The Noose Tightens

The following is a reader email that comes by way of George Ure's Urban Survival website:
"Since 9/11, our Constitutional rights have been systematically dismantled:
- USA Patriot Act - A 342 page document presented to Congress one day before voting on it that allows the government access to your bank and email accounts, as well as your medical and phone records with no court order. They can also search your home anytime without a warrant.
- USA Patriot Act II - This one allows secret government arrests, the legal authority to seize your American citizenship, and the extraction of your DNA if you are deemed a potential terrorist.
- Military Commissions Act of 2006 - Ends habeas corpus, the right to an attorney, and the right to court review of one's detention and arrest. Without this most basic right, all other rights are gone too since anyone can be detained indefinitely. Now anyone may be arrested and incarcerated and nobody would know.
- NSPD 51 - A directive signed by George W. Bush on May 9, 2007, that allows the President to declare martial law, effectively transforming the U.S. into a dictatorship with no checks and balances from the Legislative or Judicial Branches. Parts of this directive are considered classified and members of Congress have been denied the right to review it.
- Protect America Act of 2007 - Allows unprecedented domestic wiretapping and surveillance activities with a reduction in FISA court oversight. Probable cause is not needed. John Warner Defense Authorization Act - Signed by George W. Bush on October 17, 2007, this act allows the President to declare a public emergency and station troops anywhere in America without the consent of the governor or local authorities to "suppress public disorder.
- Homegrown Terrorism and Radicalization Act - Passed overwhelmingly by Congress on October 23, 2007, is now awaiting a Senate vote. This act will beget a new crackdown on dissent and the Constitutional rights of American citizens. The definitions of "terrorism" and "extremism" are so vague that they could be used to generalize against any group that is working against the policies of the Administration. In this bill, "violent radicalization" criminalizes thought and ideology while "homegrown terrorism" is defined as "the planed use of force to coerce the government." The term, "force" could encompass political activities such as protests, marches, or any other form of non-violent resistance.
So when you add in:
- Halliburton Confirms Camps Constructed
- Halliburton's Immigrant Detention Centers
- Homeland Security Contracts for Vast New Detention Camps
- Halliburton Confirms Concentration Camps Already Constructed
- KBR awarded Homeland Security contract worth up to $385M
- This from Halliburton's own website
It starts to get a little scary."

Yea, though I walk through
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Litany against fear
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

QUESTIONABLE JOURNALISM...
I got to call this out. I know it is a minor detail but it pisses me off-- AND when FAUX does this.. we S*%T down their throats.
Sorry Michael, not at you. I know that you cant possibly have the time to validate every little thing.
Click on # 4. The picture of the detention facility that you see when you scroll down with the chain-linked fence, razor wire, and tower with a video camera...
Well it is BUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did my part of my basic training there as an MP. It is a MOCK facility capable of holding 12 "prisoners"
Perhaps it has been changed since then. But that photo comes from before 1999.
Google images "Fort Leonard Wood MP Correctional Training"
Now, I am certainly not vouching for good ole Haliburton, but it is everybody's responsibility to call misleading journalism when they can vouch for it. When I looked at that I thought to myself, "Damn, they got that thing up and its looking pretty clean and ready to be used!"
Then I realized WTF! I remember that place!
That is crap and it certainly diminishes the credibility of their efforts on investigative journalism (I guess it is just a blog). What bothers me the most is that they tried to portray this photo as a concentration camp- I can vouch that it is not--as of a few years ago: when THAT photo was taken!! Maybe it has changed, but it sure as hell would not look that clean and new 10 years later!!!!
I just thought I would let everyone know before they began reading and became effected by the psychology of peripheral imagery on the sub-concious in order to fuel shock and anger.
Question everything..
Questionable Accusation
Does the site actually state that picture is a picture of a camp, or are they just using it as essentially a generic photo of what a camp might look like?
It would seem the latter, since there is no caption and no reference to it that I can see.

