Seek out American militias to join or create one

The Michigan Militia is only a contact away ,went to a meeting this weekend .................getting lots of supplies in soon . There will be exercises going on in the coming weekend .

Militias are illegal in Idaho because of a bunch of stupid Nazi skin head types that used to reside here and that flaunted their BS and falsely associated themselves with militias and patriots etc. Also because of stupid sheeple that don't know their history.

People need to learn to keep their big mouths shut. And realize anyone with a brain is not advertising on the internet. And that any high profile militia has been infiltrated to keep an eye on them.

I sent this to some folks who thought perhaps I was recruiting on another thread, I am not but it seems relevant for this thread.

I don’t know most of you personally and you don’t know me. How do you know I am not a fed trying to catch you in a sting? How do I know one or more of you are not feds fishing for someone to arrest? We don’t!

That’s why it's not a good idea to just throw in with people over the internet or even locally you don’t know because to the jack booted thugs resisting real tyranny is a criminal activity. So common sense dictates that we be cautious.

However I do have some instructions for you if you like. Take them or leave them.

First talk to friends and family you feel you can trust. Make a list of people you feel you can count on in a crisis. Have a face-to-face sit down with these people and lay out your feelings about what’s going on and where we’re headed. Don’t try and brow beat them to your point of view if they are not quit there yet. Just lay things out and let them take it or leave it. Give them some time to see what’s going on around them and digest what you told them, plant some seeds. As things get worse they may come around. If they instantly jump up and call you a nut or conspiracy whacko and storm out you might want to put them at the bottom of the list or cross them off if you’re pretty sure they are a lost cause. However you never know what might wake someone up.

The point is you need some allies where you are, not across the country where you really don’t know someone you met on the Internet. If you have a Ron Paul/ C4L group and you are going to demonstrate you might want to let people know that if you are unlawfully detained or kidnapped you intend to resist and expect others to do the same and not let them get away with it since we outnumber them. You will quickly find out if any will stand with you or not. Be prepared for few or none. Don’t chastise them if they don’t, just lay out your case and tell them those are my feelings about it and leave it at that.

If not enough will stand with you then do not be a martyr because it accomplishes nothing. Live to fight another day as the saying goes. Don’t get discouraged but continue to educate. The coming storms may do much in waking people and creating resistance to tyranny.

If you can get a retreat prepared. If it is a friend or relatives place make sure they know you will be coming if TSHTF and they are on the same page or very close, and have a cache of stuff there so you won’t be mooching off their stuff. I know this seems like a no brainer but in my travels you’d be surprised how many people say stuff like; I would just head to my Dads/ brothers/sisters/grand parents/ uncles/friend etc. and I ask; have you talked to them about it? And the answer is; well no but I just know it would be ok… Don’t count on it even family can get squirly when things are bad and all of a sudden you show up and complicate things worse.

If you don’t know your neighbors hold a neighborhood preparedness meeting and pass out flyers Who ever shows up could be a good pool to find some allies from eventually. But at first just keep it mild and emphasis on preparedness for emergencies/natural disasters and job losses etc. If you find some folks who have potential take your time and get to know them first before you put your full trust in them. Some folks are very good at using people and seem like good people at first but over time they will eventually reveal themselves. I have run into some of those.

Also if you do find some new people you feel are on the same page that is good but still don’t reveal all to them about your preps caches ammo guns etc. Just say I have a few things but need more. Never be real specific about what all you have. I see people on the boards give completes inventories sometimes and this is just stupid in my opinion. I never respond on threads that ask questions about what everyone has or is doing it is just not wise

Anyway the point is we need to stand against tyranny and stop being bullied but we need to stand in numbers for it to be effective. We need to keep educating and find those within our sphere of influence who will stand with us! However pick your battles and your friends wisely.

Most folks are still in their own little world and will never come out until it is too late. Have some "care packs" for those who come around but make sure they understand you don't have enough to sustain them. Soup works great for this.

I agree, having people turn you in because you have more than them is a possibility. It is also possible to align yourself with like minded people or give quick instruction to the uninformed to make your block appear better protected than it really is.

The recent thread about Argentina is a good eye opener. No matter what scenario you have in your head as to how this all will unfold, discard it. It will never break in your favor or when you expect it. You'll still have to go to work the next day after a market/financial collapse. So will I. Wall street types might be crushed but rank and file still goes out and does their job.

It's the part where the feds step in that worries me. Troops on our soil? Curfews? Ratting on neighbors? There's no escape of that. Hopefully, the early stages will weed out the weak. In winter, if there is no electricity or gas, every apartment in the big cities will be abandoned. They will turn into drug dens or other nefarious places. No heat - no home. Only those with a fireplace or woodstove will last the winter. Then it becomes a matter of protecting your firewood supply.

Yup, this could get really, really ugly.

nobody is connected. The only "militia" I see forming is between tight friends and family. We're witnessing the last stages of the Greatest Depression and I think it's probably too late to put your fate in strangers hands-there are way too many people ready to run their mouths or turn on others for some government favor.
I'd say find a way to protect your house (I'm sure you can be imaginative with home security devices that don't rely on calling the cops) and protect your family with food, and self defense stuff. And maintain whatever family contacts you have and try to pool your resources.

electrical outage 5, 6, 7 days ago from winds via Ike, the outage lasted for two days. It would be easy for them to just shut down the power and let your food spoil, people would freak 'n start beggin'. Sad huh. That is too much control!

Do militias even exist? Militias are generally considered to be of a radical nature, or is this propaganda?

Look at the history of Nazi germany. History teaches us the majority is EVIL and they were more than willing to turn in the jews for money. Look around You do You actually think You can trust you're neighbors I sure as hell don't. They will turn me in in a heart beat if they felt they could get some sort of gain out of it. The coming colapse will hurt alot of people especially when the grocery stores shut down.
