for these kind of people who have everything, more is better - more money, more power. It's human nature.

he is one of those eagle scout, know it all, always #1 guys. He is serving a tremendous ego. Like so many at the highest levels of government or anything.

Here goes some conspiracy peanut butter (a wild guess from wacky land):

I heard on NPR that Paulson used to be a leader in the conservation movement (Conservation International?) and that he's an avid bird watcher. If someone really, really wants to save the earth and the wildlife, they know that the greatest threat is people...we're overpopulated and the only way to keep a money based economy alive is to keep overpopulating and overdeveloping our natural resources and natural areas.

I don't think Paulson cares about money anymore; he cares about power and a NWO that will create massive corridors of natural habitat by eliminating the major threat: people. I think Paulson reads the Georgia Guidestones and says, "You know, I could really make that happen."

Population goal: 500 million, down from 6 billion or so.

Imagine the American west returning to a natural state it hasn't seen since before our genocide against the Native Americans. That view had to have been worth more money than mere numbers can calculate.

Then you seek power. He's never "worked" a day in his life.

They're psychopaths! If they were not rich and lived amongst us they would be recognizable serial killers. Because they are rich and band together to commit their heinous crimes, we don't recognize their sociopathic nature for what it is, in my opinion. It's unfortunate, but we don' t look at them as serial killers, but they are! They have no human compassion and they carry malignant hearts in their chests w/malice aforethought in all of their dealings! They are aberrations of nature and we need to contain them!

...and prestige even more than the money.

And I think we can safely state that THAT is what this Paulson guy is about.

He is NOT someone who got wealthy by starting a company (like say Gates with Microsoft or Jobs with Apple and Pixar, or countless thousands of other companies) that produces some "products" which serve productive purposes in life...

Instead, he was someone who got wealthy by "gaming" the system, and playing on people's greed, lusts, and fears.

And along the way, his entire "persona" became caught up with power & prestige -- and the BIG money was the path to those things.

A man like this guy CANNOT actually enjoy life. He probably has no REAL interests or passions (if he *did* then he would have been comfortable and "retired" a long time ago).

Note that by "retired" does not mean one has to quit working -- if you have a "creative passion" that finds its outlet through your company (think Jobs at Apple, or the Google guys) then one can continue to work, but yet not have making even more money (personally) as your primary goal (though obviously on your shareholders behalf it needs to be "A" goal of the company itself). LOTS of entrepreneurs have done this -- look at Elon Musk the PayPal guy who started his SpaceX company, etc.

He supposedly has 700million in Goldman Sachs stocks, so of course all of this is in his self-interest. Maybe that is where they came up with hypothetical figure of 700 for the bailout which in reality according to Bob Chapman will probably go up to 3-10 trillion since no one knows what is hiding from the balance sheets.

Well if he still owns any stock, then he does have a direct interest in it passing. If it does not pass, his stock will tank.
