I was just about to turn off the tube when I saw a press conference. In it I saw a man speak of the trouble that will come should we not listen to him. This man has done nothing but lie since I first saw his face. He was joined by three other men.
Men?
Maybe I should use another word for them. HORSEMEN!

Well somebody let 'em out that's for sure...
One of the plagues is here in Florida. I picked over 100 ticks off my dog in one night. I had to shave him completely bald to find all of them, and he is on flea and tick repellants. Now he has a flea and tick collar on top of that too, along with being sprayed every 3 days, and in the week since the shaving, I have pulled over 60 more off of him. More than one off me and one off the wife.
This is insane this year. I spray the yard where they go out every 3 to 4 weeks also.
Sound to good to be true? I still have them all in a jar. I'd be happy to send a photo.

have you tried seven dust? 5% get it at you local co-op. I live in Oxford Ms. in the woods, my dogs go hunting alot by them selves, Jack russel terriors, great dogs!

We use that stuff you drip on their skin--seems to work well.

I use that stuff too. They are immune to it this year.
I'm not kidding at all Lisa. A few other neighbors have it just as bad. I have found about 10 or 15 just sitting on baseboards or on walls. Even had one boogie down my computer screen like a little heat seeking missle right at me. Up and over all the keys on my keyboard. I have vacuumed and powdered all of the carpet and it isn't even fazing these things. Tonight I pulled 9 off from exactly right under his tick and flea collar. They were embedded and quite alive. And I never leave him outside. He is an inside dog. Only out in the grass to go to the bathroom.
It's insane.

when i was visiting texas, the same thing happened to my dog. the veterinarian there suggested a pill. it is fairly new, but it does work. i don't know what else it might do to yur dog though.

We've got paralyzing ticks here so it's pretty serious if they're around.
I've never heard of anything you are describing. My city is a similar latitude as Sarasota (but upside down).

We had a two yr. drought.
All the lakebeds (and theres a lake every mile in Fla.) grew to be fields during the drought. Now the rain season has been heavy and all those lakes are filling up. I believe it is driving them out of the grasses in the lakes and up to high ground. The treefrog population is just now recovering from the drought, almost back to normal. Back to finding them in my truck door jambs, and on the dashboard on the way to the store etc., so I'm hoping they get to work and do their job again. It's nice to see the frogs all over my windows every night again finally.
Also it has been a little breezier than normal this year. So I imagine some have been blown out of trees.
Sounds like that's your problem.
Hopefully the drought is broken and things will get back to normal next season.
Cross your fingers we get rain here too. We're about to be forced to drink pee.
