The passage in John 21 about "If I will that he (John) tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" is another hint, though John goes on in the next verse to say, "yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry, what is that to thee?".
There are other verses my dad uses to back up his belief, but I don't remember them right now.

There's nothing in Revelation about the Antichrist being a Muslim, his age, or anything else.
I can say with absolute certanty that Barack Obama is not the Antichrist. I say that because the Antichrist has already come, has already won, and has been dead for nearly 2 millenia.
The Antichrist's name was Nero Ceasar. He won because he nationalized the first Christian church and twisted the message through political garble. The prophecy came true, and Christ's true message has been lost to history.
John (or whomever wrote Revelation) said that the Antichrist would come in his lifetime. He's dead.

Okay, I think you are very confused. First, Nero did not nationalize Christianity. He opposed it bitterly and killed thousands of Christians in the worst oppression in probably the history of the church culminating in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
Constantine was the emperor who nationalized Christianity and started what would become the Holy Roman Empire. This was truly a sad day for the church, but it certainly wasn't its death-nail. Despite this setback, the church continued to thrive and grow -- the gospel was not lost. This is why we still have it today. Christ's "true" message has survived throughout the centuries and is seen in the lives and hearts of those who are committed to Him.
Now, back to Nero. It is true that many believe him to be the "beast" described in Revelation -- specifically the man identified by 666 (Nero, spelled out in Latin, forms this number). However, just as many Old Testament prophecies refer to multiple events within the same passage (Christ's first and second coming or the King of Tyre and the fall of Lucifer for examples), it is quite likely that Revelation referred to the events of the fall of Jerusalem as well as a future tribulation.
What it comes down to is that it is still up for interpretation. Many of the events described in Revelation have not yet happened, so we cannot simply say that the book is fulfilled. There is just as much reason to believe that the coming New World Order is a fulfillment of Revelation prophecies.

The Roman Catholic church claims that the pope is Christ on Earth, and is unfalliable... The horrors brought to man by the Roman Catholic church throughout history is unmeasurable. In fact most, if not all, protestant reformation leaders preached against the "pope position" from the beginning. But now you will not hear anyone preach against the RCC, or the government and its actions. I am not saying that Roman Catholics are bad and doomed. I am saying that the Position of Pope is wrong, and misleading millions and millions of people. The Word tells me that I can go to God in prayer to have my sins forgiven, yet the Pope claims that I have to pray through him. The Pope is not Christ, but yet he has set himself up as "God on Earth" just as God told us he would.
I believe personally that is where the churches now stand in awe...and ignore the happenings around them. No one speaks out aginast a church who was all for the holocaust, and churches won't speak out against the government because they are afraid of losing their tax free status. To trade the souls and minds of their flock for a few bucks.. That is why I personally need only the Word of God, and fellowship with my fellow men and women who are believers. I don' t need a man standing at a pulpit to tell me what God wants, or how to believe or think. The Word is God. What else do you need?

I do not believe rapture is Biblical. As a matter of fact God teaches that he is against those who teach His people to fly away to save their souls. Ezekiel 13:18-20 KJV. It was never taught until the 1800's when a "sick" women named Mary McDonald (Scotland?) had an evil, dark experience. Some church leaders ran with it and taught it as church doctrine.
I believe rapture is a tool of apathy to deceive the Christians into thinking they have a way out of this mess before the NWO and anti-Christ show up on the scene. I am a Christian but no longer bamboozled by all of the man-made doctrines. It is a rough road and I am in the minority...but God said it would be that way. The majority will end up worshipping the anti-Christ through deceit and lack of knowledge.
Good rule of thumb: As long as we are in our flesh bodies then the true Christ has not returned. When he returns on Mt Zion we will instantly be in our spriritual bodies. He will return on 777 the 7th seal, the 7th vial, the 7th trump. Satan will come down to earth "defacto" on the 6th trump, 6th vial, and 6th seal. 666.
The mark is not a tatoo, it is the seal of Satan in your forehead/your mind. It is your belief system. God can read your mind.
The Bible reads that the seal of God is in your forehead also. Your hands and the work you do for your master (God or Satan) will show all whom you serve (by the fruits of your labor). Think about it if I have the seal of God in my forehead (mind/heart) then Satan/anti- Christ could drag me in a room and tatoo me from head to toe...that won't make me worship him, instead of God.
The beast is the one-world gov (NWO?) which fails (head wound). Anti-Chist (Satan ) will come in and save the day with miracles and promises of peace and no worries..just have to worship his image to get it.

Due to time restraints I am unable to explain the errors of the rapture theory. The verses you listed above are actually corrections "against' the rapture theory. Hint: You must always know what the "subject" is to understand what the verse means.

