Why Don't YOU Run for Congress to Support Ron Paul?

This was in the article at AOL News: "As to whether abandoning Iraq and Afghanistan, or abolishing the IRS and the Department of Education are good ideas (never mind whether the latter items have a snowball's chance in hell of passing muster in congress) almost seems beside the point. Mr. Paul has become a symbol of revolt for voters tired of politics as usual".

Now, I do not want to take anyone's focus off from helping Ron Paul win as President. Or to take away from any money that anyone has to give him.

But, when he's President, which he will be, he will be able to do so much more if he has a congress full of people who support him. Like YOU!

Ready for a career change? They pay congressman, you know.

If you promise to devote as much energy and give as much money as you would have anyway to Ron Paul, please read this article:

actually

my father in-law ran for house of rep a few years back on the Republican ticket and left the party when he saw the liberal streak that was invading it here in Maine. I could always ask him if he's interested in running again.

Oh, and we're both big Ron Paul supporters here in Maine.

I want to Run...

I want to Run as a Ron Paul Republican here in Tempe AZ against Congressman Harry Mitchell, democrat;

However, I will NEED the power of the Ron Paul Revolution behind me.

Lets build a web link to Dailypaul for Paulie Congressman... We need to harness the power of the Revolution. We need dozens and dozens of Paulie Congressman.

If I could get the support of the Revolution behind me, I would do it.

Run for what you can

Most people just don't have the time or ability to run for congress. It's a great idea though, and those who can should.

If you don't have the time/ability to run for federal office, try local and state races.

Remember that you usually will run and lose 2-3 times before you win so don't get discouraged, it's part of the process.

I think Paul has a real chance to win yet, and that's where our focus should lie in the next few months. Either way the impact of what we're doing will be significant. However it will be a lot more significant if even 1% of Dr. Pauls supporters run for office. Imagine the impact of hundreds or thousands of pro-liberty candiates jumping into races in the wake of the Paul campaign.

Even if Dr. Paul is President, his ability to make more ambitious, lasting reforms will be limited unless we have people running for congress and state/local office.

I think most Ron Paul supporters would be comfortable in the Republican, Libertarian, or Constitution parties. I'd generally say that if you can get through the Rep. primaries your chances of winning are far higher than if you're in a third party.
P.S. is the Reform Party even around anymore? I'm just curious. I wasn't a huge fan.

Constitution Party

Actually, why not just join in with the Constitution party. They have a lot of the same stances as Ron Paul, and they would be a lot more likely to embrace any differences into their platform.

If nothing else, you could advertise yourself as a Ron Paul Republican.

I am 21, and I just read

I am 21, and I just read that you have to be 25 to be in congress, and I am about to begin a truck driving career and if I go long -distance over the roads, I decided to fully study politics and american history and government and economics in DEPTH and by the time I'm 25, either go to school to study some more, or go for it. I skimmed a list of my current congressperson's voting record and it was embarassing. Maybe something like city council would be a good start too...But getting into Ron Paul has made me realize that this NEEDS to happen. The people need to take the government back

Of course, I wouldnt make up

Of course, I wouldnt make up a party name. I'd be a Republican. Like I'm supposed to be...of course I'm an independent right now and kind of proud of it. Let's keep America guessing.

Rich, from NH

New Party

I have been thinking about that as well!!

How 'bout the "Paul Party"

I'm a Canadian, but maybe we'll start it here too!!

Keep up the great work America!

Canadians Love Ron Paul!

Chris

New Political Party

Let's start The Paulitarian Party!

I'm thinking of running for Village Trustee

Not a whole lot pull but, it's something.

momentum

Now that our campaign has momentum, this is exactly where our efforts need to be addressed...locally...city, state.

Protect your state's rights!

I agree

The same thought has crossed my mind. We need to elect our own people in to Congress as the next step.

local

What can you do locally to address the Real ID Act or the emergence of the North American Union?