thanks
hey, thanks for catching that.
I guess all these repressive
I guess all these repressive measures to protect the government indicate that they are even more frightened of us than we are of them. We certainly outnumber them, but they are united and we are not.
One thing about the last 150 years is that in general life got better as the economy expanded. Even if you were being screwed by the rigged economic system, our masters were not smart enough to keep you from getting a share of the expansion even while they took the lions share. This kept the pain from rebelling greater than the pain from going along and accepting the rigged economy. The economic expansion was driven by energy and cheap energy at that.
Now we are out of the cheap energy, and probably will see oil production actually falling sometime in the next few years. This will cause the trend in the economy to generally be down instead of generally up; there will be less of the pie to go around. Sometime soon, perhaps before 2020 the pain from going along will exceed the pain from rebellion and there will be a natural drive toward civil disorder, probably of the magnitude of 1776 and 1861. That is my take on it.
thanks foe the memories
COME & get me at least I won't be busting my ass for them anymore.

How does it feel to be.
The messenger of bad news... I particularly don't care whether or not it bothers people anymore... Most will soon realize I'm doing it for their personal awareness and Freedom anyhow. The time of gentle nurture and soft pushing of the topics are well past. This bailout goes trough it will be the straw that broke the camels back.

I don't care if it upsets people as long as it shakes a few awake. Regards to ya oruval... keep up the good work.

There's one part of this overall plan that's been left out
The wars we are now involved in, I believe have been a ruse to get our National Guard out of the country. Therefore, allowing the use of the regular military to deal with any and all civil unrest here at home.
The regular military now consists of many who are not even American citizens. Does anyone think for a moment they would have any problem firing on US citizens? The National Guard, who are your friends and, neighbors would, but what about our regular military as it now exists today?
"They" have thought of everything. We can only hope that "They" make a mistake that will be their downfall and not ours.
Hasn't anyone wondered why the National Guard was sent to fight these wars and not the regular military?
The Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act have all but been abolished and ignored by the this administration, in using regular military in recent disasters. What's to stop our government from using them against their own citizens?
Yes it has been a disgusting 8 years
Not to mention the 1,267,401 innocent Iraqi's that have been murdered

It gives the Secretary of the Treasury dictatorial power to do whatever he wants with money he doesn't have. Add that to the list.
Print a copy of this and a list of the sites
and give to family members. Tell them to keep it where they keep important papers. Put it in an envelope and say open it if anything happens to me...say its your will. I know we aren't bad people but they think we are, and I can't say that I'm not wondering WTF is going to happen to US.

So...while all the sheep were happy to see a fence put up around them, to protect them from the wolves supposedly, the fence was actually being put up to more efficiently guide them to their slaughter.

Yet, some of us sheep see the fence for what it is; a cage. So what are we going to do about it?

Socialism vs. Capitalism
Image: http://digg.com/political_opinion/Socialism_vs_Capitalism_7
www.attheparade.com
Is there a difference between capitalism and fascism?
I think corporate welfare is a sign fascism...and the opposite of capitalism.
Capitalism vs. Fascism
Capitalism is the economic system in which the means of production are owned by private persons, and operated for profit and where investments, distribution, income, production and pricing of goods and services are predominantly determined through the operation of a free market.
Fascism is a totalitarian nationalist political ideology and mass movement that is concerned with notions of cultural decline or decadence, and which seeks to achieve a millenarian national rebirth by exalting the nation or race, as well as promoting cults of unity, strength and purity.
The free market does not exist within a fascist system. The free market can only exist within a free society...

"The thought police would get him just the same. He had committed—would have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper—the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever. You might dodge successfully for a while, even for years, but sooner or later they were bound to get you."
Excerpt from George Orwell's 1984
Bye Bye Miss American Empire
We started singing,
“bye-bye, Miss American Empire.”
Drove the nation to the station,
Now the station is dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, “this will be the day the dollar dies.”
“This’ll be the day that it dies.”
I met a man who sang the blues
And I asked him for the real news,
But he just smiled and showed the way.
And I went on to that Internet
To hear the news that I could not get
And the man there said there’s to much debt
And in the streets: the masses scream,
We began to listened, and began to dream.
The doctor’s words were now spoken;
The church bells were not all were broken.
And the man I admire most:
The doctor, Ron, deserves a toast,
Let’s show the world we are not just posts
The day the dollar died.
We started singing,
“bye-bye, Miss American Empire.”
Drove the nation to the station,
Now the station is dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, “this will be the day the dollar dies.”
“This’ll be the day that it dies.”
