Wonderfully hopeful and optimistic article by Lew Rockwell
I'm fully aware that Paulson and Bernanke have some nefarious scheme in mind to reverse the thrilling defeat of their criminal bailout package, a package shot down by independent members of Congress on both sides. But reflect for a few minutes on what it means that the House did this. It was a revolutionary act in the best sense of that term.

"Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race; but here and there, in the course of ages, an individual has stood up and cast his shadow over the world."

A great day for liberty
I feel like I should frame this article. This is Lew at his very best.
"Bad debts can't be made good by legislation."
Now that's good media.

The laws of Economics are as inviolate as the laws of physics.
Although I won't go so far as to say, "schools should require students to study basic economics," I admit I'd be happier if all voters and their elected representatives did so.

Really?
I think they ought to 'require it' I mean if we're going to have them study US History we might as well have them do some Econ too. It's not that math intensive.
I was lucky, in High School I was assigned to read a 300 Page book on Andrew Jackson's battle with William Biddle (The head of the Second Bank of the US) it was quite interesting, kinda got me started on econ.
Bush is a lame duck
It has come to the point in his administration that even Congress sees he's on the way out and they need to get in line with to be re-elected by the real (if intermittent) power in this country: voters.