You see, God is going to put a slumber on the majority of those who choose not to hear the truth. I don't have time for them..I am to brush off the dust and move on. It is not my job to convince anyone, that is the Holy Spirit's responsibility. All I have to do is repeat God's message. My yoke is light. Ron Paul feels the same way about his liberty message.
He is just the messenger.
I believe the Holy Spirit puts people together to achieve God's will. If that is the case I will spend all of the time needed. As far as making you receptive to the Truth, that is up to the Holy Spirit (to open your heart, eyes and ears...that is not my job. You would not believe the pressure that is taken off from me knowing that it is not up to me to convince you of the truth. I wasn't always like this, I used be a "salesman" for God, that is hard work and doesn't always lead to true conversions...just a lot of emotions, not always true repentance.
I don't believe all pastors are evil, but I do believe most of them are ignorant. The seminaries and Bible schools crank them out like sausages...they are not taught to think and search the scriptures for themselves. They all look alike and talk alike...."talk like a sausage" (I am aging myself. :) Couldn't resist....oh, those temptations.
About 7 years ago the blinders were taken off through fervent, but quickly answered prayer. I knew something was wrong with the evangelical messages but I couldn't put my finger on it. I had my so-called "BA" experience over 30 years ago. BA is also an error, I cringe to use that expression. This BA and "rapture" thing is not new to me, I have been around the block.
I believe the false security of rapture has lead to the apathy of the church (esp. Evangelicals) and in our present political situation as well. Why worry about it? me and my family? we're out of here, the "great escape". Rapture has got to be Satan's (anti-Christ's ) favorite tool to deceive the masses into worshipping him, and they will..
Through vigorous study, I am now more grounded, I know God, and His plans for us. I have not "arrived", but I now have my emotions in check. In the past, (with limited knowledge of God's word) I have mistaken my emotions for the Holy Spirit (blush).

For brevity I am assuming you have your Bible in front of you. I am not listing the verses word for word.
These are some deep verses, so your questions to clarify are welcome.
I am trying to be "pithy". (Yuch-I always think of Bill O'Reilly when I hear that word).
In a nutshell (Chap 13) , God is warning FALSE prophets. The "pillows and kerchiefs" spoken of, are covering the joints of God's hands to hide from the People the hands of Jehovah lifted up and stretched forth in judgement.
In verse 13:20 God states "Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt (=ensnare) the souls to make them fly..."
fly away; as in rapture.
In 13:19 God hates their lies...."to slay the souls that should not die, and save the souls alive that should not live..."
slay=to prophesy(falsely) that they should be slain
Just like the well known verse explaining the 2 in the field, only one is left. The field represents the world, the one who is left in the field is still tarrying for God, The one who left the field has been deceived and is
serving the false Christ.
Another thing to note..to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (all souls, the good, the bad and the ugly). So when we discuss the dead "shall rise first" of course they will, they have already died and to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Besides we will never have our flesh bodies again...we will be in our spirit bodies the instant we see Christ. We are not able to see God in our flesh bodies and live.
Lets just same I am correct and there is no rapture...please, if you don't remember anything else I say. Just know this, If you think Christ has returned and you are still in your flesh body DO NOT worhip him, he is the anti-Christ (=instead of Christ).
When the true Christ returns we will all be instantly in spiritual bodies. Now that is a "sort of rapture", in that we will all be in the air (spiritual) bodies off of the ground (no Nikes necessary).

Those Ezekiel verses are speaking about women who are using witchcraft to deceive His people and the "fly" word "may be" read as "flying away from God" as in leaving Him, causing them to "fly".

To say that the second coming of Christ to gather His saints will be secret, in view of these clear texts of Scripture,Revelation 6:16,17, Matthew 24:27, 1 Corinthians 15;52,Psalm 50:3, Revelation 1:7, Matthew 24:31... and in the absence of any text that even hints at His coming being secret, is to deny the Bible as the Word of God. In an attempt to uphold their contrived theory, the rapturists quote Matthew 24:40, 41 out of context. Notice this entire passage:
"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating
and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left" (Matthew 24:37-41).
Jesus is clearly drawing a parallel between the second coming and the days of Noah. Those who entered the ark in Noah's day were saved, and those who refused to enter the ark were left outside. But what were they left for For another chance No, obviously they were left to be destroyed by the Flood. So, says Jesus, will it be when He comes at the end of the world. One will be taken to heaven with Jesus, and the other will be left for destruction. Verse 51 makes clear what will happen to those who are left: "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Read Luke 17:26-37 for Luke's parallel account of these same words of Jesus. In verse 36, this statement is made:... "Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left...." Now notice verse 37 and the question the disciples asked: "And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord" They wanted to know where those who didn't go to heaven were going to be left. ....Notice Jesus' clear answer:.. "And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together".......
Take note how Jesus taught that the bodies of the wicked are going to be left on the ground for the eagles to consume. Scripture is too plain to be misunderstood. Only as we accept all that the Bible says can we be safe from such deceptive teachings that are confusing millions of sincere Christians today concerning this most glorious event of all ages, the second coming of Jesus Christ....
Now, I realize that the rapturists hang onto the texts that liken the Lord's coming to "a thief in the night." They assume that this must be a quiet, secret coming..... But does it really mean that Let's show that it definitely does not..... Here is one of those texts in 2 Peter 3: 10: "The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat...." Obviously the "thief' part has nothing to do with secrecy because the heavens will pass away with a great noise! And if coming "as a thief' is the secret rapture which takes place seven years before the end of the world, how can the heavens and earth "pass away," as Peter describes it The heavens and earth could not pass away seven years before the world ends - that is the end!.....
The fact is that Jesus Himself explained clearly just how a thief's coming could be related to His coming:... "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. ...But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up" (Matthew 24:42, 43).... There it is, so plain and simple! The thief would come unexpectedly when the owners were not looking for a thief.... In the same way, His coming would take people by surprise. They would not be watching or looking for it....(I hope you didn't mind that I jump in, thank's)
