldwin is the best guy left, not that I agree with him on everything. Murray Rothbard didn't agree on all the issues with the politicians he supported. But even though Nader and even McKinney are very good on some things, they're so bad on the issues they're bad on that they far outweigh any problems Baldwin might have. Believe it or not, I once considered voting for Barr, just because I thought he'd do the best among the third parties, and be most likely to tick off McCain."

Later, Tom posts a link to Mike Ferguson's Ron Paul smear blog that he posted earlier today in defense of Bob Barr and says this:

"If the Barr people don't fire this guy by the end of the day, are we not free to draw certain conclusions about the nominee himself?"

Finally, on LewRockwell.com:

"Here's the Barr campaign's national field director, determined to take a disastrously stupid political move and make its impact ten times worse. Whose votes are they winning by doing this? What could possibly be going through their minds, other than how to alienate whatever supporters they currently have?"

I agree with Woods

on Mike Ferguson, who has been with the LP since quite a few years and had interviews, also years ago. He really went overboard and should be fired. I heard the Barr campaign asked him to retract it. Barr should respond to all this some time, perhaps in a youtube some time.

Perhaps he is right

Whoever he is

I may agree with that too

Of the realistic choices I think a vote for mr. baldwin might be the most effective at moving us towards a constitutional government.
I dont believe in mixing religion and government, or legislating morality. but the other 80% of his platform seems very much in line with libertarian, conservative principles.

Is that 6 central?

Just confirming.

I'm in fully for Baldwin.

I'm in fully for Baldwin. Barr just shot himself in the foot royally. His actions are self centered and not in the best interest of the nation or 3rd parties. Besides...if he cannot keep his word/honor to show up...then why should I believe a man that cannot keep his word.

Buh bye Barr...it is sad for me to say as a previously registered Libertarian...but the LP is going down like the titanic for this election season.

My vote will be for Baldwin. I as of this moment pledge to work against my former party for this presidential race as long as that dishonorable man Barr is the nominee.

Thanks to Bob Barr and his now apparent neoconservative self.

I agree

Baldwin is the best this election cycle has to offer. Maybe little too obsessed with illegal immigration but almost identical on all issues our president espouses. Not that I'm for open borders or whatever but the main problem causing this flood from the south is a corrupt welfare system.
Either way Ron Paul is my president for life but for the next 4 or 8 years Baldwin would be still the best "official" president in the last 100 years or more

One of the smartest guys out there in my book!
