Get our news and information here to go out into public and dissent among the ranks. Don't discount us all we are trying, not sitting here on the keyboard. I have had to quit a job because I raised questions so be aware that not everyone can speak and act at any given time. The internet is great place to find like minded individuals but the real world or those who have not taken red pill yet are hard to convince without a little research.

It's bothering me how media is spinning it as if she was against the bailout. It might not seem like it is relevant now that the bailout was voted down, but it is possible that it might come up again.

At least they are here and not just sitting in front of the TV watching FOX. If someone is on this site they just might learn something.

It would be nice if someone would come in as themselves instead of as a Ron Paul supporter and then troll all over every post. Mostly people are cowards and cannot be honest and straight forward.

and user of DP. I've been registered with DP for a year but haven't posted anything recently for a number of reasons.

1. I got in to it with 911 truthers about a few things. Now I DO believe the gov't has some explaining to do as to how they could ignore all the intelligence that said something big was going to happen. However nothing I have seen leads me to believe it was an inside job. There are bigger fish to fry and I want the BIG ONE. That being said, it seemed to be getting overrun with 911 truth talk which I don't believe Michael intended that. He intended it to be a forum to communicate ideas to each other on how to get RP elected.

Anyone that questions my knowledge on conspiracy "theories" should just know that I have been researching conspiracy theories since I was 16 and I'm now 35. I'm not new to the B.S. that our government and the elitists have been doing. But, I'm not a conspiracy theorists, I'm a conspiracy factist. I was in this back in the late 80's early 90's when everyone was calling New World Order conspiracy Factists right wing kooks and nut jobs.

2. I work full time and I'm working on starting my own business. I have a family to attend to and take care of. Among many other things.The only chance I really have to get on the computer is when I get home from work at 1 a.m. By then I'm not much into typing because I have to keep the noise down to a minimum. Once I start I keep going but I felt compelled to respond to this post so people who are able to sign on and post more than me would be able to understand that some of us also use DP as an alternative media source. There is a lot of good current info that is put up here. I'm not much of a talker any way. I prefer action. I am however an extraordinarily great open minded listener. I also have a web site of my own to maintain.

3. I have wrote my reps constantly on matters of the Constitution for over 15 years. I've called them. I've talked to others about what is going on behind the scenes in our gov't in hopes to open more eyes. I am an active Life Member of Gun Owners of America, annual member of the John Birch Society, and several other organizations. I've read the books, watched the documentaries, listened to the cd's. How many of you have ever heard about the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). The "Stop the FTAA" sticker is still on my car. It was the Security Prosperity & Partnership (North American Union) only tenfold. We defeated the FTAA even after CAFTA (Central America Free Trade Agreement) passed and Bush jr thought the FTAA would pass with flying colors. After that they have been trying to push the N.A.U. undercover and out of congress.

4. I've known about RP for almost 20 years. Always admired and respected the man because he has always stood up for the Constitution and the ideas and principles that being a Constitutionalist requires. Now I'm not very religious but I thanked God when I found out that he was running for president. I also signed up to be a precinct leader. I made the calls and talked to to people. Plastered my car with RP stickers etc...

5. I also simply enjoy seeing the comments, opinions, and ideas from you all. I love the motivation and passion that I see by so many of you. It's very encouraging to see that finally after soooo many years of being labeled a kook, nut job, anti government militant, etc... more and more people have not just opened their eyes but taken the time to investigate after their eyes were opened. Even if I may have some disagreements with some of you I would proudly fight and die beside you for the sake of our Constitution.

Now that I'm home I can tell you one reason why there are "guests" scanning this site, because some of us are at work and can't log in. I read DP at work, esp when there is something really big going on. This site is my news source. At work there is a lot of restrictions on internet as you may well know, but for now I can still read it even if I don't dare log in. There has been times when I can't bring it up, but for now it isn't blocked, thank God.

Thanks for the invite. Just because we browsers don't often post doesn't mean we aren't eager students and activists doing our part to help the cause. My fax machine has been working overtime too and I have gotten more education through this site then ever before. I've been with you all for quite a while, but have only posted like 1x. I don't care to argue and it gets a little tense at times out here.

Got my seeds, metals, food supply, pile of soon to be worthless FRNs, well for water , and on and on. Trying to learn to garden and not doing too good there, but will keep at it. It's been a seriously busy year trying to prepare and keep up with all the excellent advice given at the DP.

Not sure why my area is having such a gas shortage for the last 2 weeks. Metro Atlanta seems to be on the short end of the stick for gas deliveries. Not too much talk anywhere about that issue and I see that all the states around us have plenty. (?)

And when a spouse is so sloooooow to wake up, it gets very lonely trying to figure it out on your own. Learned a ton about guns, thanks to all those enthusiasts out there that gave all that great personal advice on the fire arms threads. It was very helpful. I am hoping for the rise in the metals price but can holdout for as long as it takes. Can't believe how we have been so lied to and manipulated by those sworn to protect our liberty & freedom.

I knew the first time I saw Ron Paul speak that he was the leader I'd been waiting for. As a seeker of truth it really just pours so naturally out of him that that I am incredulous to those who don't get it after hearing him speak on any topic. What an inspiring teacher he is. Every once in a while this same type of thread pops up. Please listen carefully so that you can respond with the same answer in the future. Judging from the same thread coming up week after week someone is going to create another like this.

There is a likely scenario that all of the concurrent connections are from search bots (spiders) such as google, yahoo, etc.. scouring the site for information. The more popular a website is the harder is gets hit as content is added to the site faster (you and everyone else making posts) the bots have to work harder to keep their search engines updated with that information.

Then there are the bad bots that ignore robots.txt rules and connect literally hundreds of times per minute. These bots are from a variety of companies that have poor coders. Google and Yahoo are very low footprint and are loved by web admins for the most part because they don't nail the site heavily and add to bogus traffic.

I'd hate to say it but the majority of bots out there are created by companies you've never heard of and nail sites with hundreds of fake connections. Some bots hit sites with tons of connections of purpose to get as much information at one time as possible then get out and move to the next site. Google, Yahoo, and other major well known search engines do not work that way.

A website cannot distinguish between a search engine and a real person unless it's coded to do so. I'm not sure if Drupal does that but even if it does the list of search engines has to be continually updated. There are new search bots springing up almost on a monthly basis. It's something an admin really has to stay on top of unless they want their visitor count to be artificially inflated.

The long list of hundreds of visitors right now could be legitimate or it might not. It depends on how Nystrom has the site setup.

If you notice that on a normal day only 50 users are online and in less than 10 minutes or so the count jumps to 300 when there is nothing significant to talk about or activity is actually normal and not wildfire then you know it's a search engine with hundreds of concurrent connections scouring every link, page, user profile, and content in the site. Search engines can suck up information like a vacuum and their appetite is only as great or small as it's programmed for.

That's the long answer to a short question and some education for those not familiar with how websites can track "current visitors".and not actually show real users but automated search bots.

I haven't been posting much lately HERE but use this site a as source of information.

I have been emailing out the Daily Paul web address to everybody I know. I have heard back from a few of them, who really like what is posted. They are waking up, but not quite ready to stand up and be counted.
