There are some negative associations with the LP from the past also, that made people ignore them. If you think they are all good CHristians, then you make a bIG mistake. Ayn Rand was an atheist, some work with NAMBLA and many are pro-choice, while Barr is pro-life and more conservative than many of the radicals. When Dr. Paul received the LP nomination in 1987, there was a strong outcry against him, as he is pro-life, a christian etc. just like Barr. Barr is not perfect by all means, but he is basically and honest man and does have some
strengths, after all he is a friend of Dr. Paul and Howard Phillips, the founder of the CP.

Your formulation "was placed" seems very obscure. The truth and reality is that the majority of the delegates at the LNC in Denver elected him.

I do tend to agree with your assessment of Root, I do not trust him. He is different than Barr in foreign policy and was NOT Barr's first choice. Barr wanted
Mary Ruwart (an anarchist) or Mike Gravel to be his VP. With the LP it is so that the delegates, and NOT the presidential candidate, decide on who the VP should be.
Barr is very much also for the constitution and sovereignty. For Pete's sake, he was with the CIA from 1971-1978 and served later under Reagan. Does this mean he is evil? Newsflash: Dr. Paul works with CIA people as advisers, like Michaeul Scheuer, Phillip Giraldi etc. People working witht he CIA are not bad as such, many just follow orders. It is the people at the top - like James Woolsey - that are the evil ones.

If this is correct, then don't let the Neo-Cons accomplish their goal! ("divide and conquer"). Whatever happens, just make sure your friends and family vote 3rd party. It is McCain and Obama that are our enemies. Our goal this presidential election is to support all 3rd parties. Most people don't follow this stuff as closely as we do. Some people would rather vote for McCain (BOO!) than Green Party and Baldwin is not always on ballots or is sometimes not known to people. Let's not give people any reasons to vote for the war candidates Obama and McCain.

This post is 100% right on. The establishment has effectivley infiltrated the most powerful third party and are/have attempted to take Dr. Paul down with it to no success. Fuck off Bob Barr.

I suspect that Bob Barr was set up by Dr. Paul. Dr. Paul's refusal to endorse or promote him at any time was very telling, and now we all know why. Bob Barr is just another neo-con.

When Paul went to Rome he had to make concessions in order for the NEW religion to be made official and for its numbers to grow. Thus, the stories in the bible had to be reconfigured so that they resembled pagan ritual. This made the transition easier and converts were able to cross over without much sacrifice.

Vatican City is the richest City in the world. The pope's wardrobes cost $100s of thousands of dollars.

Ron Paul asked the four candidates to make a committment to the voters... to meet a minimum standard.... three of the four independents made it and none of the two main stream candidates made it.

Ron Paul is a simple man that is a pretty saavy statesman... you have to give him allot of credit... he's made it pretty clear... it's down to three.
