Real reason for the market plunge?

It might be that the high-wage earning part of our population is already anticipating an Obama win and they are attempting to adjust their salaries through market manipulation to fall under the $250K level.
Just a silly thought to combat the depressing carnage of today.

What if the market dropped
What if the market dropped this much today, and possibly in the next couple days, because the financial institutions that were hoping to get bailed out are manipulating the markets in an attempt to scare people into thinking that not passing the bailout was a big mistake?
That's just a thought I had, and I wouldn't put past those guys.
No, I don't think so.
The market doesn't care in the least about political views. The market only cares about making money. The market is a herd, a flock, a school, and reacts with predictable reactions in the wake of fear or greed. Yesterday they were greedy, Today they feared.

Government did the unexpected.
The government set the market up to think they were going to pass the bailout. So people had placed their bets on the happening. When it didn't happen, the market reacted to the sudden knowledge that their expectations were wrong.
Well, yes, Bush did try to
Well, yes, Bush did try to appease the markets here and around the world by tossing an LSD-laced pacifier to everyone. With the efforts of the fine people here, it's nice to see it didn't work.
What's really funny to me is the knowledge that we absolutely hammered these representatives today to vote "nay", and then they all go in front of the press to play their usual politics and blame the other party. It's a revolting, disgusting process that none can come out of without feeling like they need an immediate shower.
